It will never not be funny to me that the way the team fixed dormtiabes's story, gameplay, etc is simply by removing anything blackout had any involvement in. Despite his monstrous ego on just "how much better he was than those OTHER girl- I MEAN, fandevs..." he was the sole reason why the og story fell apart lol.
I kinda love how most of the animatronics are dealt with by staring at them. Its like how its hard not to laugh during a staring contest. It feels like you're just kinda out-awkwarding them.
*clears throat* uh yeah dude y’know I WAS going to rip out your soul and free myself from hell but, this is getting really awkward so imma just leave and come back later, ok? ok.
I love how 35:40 is, while a sad and shocking moment in a way, also a reference to a very poorly thought out easier egg, where if you hang up on the phone guy, you have a chance of all your audio muting and your camera just showing a hanging dude, basically condemning you to die if you muted the phone call
I’m glad they referenced that nightmare of an Easter egg in that kind of way it’s a neat nod to a really bullshit Easter egg (that still in a sense is really funny that someone would be so mad at you for not listening that they choose to ruin your entire play through) , though story wise it’s quite sad considering the circumstance being that he kills himself as a last resort and last act of resistance towards Garvey .
I don't think it was poorly thought out? It was punishing players for skipping out on the lore. I mean it says "quiet, for you to concentrate" and honestly that's kinda funny? And fitting? You're playing as Peter's lifeline and if you hang up he hangs up too. :P
@@theflyingspaget Imo, I don’t really consider it poorly thought out, I just think it’s stupid and unfair despite the concept being pretty neat lol , it ruins the fucking gameplay experience considering how heavily it relies on noise. Sure, it’s a fun Easter egg to nolonger have the audio from him any longer but it’s stupid to me that the punishment for that kind of thing is ruining the whole game/ run for people who are playing .
Garvey went from the worst fangame purple guy to not only one of the best but also one of the most tragic, his entire motives were completely plausible, a lonely man who finally found happiness, just for some brats to almost taking it away from him, letting his hatred consume him whole and turn him into a monster.
@@noahbaker3216 garvey in the old dormitabis was a pedo.... they completely removed that in this remake and revamped him so now he's an actually good character
@@leandrofrancoquintoano9151 Because paedophilia and sexual abuse in general (and ESPECIALLY towards children) is an incredibly delicate topic, because for victims it's something that they never truly mentally recover from and often spirals into various other mental health problems. And having the topic brought up when they least expect it (like when they're playing a videogame), especially when it has some fetishistic undertones can bring those horrible memories to the forefront, which a horrible experience and might even harm their recovery. Even for people who aren't victims of sexual abuse, it's still VERY discomforting in a bad way, as it shatters your immersion as you instinctively step back and think "Woah, why the fuck did they put that in the game? That's just... vile. How did the developer(s) think that was okay?". Player immersion is something you NEVER want to break in a horror game, and this sort of thing is how your game gets an F in terms of maintaining it. TL;DR: Sexual abuse in any form is a very difficult topic to cover, especially for those who aren't victims of it themselves and/or don't have experience in the field of psychology, and as such is best off never being incorporated into any sort of media without a group of people who have are victims of it and people with qualifications in relevant fields to provide insight and advice to make sure your work is not offensive or misleading about the subject, as is the case with traumatic and/or disturbing topics in general.
I used to love Dormitabis as a lil kid because I thought the animatronics were terrifying. I knew nothing about the story. You can assume how I felt learning the story years later.
I loved the original for the disturbing animatronics and environment. But even then when listening to the tapes they sounded weird and cringe, even back then. They we're made even worse now that I know what the original story was lol.
Hey, Im one of the original victims of Blackout and after watching this I can really say that this is a fantastic remaster of a fangame that had a lot of potential. From the aesthetic and all the way down, it's cool to see it get the recognition it deserves and no longer be associated with Nicchi. I left a comment on the UA-camr HazyGray's video about how I was one of the original victim's that Nicchi Groomed and it has surprised me that my interactions with him are the ones getting the most recognition compared to the others he has groomed. Needless to say, I am very glad this remaster is no longer associated with him and it is being redone in a better way than it has before. Great analysis video, keep up the good work.
I hope you're doing better, the Blackout situation was absolutely vile... But hey, also glad you enjoyed the video, hopefully the new game can maybe mean Blackout is finally forgotten and you and the other victims can rest assured he doesn't have the audience to do that shit again.
