I have to admit Travis, that truck looks pretty darn good lowered. I never say that I’m more of a stock look kind of guy like it had at first but lowering it and taking off those fender flares really made the truck look nice. Nice job man.
MIke, I always enjoy your attention to detail. Great job! Have you looked into the bigger 2020 brake caliper and rotor swap that come off of the 2019 trucks?
You should only have three leafs per side so I think someone either did add a leafs or changed the leaf pack all together with a hd pack so if you change those out it will get you a little more drop sir .
Looking better each video as usual! Wheels look a lot better with it lowered, less wheel well made the difference, and I doubted your choice on the last video 🤷. ✌🏻
Give this truck the same lowering you did to the white (‘05?) Tahoe years back. Flip kit the rear, (get rid of the thin drop shackles) then add drop spindles and drop torsion keys up front. Also add some Belltech StreetPerformance shocks. You won’t be happy unless you do.
What up Travis, Do any of the parts stores loan out ABS code readers?i have a broken, rear lug stud and the ABS light came on soon after it broke . Also, can we call u Mike from now on? I think that one previous commenter is on to something changing your name to Mike.. . it works.. great content broseph!
Keep up the good work Travis i literally enjoy the attention to detail you do in every video but any chance you can send link to the mini radio antenna? Thanks
@@TWAMotorsports My truck sits all around 33inches with just 3 leaf springs in the rear I also have drop shackles 2inches and removed the blocks. The front end I also just have the drop keys and the same upper control arms you have it rides great!
Need to replace shocks on my 99 Silverado single cab. Looking for an upgrade looking into billstein and the bell tech plan on doing a 4 inch rear drop eventually what would work with that for good handling and a comfy smooth ride
@@TWAMotorsportsit’s either going to with the shock extenders and the 2 inch lowering shackles I want to level the rear with front. Also thanks will go take a look at the website any recommendations on models?
Did that truck come with rear disc brakes from the factory and do you know if there is a rear disc brakes kit with all the stuff to convert it to with the emergency parking brake for a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew cab LS Short bed
Nice video on the 4wheel drive Z71.. looking good so far.. I was never really a fan of the VHT paint.. por 15 paint will be better on them calipers..man I could hear that rain in your video.. ..
Wouldnt salvage parts or a kit/parts for a 2002/2003 Tahoe have worked? Thats what I have seen other guys do, and what I plan to do to my 2000 GMC Sierra. My kids 2002 Tahoe has dual piston calipers front and back, factory. What size is the new rotor? Same size as original? I looked on the amazon website you posted, but it didnt say. PS I plan to put 2019 silverado 4 piston calipers on the front too. Need the stoppong power hauling water trailers into the desert for our wildlife animal drinkers, and over rutted dirt trails and hills.
Does anyone know how to get ebrake/ parking brake to engage? How to repair? My parking brake has never worked. Just goes straight to the floor no resistance and does not engage any amount of braking. Is cable stretched? Shoes look fine.
This upload came at the perfect time.
Definitely helps William
Good Monday evening Travis.. I'm just getting home from work and tunning in...
Thank you Keith. Have a great evening
I personally find the sound of the rain soothing, keep up the good work.
Lol. Sometimes until it is really coming down. Thank you
Not gonna lie travis is a good teacher🤧 we all be learning allot😂
Thank you.
The truck is looking good. I like the brake upgrade, nice job.
Thank you. Now the front
I have to admit Travis, that truck looks pretty darn good lowered. I never say that I’m more of a stock look kind of guy like it had at first but lowering it and taking off those fender flares really made the truck look nice. Nice job man.
Thank you. Front coming in tonight's video
MIke, I always enjoy your attention to detail. Great job! Have you looked into the bigger 2020 brake caliper and rotor swap that come off of the 2019 trucks?
Thank you. It's Travis though lol. I have seen that upgrade and am doing a different option on the front.
You should only have three leafs per side so I think someone either did add a leafs or changed the leaf pack all together with a hd pack so if you change those out it will get you a little more drop sir .
Thank you. That's interesting
Looking better each video as usual! Wheels look a lot better with it lowered, less wheel well made the difference, and I doubted your choice on the last video 🤷. ✌🏻
Thank you. It will start to look and run better with each video hopefully
Very detailed video and parts list with link,, thanks for that 👍
Thank you

Lol. May eventually do that stuff. This will be good for now.
I did the brake up grade from 03 Tahoe to a 99 Silverado deluxe pistons and larger rotors and brakes. Work out good.
Yep. That's what this is
The truck is looking great! keep up the good work sir!
Thank you. I'm sure gonna try.

