1:06 the reason why nobody knocked FNaF for doing this is because the games were actually good. Each one held a similar formula while also being different enough to stand on it's own. Scott didn't rush his development. They were only released so early because he happened to finish them that early.
Each Banban game is, like, 2 hour of boring shlock because the Euphoric Brothers chose to make the games stretch as agonizingly thin as possible instead of improving the experience because they didn't want to be refunded. FNaF bumped out fairly solid games with complete experiences fairly quickly while BanBan pumps out a game the drags longer and longer with each release
I feel like this is less true for FNAF 2 since there are 11 animatronics and 9 of them act the exact same. The vibes and atmosphere were spot on, but the gameplay was mangled imo (pun intended)
@HabitsRabbits true. But it was still pretty hype when it came out. And even as one of the worst of the clickteam games, it's still decent enough to be worth its price.
My point was that the comparison of Banban and FNaF's complaints over their release schedules is odd. One was released early because the games were finished early, despite Scott's initial estimates having them release much later. People didn't complain because they were solid games, even if some weren't as good in retrospect
Banban provides a worse, more boring, and more dragged out experience each time, making none of the games worth your time or your money

@@mechamanw668 Very true. I don't think people give Scott enough credit for how cheap the classic games were. Even if FNAF 2 had the strategic complexity of a cardboard box gameplay wise, it still has a ton of little quirks and Easter eggs to have fun with. I've got loads of fond memories discussing the teasers with my friends back in first grade!
Garden of Banban really just feels like it's trying to do FNAF without any of the heart the games had. It's kind of sad, but I don't expect people will be talking about it for very long.

I heard that Emil Macko wasn’t even planning to make a game using Candy the Cat until he was stolen by Tyler, and Emil wanted to do the character justice. Five nights at Candy’s wouldn’t exist without Fnaf 3
I watched a video talking about the FNAC timeline and I remember the video mentioning this, that he made the game because of fears of people stealing the character, Minaxa made the video.

Slight correction, I do believe that FNAF 3 (fanmade) was made before the actual FNAF 3.
I am not saying that justifies calling it that, but it's still slightly better than calling it after a game that already existed
Fun fact, at the time, Candy wasn't well known yet. There was even a hoax about "leaked FNAF 3 pictures," which were mostly Emil Macko renders along with other pictures from other sources.
Also, how i remember, name Sugar was also given to him by fans, when everyone thought he will be in FNaF 3, and Tyler just used this name, maybe because also belived in these hoaxes(c'mon he was 13-14 when he created first TRTF).

Also why I am now all of a sudden as I am literally writing this comment, recalling an Emil style render of an animatronic alligator that was 100% not Monty because the render was a darker green and had smaller eyes with no glasses, the snoot was also wider.

@@Monochromiaa There's an upcoming one that actually seems pretty good, but we won't know if it's an original idea with a good storyline until it actually drops. Given this man's horrible, and I mean HORRIBLE track record it's hard to imagine he made a turnaround though (It wasn't touched on very much in this video, but he is basically THE copycat and bad writer who has done some extremely questionable things behind closed doors but I can't remember the specifics. Minaxa has a good video on the whole franchise and Tyler that explains everything)

@@GoldenSavor I have yet to see anything related to his newer game, but I will say that it is possible he has improved, after all we all have to start somewhere, and while his start may not have the best it is possible for people's skills to improve and move towards original content (for example, Toby Fox started out making rom hacks and is now a well established Indie dev who has even done work for the Pokemon franchise)

The reason people give Banban shit for its fast release dates is because unlike FNAF, in which you can clearly see Scott's passion and hard work in each game, which are all solid entries, Banban is just soulless and low-effort garbage all the way and never shows any signs of improvement.
The idea that banban never shows any type of improvement is just objectively false. I don’t care how much you hate the games, you cannot think they haven’t improved in at least a trivial manner unless you literally haven’t seen any of the games beyond what angry commenters are saying about them.

Ironically that's one thing I actually like about Ban Ban. It feels like a game made in school as part of a group project.

The funny thing is that this isn't the only FNAF fan game that is illegal. There was a mobile game called FNAF 4 before the actual FNAF 4 came out that was actually illegal for several reasons. It was a terrible platformer trying to pass itself off as the real FNAF 4, with title art being a Gmod picture with Pinkie Pie and TF2's Sniper in it. This thing has been lost to time sadly, but it's weird to even know that it happened.

The dev is actually still working on the series but he's rebooting it as it's own IP called The Road That Falls (Yes it uses the same TRTF abbreviation the old games used). Not sure how the game is coming along but given the other titles in the series I expect it will be utterly insane if it ever launches.

Actually I'm not too sure. Either they took the source code from another fnaf game, decided to use ai ONLY for the custom night for some reason, or manually scripted every level of difficulty per animatronic 🤷

B: FNAF was *very* much criticized for it's rapid releases early on. And in general, there was a lot of contra to FNAFs popularity.
"Cheap jumpscare simulator", was one of the most frequent descriptions, going as far as even denying it the status as a horror game.
1:01 easy, the fnaf games were good quality and had lots of longevity in the way of lore and stuff, plus with custom nights had good replayability as well as them not pretending to be anything other than low budget, simple games
Ban ban doesn’t do any of these even slightly and each game is significantly shorter than even the shortest fnaf game despite their popularity

YOu could beat all of them (including SL) in less than one hour and their gameplay is pretty much the same so no replayability
@@atanaZion First, fnaf is based around Its lore, not gameplay. Second, each game has unique mechanics. Fnaf 1 had cameras and doors, fnaf 2 had the Freddy mask which when you used It you couldn't watch the cameras, fnaf 3 had audio lure, vent doors, phantoms and system errors, fnaf 4 had a completely different gameplay than all the other games, fnaf 5 was different each night, fnaf 6 had the tycoon gameplay and tasks progress instead of hours; and that's just the core gameplay mechanics of each game.
Sure, If you play them enough, you'll learn their patterns, but that's just every single game in existence.
The TRTF novel is something else, it's more of a drug trip than LSD Dream Simulator

Well there is one big difference in fnaf releasing 4 games in a year and banban releasing 5 in a year is that fnaf was a 2d game that can be created much faster than a 3d game (also Scott didn’t just take stuff from the unreal asset store)

I think the incest thing in Tyler’s apology was due to the fact that he claimed his Ex Girlfriend (who he based Kitty Fazcat on) was his sister. I have no evidence to say if it’s true or not because I only heard about this in another video and the person in that video didn’t go further from just stating it
While K was active back then unfortunately I could never play the games bc I had no computer so I could not know how the fnaf fan game scene was back then. I only watched playthroughs, the smike type of channels, and of course game theory.
the reason people dont like garten of banban is because its a lazy cash grab meant to attract kids and be as profitable as possible. people didn't mind fnaf releasing so quickly back then because of the amount of hype surrounding it and how good quality the games were despite the development time.