@@ItsKynn Glad to hear that you enjoyed my feedback! Again, great work for what youre putting out here and giving this game good attention. Hope the best for you.
I’ve said this once and I will say this again. The old Dormatabis should never be forgotten, I am a firm believer that it needs to stay as a monument to what terrible things people can do in a community. It’s a disgusting, foul and sickening mark on this community. But it needs to stay. But I’m glad the remake was able to turn that filth into a legitimately good project. My praise to the developers.
For how big of a peice of human shit the dev was, the original dormitabis wasn’t all that bad, everything about it was unsettling and gorey the world was distorted and warped into a hellhole and it did a good job at making the animatronics scary by making them look lifeless.
This is a much more terrifying idea of Garvey: the old one was basically a really, really gross Freddy Krueger, and this one is terrifying because he genuinely believes he was doing the right thing by killing "problem" kids.
Garvey: 𝙂𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙣 𝙖 𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙝𝙚'𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙚'𝙨 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙅𝙝𝙤𝙣 Kynn: Door heavy huh? Real door heavy aren't you? Is that your favourite door?
I love how garvey went from a degenerate crybaby joker wannabe who was bullied and got mad to a genuinely melancholic and seemingly kind man whos mind slowly corrupted and turned into a monster because of all his misery
59:55 I think the devs were trying to give the implication that Garvey got better at killing after the first one by letting you just hold the kids there
@@Kakomonour ...hey, How are you? wanna follow me to that abslotuly not scary and not secret room for a sharp debate about that? of course, don't take to the chest, making a mess is not something i would want.
@@MarcyTheKindaCoolWizardAND WITHOUT woobifying his actions either and treating him as if he’s more of a victim than the children he killed ! They did it !
With a remaster of Insanity on it's way and an entire ARG hidden away in the game, I think it's safe to say that this "series" of sorts is in GREAT hands. This turns a fangame that I feel a majority of people had good memories with but looked back at with frustration, disappointment, and disgust years later, into the very thing that they THOUGHT they played in 2018. I can't wait to see what the future holds.
The improvement of Garvey's VA between the original and the remaster is absolutely phenomenal, props to him for his performance here As for the video, great work! It's interesting to see the perspective of someone that has nostalgia for the original and knows it's heavy flaws, yet can still separate the remaster from it and love it as it's own thing. I appreciate the subtitles for Peter and Garvey as well, especially the color coding, love details like that
Honestly, my only gripe with the remaster is that the jumpscares are too dark and zoomed in. Couldn't even see who killed me at first glance. Hope they do something about it.
Agree to disagree, I feel the jumpscares are dark enough to be terrifying, but you can still tell what one of these murder robots are screaming in your face.
this is the video that we've all been waiting for. i've just finished watching it all the way through and want to thank you on behalf of expelled studios and the dormitabis remastered fanbase. i'm not on the dev team but am in contact with some members and they are happy to see that someone finally made a video from this perspective. too many videos about dormitabis and dormitabis remastered talk about nicchi and the "self insert" thing, and i thought that the way you put it in the video without focusing on it was awesome. i love the editing and especially appreciate the captions for night 10. you showcased everything very well, and explained the mechanics really well. also holy shit the sparky appearance??? me, expelled, and sfd28 (cardboard theater artist) literally just FREAKED OUT IN VC bc of that LMAO fr thank you for this video. whoever made the drawing for the garvey ballin thing also deserves credit that drawing is fucking amazing. i really hope that this video gets the attention that it deserves. kynn, i can assure you that you are an absolute legend in the dormitabis remastered community. - joe
Thank you! I made the Garvey Balling art myself! You have no clue how amazing it feels to know the devs watched and enjoyed the video. Amazing game, I'm hyped about what projects you'll do in the future.
@@ItsKynn that's sick! we love to see fanart and everything of the sort. from what i know, there's currently a pretty big update in the works, and expelled is beginning development of an insanity remake.
who knew some nightmare i had accidentally help create would be made into a better and well made game removing that story. i finally feel free from the abusive comments Nicchi told me when i was supporting them with the game. thank you, devs, thank you so much for this, this gift will stay in my heart as a symbol of freedom for me.
