New Head gasket and add a turbo with a loud blowoff valve. Logan will love it
Change the Head gasket on the 420a they are fun to daily and now there are Turbo mods for them. For the donor Rebuild the 4g63 and have Father son cars!!!!🤔😎 "Dads car will always be Faster tho..."😂
I definitely like the idea of fixing the green car’s engine and continuing to make it look like the the movie car on a budget and leave it for your son
Then fix up the red car and make it an exact replica of the movie car with you and your sons’ added touch to it and keep it for yourself
That is what I was going to say. Fix the red car into the correct version of the movie car for yourself and then you have one and your son has one.
Man these kids know quite a bit about cars for how young they are like they just keep naming things off

It can't be harder to swap the other engine into this car. Maybe the wiring harness and dash cluster the hardest part.

My guess is head gasket blown or not that wouldn't been cheap if from the show. I agree with you.. Definitely fix the other motor and use it regardless which car you use. Great video. Living the dream and so are those boys. Be proud bro!
It's the black door handles that stick out to me.They're supposed to be same color as the car.

If thats a 420a good luck I went thru 3 tyrannys before 150k, crankwalk, threw a rod. Chrysler disguised as a mitsubishi I never had 1 problem with my actual 4g63 cars or 4g64 cars the 420 is a nightmare. I've had 4 different 2g eclipses spyders and hardtop. You got a hardtop which is good they spyders leak like crazy. The body looks good, you won't find any of the old greddy gauges or anything anymore and if you do it'll be so expensive it won't be worth it. I'd just work on gettin that 420a outta there, everything else looks pretty solid. Good luck man 👍

I just completed my 420a to 4g63 swap the front clip had to be cut and welded. Lots of work to do the swap. Look up on dsmtuners my build is on there.

If it is to much to swap the 4G63 then make it a project for you and your son to swap everything else from the GS to the the GS-T and fix the knock. That’s my two pennies worth. Your don will have a legendary car and you will have the greatest memories which are priceless.

I use to have the correct wing for the fast and the furious eclipse that looked brand new and threw it away in a car I was scraping not knowing what it was thinking it was just some cheap ricer wing.

If it’s for my kid, I’m going through everything non cosmetic with a fine tooth comb. Brakes, suspension, engine, trans, drivetrain.
If the bottom end isn’t knocking, rebuild the head, put a new cat back system, intake.
