Just got me a 2020 Accord EX and I appreciate this video. Thank you sir!
I'm Tetsuya Yasui, who lives in Japan.
I succeeded in replacing the rear speaker with the Accord 10 Gen.
There is not much information in Japan and I thought I couldn't do it,
I was able to achieve it brilliantly with reference to your UA-cam.
Much obliged. Thank you very much.
Great video sir. Just about to start my build.
Video on favorite mods so far would be awesome!
Will probably do one of these soon. Been too hot in Phoenix to do much else. Garage temp today was 108.
Awesome & thanks I’m about to add a sub on my accord.
Right on, enjoy!
Thanks for the video man. I just got a 2019 Honda Accord and think the stock speakers are crap. Your video is the only one I can go off of. I also live near Phoenix. I’m in Glendale. Lol. I figured you were in AZ with that sweating. I feel your pain bro. Thanks again for the vid.
Thanks for the kind words if you ever have a question about the Honda reach out
Orion been around for a long time, I build my first system with Orion products and MTX Subs!
They have been around forever still make great stuff and a reasonable price. Running their audio in all 3 cars.
Upgrade your garage with some lights Brotha 😂 this was crazy but I still watched it. n it was informative. Thank u.
Note you have to also do all the first part of the video to get to the led cluster for that rear 3rd brake light stop lamp.
Yeah I know how this goes I had to do this with my 08 accord exl. And now I’m getting the 2018 exl and I think this time I’ll let the sound shop handle it.
Same lol
Arizona👍👍
my man i was just gonna ask when you were gonna do another video. great content. horrible cars lol. wish we could change the head unit would make life so much easier.
You can always run 2 fully functional headunits. That's what I did. Best thing ever.
Awesome Video!! Thank you so much for sharing, I was looking for this kind of information on how to replace the rear speakers on my 2019 Honda sport!
Now I will be planning on change the speaker next weekend . 👍
Great video . Just wish it went a little more in depth on the install part for the pre cut board
can you make a video going over the wiring aspect on the amps, and how and what components you used?
I've gone over my components and how to wire up the amps in the previous couple videos. Are you wanting to see a zoom up of the mounting bracket I made and mounted everything to where I explain all the wiring?
Gotta keep that backseat down when you can for the sub to sound better great vid maybe shoulda used that kilmat on the trunk lid as well
Could really feel the air moving with the back seat down but have 2 car seats in the back so that won't be the case very often.
Hey man where did you buy the "Accord" interior sills at? I am especially interested because I cracked one of my factory ones installing my rear speakers and amp. LOL.
How do you disconnect the tweeters
you got a parts list of the amps and speakers you used
I need to upgrade my lx ASAP
It's worth it, don't think you would regret it.
Thanks for the video. Do you know if need to remove the rear seats in order to remove the rear deck (where rear speakers are). My rear deck rattles when I drive over bumps or play music loud. Was wondering what the best steps are to removing the rear deck.
As shown in the video the rear seat has to come out if you want to pull the rear deck lid, can't access the back seat bolsters without pulling the seat.
Where did you get the clip remover tool?
Where you connected the power blue cable?
How you connect 2 amps to factory radio
When you added the 4 channel did you lose the connection to Bluetooth from the front speakers?
Man I wish u were in jersey I’d bring my accord to you lol
I have a question the previous owner of my Honda Accord I guess he had a upgraded radio system on so I’ve notice that the subwoofer base sounds in the front and not on the actual subwoofer the subwoofer sounds regular
Q1. Did you upgrade the big 3?. Q2. Are you running a separate hidden battery or capacitor?. Q3. Why did you not go under rear seat carpet?. Currently doing the same set-up in my 18 LX. great install vids!
How did you bypass the noise cancellation? My subwoofer cuts in and out along with my front speakers when I turn the volume above 15. I’ve been told there’s nothing I can do about it.
Help I need my music.....
Unplug the ANC module in the passenger cabin
I just upgraded my 2020 EX Accord with Alpine's PSU-300ACD kit. The Alpine kit is 4-channel powered amplifier along with an 8” powered subwoofer. The kit uses factory connectors. No wire splicing needed. I also replaced the car’s 8 factory speakers with component speakers. Alpine's in the doors and Pioneer’s in the rear deck. The whole
upgrade was about $1,000. All I can say about the audio performance increase is STUNNING!