Ignoring the og game Garvey is actually a pretty sad villain. He cared so much about john that when he got hurt Garvey didn't think rationally about what to do and ended up ending the life of so many young people to the point that he started hating it and tried to set them free but knew if he died doing so, he would not come back the same. He actually regreted what he did unlike Afton but after getting spring-locked he became just like him. Honestly one of the best written villains I've seen. Again that's if you ignore the og.
Personally I think the remastered is better Garvey is someone you can actually feel bad for unlike the original where you seriously couldn't take him seriously lol
@@pucebiscuit7616 exactly. That is what I mean. He is sympathetic and also just has a great design whether it is his cardboard theater appearance or his springtrap form he has a great design.
Dormitabis was a game that i also loved even back then. seeing the remaster now without all the bad and controversial stuff makes me quite happy, the game, new models, characters, mechanics, and especially the story are amazing. especially how they rewrote Garvey into more so the crazed guy he was in the first game into someone who was more so driven to murder out of a sense of revenge in a way. loved the video, there's only 1 small complain from me which was the audio. i needed to have my PC on 70/100 audio to heard things properly. but other then that, it was solid. also can we get the 'Garvey ballin' clip as a separate upload please?
Thank you for the support! I'll be sure to make future videos louder! The clip on its own is avaiable on my twitter! twitter.com/kynn_art/status/1699551579169308850
31:19 the voice acting here is amazing. It reminds me of vita carnis how in one of the videos they where able to pretty much capture that terrifying sound of someone crying after finding the corpse of their child, the real feeling you get from listening to very serious 911 calls. This voice acting really ensnares that feeling of listening to someone cry after seeing something horrific like a kid they cared about getting his head crushed in an animatronic
I really appreciate how you put every character mechanics not only explaining it but shows how it actually works in practice, this is what's been missing in a lot of fnaf fan game review I've seen nowadays things like this is helping for people to get used to the mechanics before diving to the game by themselves. Also fritz looks like postal dude in the cardboard theatre.
Yes, that was actually the Artist’s intention. When i asked why the hell he looked like Postal dude during one of his CT Streams in the dev server, he just said that he wanted to make him look like that, which i was all for personally.
So not only do we get the absolute worst version of Purple Guy reworked into a well-intentioned extremist with sanity slippage (and some seriously good voice acting), but The Box being full of newspaper clippings that explain what happened was just such a satisfying way of bringing the plot into focus And hearing Garvy's break down with footage of FNaF 4's minigames hit hard :(
I think making a villain a pedo can be done right if you handle it with tact and make the person absloutely, objectively a villain. OG Dormitabis didn't do it with tact at all.
I think it can work if two requirements are met. 1. It has a purpose aside from shock value. 2. It is portrayed as something disgusting with no merit and there is proper comeuppance for the villain, and the victim is treated with the respect and kindness they deserve. But just because it can work doesn't mean it will unless the story teller is extremely good at what they do! The writer for the 2018 version of the game... The less said about them and their writing travesty the better.
I genuinely love how remastereds story not only fixes the original games story, but quite honestly gives what i think is a satisfying take on the original story from fnaf 1-4. It just feels right. Godspeed to this games team for having a turd yet coming out of it with a diamond.
Fun fact there is supposedly a secret ending that I haven't seen, but Expelled has talked about it on their Gamejolt and I am pretty sure it does exist. It involves looking at certain places in the offices at certain times during certain nights but idk. Either way awesome video.
it does exist, it's called "your ending" and i'm not sure if anyone really knows how to get it yet, or if it's even still in the game. what ended up happening was that someone found out about it and expelled felt pressured to show it off, and then got a ton of negative feedback. he hasn't said anything about it since. it's possible that he even removed it in an update and didn't say anything. because the status of the third ending is contested, i might as well share what i know about it. you're supposed to find 3 specific easter eggs, click on all of the posters on the cams on a specific night, and then type "BITE" at 11 am on night 11. it then takes you to a garvey-esque boss fight where you have to face off against a character called "the bite". you can't use the computer and have to rely completely on sound. it's also very dark. when you beat the boss fight, it shows an alternative cardboard theater cutscene where fritz smith replaces garvey and you watch a carboard theater re-enactment of the bite of 83, followed by a jumpscare from fredbear. my own interpretation of the ending is pretty simple, though i don't actually know the lore that well. it's hinting at the fact that john, who you play as, is crying child. the fredbear jumpscare combined with the name "your ending" is basically john re-living what happened that day. as for fritz, it's possibly hinting at the fact that fritz was the night guard at the time and witnessed it happening without doing anything. the credits roll and the text is green instead of red. i have a VERY low quality recording of this ending uploaded to my channel, and had a better recording of it somewhere but i can't find it. if i find it, i will try to upload it. again, it's very possible that there are more steps to getting the ending than i know. it's also possible that it was removed, or never really existed in the first place.