I don't think they do
The rear brakes will work on a 2000 with disk also? I’m still grinding away at my blue regular cab that your green truck inspired!
I used suburban ones on my green truck. Made a video when I did it.
Like how you list everything 🔥life saver
Thank you. Glad I could help
Im looking to do this to my truck and the 4 piston up in front.. now do you think i need to upgrade the reservoir since it will be 12 pistons total?
Not sure
Keep up the good work Travis i literally enjoy the attention to detail you do in every video but any chance you can send link to the mini radio antenna? Thanks
Thank you. Radio antenna is linked in several of my older videos
Love your videos man always love them chevy vids 🤙🏾🔥
Thank you. Now to the front next.
Nice job ur making me want another Silverado and I don't like GM Haha I'm down FL working for a couple weeks so many clean ones here no rust for sale
Pick one up while you're down there lol. Then you will be a gm fan🤣
All his videos are on GM vehicles. Minus the Tesla. Why do you watch?
Lol. He is just a fan that likes other brands. Nothing wrong with that. I am gradually bring him to the dark side.
I noticed it has a add a leaf to. Normally they only have 3 leafs + the over load. The blocks are factory to btw. 4wd came with them.
I noticed the leafs. Trying to find another option as we speak
@@TWAMotorsports just undo that center bolt that holds the leafs together and take the bottom leaf out. Might need a new center bolt..
Hi any information about big brake rotors and four piston caliper for 1990 c3500 with single rear wheel
No experience with that
The rear definitely can sit lower I believe you have an extra leaf spring my 06 crewcab did have the factory lift blocks also.
I have thought about doing that.
@@TWAMotorsports My truck sits all around 33inches with just 3 leaf springs in the rear I also have drop shackles 2inches and removed the blocks. The front end I also just have the drop keys and the same upper control arms you have it rides great!
Yeah this needs less leaves
Great video as always looking good
Thank you Daniel

Street performance
If they fit on a 99-02 version will it say that it’s not compatible on Amazon because they aren’t stock
They will fit 99-02

Have to source parts separately

Yeah this vht wasn't my favorite
Can you do until a 2008 1500
Should be able to

If you like risking it on used parts. I wanted new honestly
Looks tons better, it’s getting there. Are you eventually going to get the hood resprayed? Thanks
Thank you. I think eventually I will
@TWA Motorsports This is great man! Would this work. On a 2013 Tahoe for rear brakes?
It should
Great video; good work!
Thank you
What year are the new rotors and caliper off of? I was thinking 2007? Thanks
No. Parts listed in video description. Below the video
Great video, can’t wait to see it slammed
Not sure slammed is happening but who knows.
Good job
Thank you
I have 1999/2000 chevy silverado 1500 excab can I do the same as you have done rear
Yes
Thks@@TWAMotorsports
You're welcome
Hell yeah!
Now for the front
Does anyone know how to get ebrake/ parking brake to engage? How to repair? My parking brake has never worked. Just goes straight to the floor no resistance and does not engage any amount of braking. Is cable stretched? Shoes look fine.
Check springs and cable under drivers door
What will be the smallest rim size that will fit with those new brakes
17s
@@TWAMotorsportsthis is pretty much a 05-07 classic brake upgrade because I saw a 05 tahoe with upgraded brakes
05-07 didn't have disc brakes on the trucks

@camarofan8460 👍
So is this a 09 Tahoe rear brake set up this truck ?
Should be the same
Sounds good thanks
Can i use the power stop dual calipers?
Sure

What year do you look for
All parts linked in video description

Are you a car mechanic for a leaving because you know a lot for an average joe
No. I just play one on UA-cam lol
I enjoy the video very much but it is very long very long
It's long. Another for the front coming that will be long also
Ocd overload
Lol. Yeah. Not too bad
title misleading: Dual PISTON calipers, not dual calipers!
Probably so
WTF! Dual piston really.
Yes dual piston
2 piston calipers aren't duel calipers. Duel calipers means 2
@ Brandon Rohrer, Can you explain this better?
Ok. I get what you are saying
Some cars have multiple calipers
Duel according to Google is a contest with deadly weapons arranged between two people in order to settle a point of honor.
Is dual the correct word?
Lol
Sooooo much talk
