    Emily picked a great patch, the 4 provinces of Ireland are on it,
    there is a road you could have taken through the middle of the Iveragh/Ring of Kerry peninsula, it takes in Ballachbeama and Bealach Oisin gaps, you'd have loved it on the bike, Great video, great food, that Guinness looked ok for 00.

      Glad you approve of the Patch choice -it's a decision that is not taken lightly 😄. Yeah we soon realized there were so many awesome rides but unfortunately time just didn't allow it, still a great reason to come back again in the future so thanks for the recommendations! 😎👍 For a zero Guinness it really was very good!

    Another great video, nice find that peninsular down that single track road, where was that? One of my wifes friend's had their wedding pictures taken at Ross Beigh Castle, very picturesque area. I see you went through Killorglin as well, thats a nice little town.

      Thanks Gavin, it was called Ross-Behy (there's a link to a route map in the first pinned comment in case you need it). A great backdrop for wedding pictures 😊. Lot's of really nice little towns dotted about -would have been nice to have more time to explore them.

    Next time stay in Kenmare, much nicer than Killarney. Some great drone shots. The reason of the sign to ‘exercise caution’ is because the tide comes in there and you could find yourself underwater if you leave and go for a walk😮

      @SeanandEmily  4 місяці тому

      Thanks for the tip! Kenmare looks a lovely place to stay! For sure we will consider it next time 😊

    Such a shame the tide was in on Ross Beigh beach, when the tide is out you get to see the full scale of the thing, its huge!!! Fun fact the opening scene from Ryans daughter was filmed there.

      Fortunately we were able to catch a glimpse of it the next day as we made our way to Galway -spectacular! Oh really, there has been so many films and tv series filmed in Ireland but it's easy to see why they choose it. Thanks for watching 😊

    Been to Ireland many times and done the Wild Atlantic Way (stunning) from Belfast to Tralee, need to go back and do the southern leg including the Ring. Have friends near Skibbereen in West Cork so always an excuse to go👍
    PS. Zero Guinness is almost as good as the real stuff😉

      Hi Ian, first time for us to Ireland on the bike but it's easy to see why people go back, so many off shoots the the main route and isnads to visit there must be always a new place to explore. That's a very handy place to have friends 😊. I was very surprised with how good the Zero Guinness was! Yeah i think you are right! 😎👍

    Tip from a local here lads, unwritten rule and understanding with all the coaches, Buses all go anticlockwise round the ring and all others are advised to go the opposite to avoid congestion in the high season (July, August).

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  4 місяці тому

      A great Tip! Actually in think Emily read that somewhere before the trip. We choose to go clockwise so we were riding next to the coast and not on the other side -great Bonus about the buses going the opposite direction -also a good tip if anyone is visiting by coach to sit on the right hand side of the coach
      Thanks for your comment 😎👍

    Hi guys,
    My wife and I have just come back from two weeks riding around Europe on our own 1250. I've been using the new BMW connected ride, but I really found it poor as it sent us down closed roads and simple wasn't accurate on route tines or traffic delays.
    I'm interested in how you get on with yours as I see Sean does run it alongside his phone.

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  4 місяці тому

      Hi Bruce, we hope you had a great trip!
      I guess we can't really comment on it's navigation as we had loaded it with GPX routes made on the calimoto app.
      We were running the phone in parallel to check that the route was being followed and also when you put a GPX route onto a navigator you lose the stopping points (the route becomes one continues line). I prefer the navigator to be high up so it's easier to glance at.
      We also used the phone in case we wanted to deviate form the GPX route.
      Out of interest did the connected ride have an internet connection via your phone with data use permitted to anticipate the traffic delays?

    • @BruceShilton1973
      @BruceShilton1973 4 місяці тому +1

      Thanks for getting back to me. I did have it linked to my phone, but it didn't seem to give accurate timings. It may be me, but if you don't have the same issues, then it could be a bit of user error. It just wasn't as intuive as Google Maps, and it also crashed a few times in Swiss tunnels and gave me the start-up screen.
      I didn't know if you'd struggled at all, but it seems you may have it figured out better than me!

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  4 місяці тому

      Hi Bruce, I'm sure it's not user error and I think google maps is always the most reliable for traffic updates etc. I haven't actually used it without a GPX so I can't really say how well it avoided traffic.
      Now that you mention it it has crashed a few times on me and to get it going again I needed to remove from the cradle and press the on off button which was annoying as it happened when I needed it the most lol.

    I’m a fan of your travel I am following you on Instagram … I need your advise bro I am planning to buy R1250 gsa 2019 with 26000 miles on it is it worth buying it?? It’s costling me around 16k with extended warranty for 3 years and unlimited miles And what’s Your opinion on this bike is it good enough to ride ?? I am trying to get this in Newyork. or should I consider buying used f750gs and limit the budget please share your opinion?

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  4 місяці тому

      Hi, to be honest i don't really know the US market so i don't really know what they are going for or what spec the bike is. I think that sounds about right though, extended warranty will give peace of mind for sure. Our bike is 2023 model and has 22,000 miles on it so i don't think you need to worry about the mileage.
      Again it all depends on what you are planning to do with the bike, one thing that's good is the R1250 will hold it's value well.