@@havocjoe John is indeed the crying child, as revealed in one of Garvey's tapes where he is visibly distressed from the fact that John got bitten by Fredbear, which would become Garvey's motive for murder - revenge
57:55 timestamp for anyone who wants to hear Garvey be a baller memes aside, this is incredible, they made the game amazing and the new story is just perfect
I can believe how much i agree, i grew up with dawko playing dormitabis, loving the visuals and mechanics but not being aware of the story, im glad people are trying to fix it and make it better
Dude same He censored everything (at least I think so), which probably was for the better of 14 y/o me. I remember especially the tape about the girl. For years I thought it was that she struggled and screamed while getting murdered, not sa I'm glad this remake exists, it's way better! It made Garvey into an actually good villain (y'know, instead of the disgusting degenerate in the og)
When I was younger I didn’t really understand the story the best. But I adored the style and design of the game. So this type of remaster gives me a peace of mind that I can still enjoy this game without the contact to the creator. It’s honestly a breath of fresh air to see this game be able to be seen positively once again. Even if it’s only the remaster.
@@noahbaker3216I feel like it's a principle thing. Obviously it's not like you're *talking* to the man behind Garvey, but because of the shock factor of the original, and just the association of the character with an actual pedophile, people just prefer this game.
58:04 I was listening to this video while I was playing Mario Kart and this part caught me off guard so hard that I drove right into the out of bounds and went from 1st to 12th. Never have I laughed more to losing a game haha
When looking back at Dormitabis, I found a good game that was plagued by the twisted thoughts of one individual. This remaster helped scrub those away and showed what we could have gotten initially. Kudos to the creators for making this remaster. I am also now just seeing this but Cardboard Fritz was slain in the stock family guy death pose
IT'S REAL, IT'S FINISHED, AND IT'S GOOD??? I'm glad I exist in the timeline where the original creator gets nothing but flak and then some, while some talented and passionate people banded together and stuffed this game through a rock tumbler; grinding and sanding away all that it was, making it something smoothed and polished. The diamond in the rough, a f@#$ing masterpiece, that can finally leave the original as nothing more than leftover dust and powder in the tumbler, ready to be blown into the wind to eternally drift, forgotten forevermore. P.S. Subscribed. Take your time making awesome stuff, but don't stop being awesome. You're going places mate! 👍
The thing is, I never looked at anything related to the old media. I’ve no clue what the old tapes were and I have no interest in finding out. So this to me will be the only version of the game. Love what they did with Garvey, makes a great rendition this time.
1:00:06 hmmmm, nah, I feel like it is cool how a gameplay feauture can tell a little story. Like, the victim didn't just let him drag her away, she fought back hard, but eventually died. I think it should be made easier, but not just hold space bar
20:47 that legit sounds almost exactly how *I* would say that phrase; even the "ugh" is damn believable. Proof to how much better the voice acting got. Glad the game got what it should've, instead of.....what it was before.
Never realized the remake/fixed version was out This was a really needed fix, the story is also interesting to think about. I also like that Purple Guy no longer sounds like as Uhyeah put it "a Joker reject"
I am very strict with what I hit the like on and what I subscribe to, and seeing that this channel somehow only has 3k despite such high quality is just wrong. 💯% worth the sub
The funny thing about the old dormitabis is that if you look past the story, models and creator, I’m sure it would pass off as an alright 2018 fangame I also have a lot of respect for you about how you handled the original fangame in this video. I do think saying the old version is “the WORST FNaF Fangame” is a little extreme (I’d opt for something like controversial) but I like how you described the original and didn’t immediately start shitting all over the original because of Nicchi like most fnaf reviewers do nowadays, who forget that it was put through development hell and that Nicchi wasn’t the sole creator of dormitabis, but was rather the publisher and story writer so you having a more mediocre/middle of the road of opinion on the original to me is a breath of fresh air due to all the drama bait fnaf reviewers who don’t care about what their reviewing but only want to start drama or reignite old drama.
