Hi Carlos, we're looking forward to welcoming you in Deia! Please get in touch at hello@charlesmarlow.com and we'd happily set up a meeting with you. Thanks for reaching out and for watching our videos.
To think that the village of Deia, once the very simple and remote refuge of Robert Graves AND Laura Riding, is now the swanky playground of the world's super-rich, a place where they can talk all day about money, property, "luxury", drink, Michelin stars and of course money, money, money.
Hello @jarabaa thank you for your comment. This is a trend that we are seeing, the most creative and explorative discover new beautiful places which inspire them to create and show the world the beauty. Slowly these places attract more and more attention. Alongside locals and foreigners new homes, hotels and restaurants are created. There are so many individual stories that weave this village together. Yes it is very different to how it was and a positive part of what we see within this are passionate people looking to preserve and conserve this beautiful coast line.
As a Mallorcan, I can confirm what that young lady says about Deià; it is a beautiful village that inspires peace and tranquility. It is a place that should be inhabited for and by the Mallorcans. As for the English, I remind you that you are immigrants, and you can't live here. If you want to, apply for a visa and then integrate with the Mallorcan community. If you are going to form a commune of only English people to drink beer all day and eat fish and chips, please stay on your own island.
well done - I like. It is another beautiful place to stay in Spain.
We're in love with it!
