I am an older lady but you'd never know it. I love this style and have for years. No one will cut my hair like that. My sister used to do hair back in the day, but she lives in another state and I never get over there. This hair cut is THE EASIEST to fix when you get up in the morning. I might take the shears to my own hair. I have done that for years too! Love love love this style.

Thanks for the great comment!!! Yes I also color it too. I use Goldwell. I use there bleach with 40 vol and I use 5rb with 10 vol. I use there topchic, which is the permanent color. I use foils and do 3 bleach to 1 5rb doing a mohawk section all the way up and then just do sides regular. I know how it is when clients don't like product, but I always try to push it for the look. I'm so glad you liked it! THANKS AGAIN!!!

Yes that would help control the curl why you blow dry it. Then make sure that you use a flat iron to pull out the hair to make it the straight look. Have fun and good luck!!!!

Thanks. Sorry about that. I LOVE the mousse from KMS california. It's called add volume. I love it because it gets on your hair strand and swells it to help with volume. I also LOVE distortion from Ice, It's a styling gum. That's what makes the style so fun because it helps piece the hair out. That's what gives it the look it has. The only reason that I haven't gone out and just "done it" is because I my hair is wavy/curly. Not sure how that will look. Thanks for the post though. You can get the Distortion (styling gum) from Peerless Beauty Supply it's made by Ice. The hairspray is called Finisher from Ice also. That's also found at Peerless Beauty Supply. The mousse is called Add Volume styling foam, it's made from KMS California. I hope that helped you!!!

I also ask my stylist to cut my hair dry, rather than wet, since my hair has a whole different texture when its wet.

Thanks!! Does your hair dry pretty straight but poofy? If it dries just poofy then a flat iron would really help. You also could use a product that helps straighten and lay the hair down better. But if your hair is way to thick and coarse it might not work. Let me know if I can help you in any way...

When you rub the distortion in your hands it is on your fingers also. I like to use my finger tips at first and then a like to kinda rub in the rest as I go. Good Luck!!!

I just got this haircut last Thursday. I absolutely LOVE it!!! out the door in no time at all. I wanted to comment on Terri Burns post. Terri my hair is really fine as well even though I have a lot of hair, I think it is all about the "right cut", and the product you use. If my hair is cut right I can get it to do ANYTHING I want with good products. you want to use products for volume.

Great style, my hair is cut exactly like this and I've done it myself for a very long time, it suits any age too. I've tried hairdressers but most are too scissor happy and don't know when to stop so the style can end up looking like a hedgehog !