When i was watching a fnaf youtuber i liked i fell in love with the game and was amazed with the vibe, that is probably because i didnt play it myself.
@@DjDeadpig I think the original art style was rather irreplaceable, even if it was a bit rough around the edges (literally). Then again I was also a sucker for the look of TRTF 3 and most "90's CG" aesthetics in general.
Gravey constantly saying John reminds me a lot of Garfield from the hit animated series Fist of the Borf Star, which you should watch this nano-second if you haven't already. It will enrich your soul. This is a funny coincidence since he has the same ai voice Dave Miller has.
This. This is what I wanted to do the remaster for. When I was younger and I took the first game as a VA gig I was very young, and really thought I was making something big, and looking back I couldn’t be further from correct on that. Yet everywhere I went I would still see people that liked the original, that enjoyed my ass performance somehow and I could never understand it. I wanted to reprise my role because I wanted to give the people that liked the original something they can be proud to like, give them the great game they thought they already had, and it makes me so unbelievably happy that I managed to do it along with the rest of the team. I want to say that it was my absolute pleasure to come back and do this character right, and it was such a pleasure to record those lines for you :) If you ever need anyone to do silly voices in any other videos, Garvey or not, I would be more than happy to lol Someday I hope to write a completely new Dormitabis and make a whole different game to see what could have been with a version of the character I’ve been imagining for quite a while now (a version of him that I definitely took inspiration from for this new rendition) but until then I’m glad I was able to give everyone a helluva performance. Amazing video Kynn! (And I definitely pronounced it wrong on purpose in the tape hyuck hyuck)
sparky i think i can speak for everyone when i say that your performance really ties everything together. even in the original, in my opinion, you were able to portray garvey as a sick and fucked up character, and the people who think it's too "edgy" are often times the same people who misinterpret garvey's character as a self insert of nicchi. great work, and the voice lines you provided for this video were a pleasant surprise.
This remaster was something I was eagerly anticipating and really hopeful for because A, it would mean Dormitabis would actually be good and B, it would work as an example of the community banding together and making something great out of a problematic game whether it’s because of the creator, the game, or a mix of both. True question is when is Post Shift 2 Remaster gonna get made
The thing that i like a lot from remastered is that they respect that fnaf 3 fire ending is a important event, even fnaf lore kinda forget that fnaf 3 ending is important for springtrap character and the guard ) imagine a dormitabis where we controll micheal and the phone guy is henry after he commits su1c1d3 after charlie death by willian hands )
FNAF lore didn't "forget", the FNAF3 ending just isn't that important anymore. Everything we originally thought it accomplished was done by FNAF6 instead, with the possible exception of freeing the MCI souls... and we're not even 100% sure it did that. It's an event that fandom keeps going back to because it's just easier to work with than utilizing FNAF6, which doesn't leave much wiggle room for fan-content.
@@damkylan3 but in theory springtrap was trapped down there in the burned atraction forerver, and happiest day turned into a totally mess different thing after fnaf 3 lol

The original Garvey was just straight up psychotic from the start. No reason why he was fucked up, he just was (also kinda cringe). This one though, I almost shed a tear from how beautiful they wrote this. And the voice acting is just mwah chefs kiss, they did a really good job
Amazing video this is very well made i'm so glad someone made this type of video explaining everything i'm glad you added sub titles also mainly for night 10, this is the best part of the video 57:56 who knew Sparky would actually say something in this. the balling art my god is amazing and well made
Also in regards to the whole "source material thing" you didn't need to do that whole schtick. We all know it's weird and honestly, I think it would've been better if you just said a simple "yeah let's just forget about the original" and went on with the video.
i wasnt too involved in the plot but i gasped at the reveal at the end. the reveal that peter and john were siblings made their interactions just. idk hit a lot more. especially when peter said "youre a day behind, i dont know if im the peter you used to know". i cannot imagine the absolute guilt he must feel as an older brother seeing his younger brother go through the same thing he is
Having Springtrap as a final boss goes unbelievably hard. It's like the Burntrap boss from Security Breach but actually engaging, scary, and emotional. Having the Purple Guy be a sympathetic villain who went from a good man to a monster just adds onto how somber yet intense the fight against Springtrap feels. Incredible remaster that does the original justice without including all the awful shit that shouldn't have been there in the first place.
I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one whose favorite fangame was Dormitabis back in the day. I was a young and clueless child back then who didn’t. understand the truly horrifying implications behind the story. Nonetlehess I am absolutely glad I can say this remaster is one of my favorites now. Your specific phrasing, “Maybe I can finally have the Dormitabis I thought I experienced as a child” Is exactly what I thought when I saw the news of the remake. I am so, so happy that it really did end up being just that. Three cheers to the remaster!

Amazing video! Glad to see people enjoying this game too. By the way, I'd like to contact you about the last part of the video, the "ARG" there might be some things you'd like to know before downloading anything
This is a fantastic underrated video. I really like Dormitabis, too, (the remastered to be clear) and I'm glad that someone did a whole video about it. You obviously worked really hard on this video and I believe it deserves way more attention that it has right now. Edit: Jesus 3 days had passed and it went from 800 views to 60k.
I love this remake To chicas tilting of her head sometimes looking like she has 1 big eye, to night 12s unlock minigame being ripping garveys head off from poking his nose. And night 12 looks amazing and being a complete different remake just for fun. What a amazing redemption
I feel like having you spam the space bar for the first girl you stuff into chica, then having to just hold it, means that Garvey hit the gym to up his strength.
59:01 your quote about this had a double meaning to me. We all know what happened to her in the original game so it’s hard to have to play that level again
Very very cool video! I also loved dormitabis for it's visuals and never actually payed attention to the lore. I'm glad it got a remaster and it is looking great! I'm sad not a lot of people are covering this remaster though.
Wow, I can't believe somebody else remembered Insanity. The only two things that marked me were the designs (that were legit nightmare-fuel), and the fact the game was so hard, it was literally unplayable!
i actually liked the original, until i heard about the creator. i liked the gameplay and character designs. i even made a plush of soulcage. once i get some fabric, im gonna update my plush and add more holes like the remastered model
im so happy that there is a remasterd, this game always stood out to me when i was younger but the ... stuff hit too close to home :( im happy actual normal people are rewriting and fixing the project, it makes me glad to see.
I really like the concept of burning the animatronics causing damage to their souls. Like it was an improper and slapdash fix and while the intent was to free the souls, they ended up in even more pain than ever before.
Game's kind of dark, though. Where's the brightness settings? But it looks like they change some of the mechanics so that some characters overlap each other so you can get rid of multiple at a time for easier management, provide an interesting challenge, or make sense
The original Dormitabis used to be my favourite fangame back when I only really cared about things like the animatronic designs and gameplay mechanics. I remained very blissfully unaware of the truth behind its themes and development. Hearing that this remake is so fantastically made and improves on so much is super refreshing and pleasing to hear.
When you revealed how to get Night 12, I thought “man thats a lot better than last time but I really miss the original way of doing it!” And then HE SHOWED UP AND I WAS ESTATIC, BABY!
I saw this game by a youtuber, during his 3 livestreams of the game i always got a wierd feeling about its desings, tought the story was very "Cringy" (i was in early puberty) but otherwise i tought the desings, especially the more "Fleshy" ones were cool, since i always like spring trap. The thing is, about the mechanics and the designs, the guy who was playing was very enterning (i mean i watched 6 hours of streams without realising it) and he made it so entertaining and fun that i basically ignored all the flaws and whatnot, especially since yknow, i was very easily influenced by people who i liked to watch at that time. Now about the story, he wasnt very good with english and i was even worse, i knew a thing or two but never tought much of it, when i heard about the things involving the P word i was like: "thats wierd... But considering the child murdering nature of Fnaf, i guess thats a believeable thing for Purple guy" I still feel that way a bit, as a spin on the story and making his death all more satisfying only know that i know what the creator did and said... Well now i know the nature of it and of course its disgusting as fuck, and truly the game hasnt aged well, i guess that i only liked it because the youtuber made it so fun, and not because it was good Is there a point to this? No, i just wanted to share a story
I seriously cannot stress enough and can’t believe that nobody has said anything; I’m pretty sure this takes place after Dayshift at Freddy’s 3, and I only believe this because the canon name for the character you play as is John, and the phone guy mentions his name being Peter, which is one of characters in Dayshift at Freddy’s.
Love the video and now I almost wanna play the game but I gotta say, a direct warning about suicide would've been much appreciated. The beginning warning of "adult themes" doesn't cut it because it's not just talking about it, but hearing someone taking about committing it and hearing it. This is also a trigger warning for anyone who might need it, it happens during the night 9 phone call. Skip to 35:50 if you want to avoid it.
That is fair. I thought that since Sister Location also has a scene with suicide it didn't really need a proper warning, but I can see I was wrong! Sorry for any issue, I added the trigger warning to the pinned comment!

OG Dormitabis didn't do it with tact at all.

@@justsomeguy8149 either a coincidence or somehow scott got inspired by that concept
This remaster was something I was eagerly anticipating and really hopeful for because A, it would mean Dormitabis would actually be good and B, it would work as an example of the community banding together and making something great out of a problematic game whether it’s because of the creator, the game, or a mix of both.
True question is when is Post Shift 2 Remaster gonna get made
Wow, pre-murders Garvey is actually really likable. He's so honest and comes across as pure-hearted. At least just for a little bit.
@@damkylan3 so it forgot the fnaf 3 ending?
@@The_Dumb_1_ He played himself 😂
I am so glad someone remastered this fangame and removed all that stuff from the original, it used to be my favorite fangame before I found out about the original storyline and creator. thank you for this great analysis!
Just found you today, I LOVE (what I assume is) your oc, your voice is very calming and friendly.
Your editing is very well done and fluent to the point where I couldn't tell if some things were in-game or added by you.
Safe to say earned yourself a sub, I hope your channel grows much larger.
The original Garvey was just straight up psychotic from the start. No reason why he was fucked up, he just was (also kinda cringe). This one though, I almost shed a tear from how beautiful they wrote this. And the voice acting is just
mwah
chefs kiss, they did a really good job
25:23 That was a HORRIFYINGLY ACCURATE Matpat impression. It would be impressive if it didn't genuinely startle me so much
Amazing video this is very well made i'm so glad someone made this type of video explaining everything i'm glad you added sub titles also mainly for night 10, this is the best part of the video 57:56 who knew Sparky would actually say something in this.
the balling art my god is amazing and well made
Remastered Garvey is 100% ballin'
Dude this video is AWESOME! I love the way you compiled the tapes, made it so much more emotional.
Kinda made me feel a little pity for Garvey.
Old Garvey/ Blackout Garvey: pedo, not giga chad, not balling
New Garvey/ remastered Garvey: not pedo, is a giga chad, absolutely ballin
I hope you make more content ! Your personality and editing is top tier and genuinely make it even more of an enjoyable experience to watch. Hope you keep up the amazing work you’ve killing it!🔥

**Tires to go to night 12**
Amireal: And I took that personally
I never heard of this fangame before but this is really interesting, I wanna check it out eventually
Yo, what’s up bro.
Hello bro
i recognise you..
Dormitabis remastered? More like Dormitabis *puts on sun glasses* Redeemed….ok I’ll see myself out for that joke.
This is better
i may be dumb, but whats the joke? i get redeemed because the bad stuff is gone, but how is it a joke exactly?
@@H3L1X4X1S oh storycrafter, long ago there was a show that would start with a crime, then a man put on his sunglasses and the title would being with a loud “YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH”it was a old meme but a good one
@@therandomartist3201 no I get that, I just mean how is the Redeemed part a joke
@@H3L1X4X1S cause instead of remaster or remake it’s redeemed in many eyes of the community, while the old one will forever be a stain on the fandom along with the creator, the new one redeems the whole game and make it so people can enjoy the game without the horrid bitter aftertaste knowing a predator and necrophiliac made it.
Hearing Garvey's VA meme around is honestly so fun lmao
When I was watching uhyeahs video on dormitabis I learned that the main characters name is John and the phone guys name is Peter and I thought Peter griffin telling John arbuckal how to survive Havoc Freddy, and I shall call this parody game, Doormat abyss
I mean the villain's name is suspiciously close to being "Garfield".
I have just found your content and based off your video it’s amazing.
The fact you added your own twists and style to it instead of just a video based essay(like the glitching to the first Tapes section and the ‘THIS IS COURT AND I’M F*CKING BALLING’ with the main VA is amazing.
Plus the fact you knew the history of the game but didn’t let that impact your thoughts on the game to much but let us be informed about the history of the shadow the original creator and game left.
So far; what I’ve seen is your video is your court, and you… are right and proper balling.
Might I mention that I noticed that when Fritz gets bodied, he takes the stock Family Guy death pose?
Amazing video! Glad to see people enjoying this game too. By the way, I'd like to contact you about the last part of the video, the "ARG" there might be some things you'd like to know before downloading anything
Or just tell them to not play… as anything involving Murray should be forgotten.
I love this remake
To chicas tilting of her head sometimes looking like she has 1 big eye, to night 12s unlock minigame being ripping garveys head off from poking his nose. And night 12 looks amazing and being a complete different remake just for fun. What a amazing redemption
Umm actually, it's AmIreal ☝️🤓
That “I’m fucking balling” gave me mad ultrakill Gabriel vibes especially because of macros videos on it
I feel like having you spam the space bar for the first girl you stuff into chica, then having to just hold it, means that Garvey hit the gym to up his strength.
I LOVE how dynamic your character is, it's teeming with personality and so colorful and cute :333
Wow, I can't believe somebody else remembered Insanity. The only two things that marked me were the designs (that were legit nightmare-fuel), and the fact the game was so hard, it was literally unplayable!
If recomend insanity, just play the first 5 nights for the lore, night 6 and 7 can go to hell
GARVEY BALLIN???
YOU BET HIS PURPLE ASS HE IS BALLIN !!!
i actually liked the original, until i heard about the creator. i liked the gameplay and character designs. i even made a plush of soulcage. once i get some fabric, im gonna update my plush and add more holes like the remastered model
The best improvement has to be the tapes. Not just the story changes, but also listening to Garvey slowly break down.
im so happy that there is a remasterd, this game always stood out to me when i was younger but the ... stuff hit too close to home :( im happy actual normal people are rewriting and fixing the project, it makes me glad to see.
this video is really damn good... ticked all the boxes i wanted from a one hour long fnaf video, especially 1:00:53 🙏🙏
you can tell they took some inspiration from the day shift at freddy's storyline, just some small things
they didn't
“This isn’t purgatory, this is the court and I’m FUCKING BALLING” -Purple Guy, 2023
I really like the concept of burning the animatronics causing damage to their souls. Like it was an improper and slapdash fix and while the intent was to free the souls, they ended up in even more pain than ever before.
FRITZ WAS DOING THE FAMILY GUY DEATH POSE I CANT JWBDHDJFBFH
Game's kind of dark, though. Where's the brightness settings? But it looks like they change some of the mechanics so that some characters overlap each other so you can get rid of multiple at a time for easier management, provide an interesting challenge, or make sense
this takes the cake for the funniest comment
Man what a video! The pacing through out was good and the editing was great. Really amazing of you.
I love how when Cakebear is just staring at you, the number of boops just continues to skyrocket
19:25 Well at the very least I don't have to deal with the password typing shenanigans again with Golden Call's role in making that excruciating.
When you revealed how to get Night 12, I thought “man thats a lot better than last time but I really miss the original way of doing it!”
And then HE SHOWED UP AND I WAS ESTATIC, BABY!
Now about the story, he wasnt very good with english and i was even worse, i knew a thing or two but never tought much of it, when i heard about the things involving the P word i was like:
"thats wierd... But considering the child murdering nature of Fnaf, i guess thats a believeable thing for Purple guy"
I still feel that way a bit, as a spin on the story and making his death all more satisfying only know that i know what the creator did and said... Well now i know the nature of it and of course its disgusting as fuck, and truly the game hasnt aged well, i guess that i only liked it because the youtuber made it so fun, and not because it was good
Is there a point to this? No, i just wanted to share a story
I seriously cannot stress enough and can’t believe that nobody has said anything; I’m pretty sure this takes place after Dayshift at Freddy’s 3, and I only believe this because the canon name for the character you play as is John, and the phone guy mentions his name being Peter, which is one of characters in Dayshift at Freddy’s.
On top of that; John burns down the place. With Davetrap (Springtrap) in it, which is also why I believe that.
@@ItsKynn I can see that, it's just that this feels a lot more real and personal than the SL scene. Thanks for adding it to the pinned comment 😁 overall I really enjoyed the video!

...WHAT THE HELL, THE NIGHT GUARD IS DOING THE PETER GRIFFIN DEATH POSE-
Man, not only that Dormitabis Remastered is just gold, it also includes stuff like this. Not to mention Garvey's VA being based for doing that court balling clip. Good stuff.