What size stock subwoofer??
The middle speaker the black one, it’s that a base speaker?
I who really appreciate the video I'm currently trying to replace my current speakers, can you please tell me what size speakers you used 👀
6.5 mids and 1 inch tweeters
Bro....i know ur rear deck is rattling against ur rear glass window....what did u do, if anything to fix that? I also have a kicker 12 inch sub in my 2018 accord and the rattle from the rear deck, and also from it hitting the glass was Killin me
Only thing I did was run a strip of Tessa tape along the rear deck lid and third brake light. I also picked up some 1/2" foam rod to jam in between glass and brake light if I could hear a rattle but I don't. I just turned on Tupac with the bass cranked up and my head in the back deck lid and can hear no rattle in the cabin. With my head inside the trunk I can hear barely hear anything rattling. Outside of the car my license plate is rattling a little bit.
Very detailed! Curious what did you use to mount the wood to the back of the seats for the amps?
I ask because isn’t the back of there seat material soft?
Rear harness on the lower seat cushion was just for the seat heaters - my guess at least
Totally forgot the touring has rear heated seats. I'm sure you're right about the harness being for that.
IS THE FUEL TANK PUMP ACCESSIBLE ONCE YOU GET SEAT CUSHION REMOVED?
Yes if the bottom seat cushion is removed
Amazing video, one question. I apologize if I missed it but what size Tweeters you have?
I believe they are 1 inch. They are orion xtr tweeters
Yo man what wheels & tires were you running (size & offset)? Also what did you do for lowering springs?
when are we going to get a video on the vette?!
Will have to make one and post it up.
what model Honda you have? I have an ex-l and hear its more difficult than other models due to factory amplifier.
It's a touring
Have any problem with hissing noise? I’m sad to say after testing I have a hiss. No matter if rcas unplugged or volume at Zero.
Had a little initially and turned the gains down on the lc7i to mitigate.
@44:38 you mention you no longer have 4 crossovers only 2, so you're not using the tweeters you installed in the rear deck lid?
I'm no longer using the extra set of crossovers as I didn't need any longer. I switch the fronts to hcca components and tweeters with capacitors.
@@JustaHondaAccord Thanks for the reply. Are you using a DSP to dial everything in? Just did my 2020 Touring. I used the AXDSPL-HN3 harness. Also ran new speaker wires, JL 2650 components, jl 10in power sub. But I might have to upgrade to those HCCA's.
Kinda curious - what did you do with the spot where the old 'subwoofer' was before? Just left it empty for sound/air movement? Or did that get filled with something?
I've got a '19 touring 2.0 too - want to do all of this again, on my car? 🤣
I didn't see it before, what was your total cost for the goods for the audio side? I'm garageless, so I'd probably be looking at paying for the install, unfortunately. Have done multiple installs in my younger years - the stereo in this car is really lacking though... Needs upgrading 👍
I had the same question. Also, why didn’t you add sound deafening to the interior of the door behind the vapor shield! I’ve seen it’s a huge help for the road noise
I left the stock sub there unplugged.
Assumed the gains would be marginal given the shield looked pretty thick if I ever revisit will add some more kilmat.
live in Korea.
Thank you for the video.
Did you remove the NC function?
I disconnected the anc function.
@@JustaHondaAccord
Ok~^^
do you you take off the white clips on the c pillar
They slide off an on if needed.
What kind of screws did you use to mount your amp rack to the back of the seats?
Think they were just 1" wood tapping screws to go through mdf and through the metal, maybe 1 and 1/4".
@@JustaHondaAccord thank you man
Is that an OEM bodykit on the car? Looks great!
Thanks! The side panel to bumper is oem. The front lip is aftermarket.
Hi did you put the sound deading in the rear deck directly to the deck or you lay it against the plastic over
I put it on the metal deck. So the plastic cover wouldnt be as likely to rattle when clipped down.
@@JustaHondaAccord thank you man iam gonna change mine soon I done the front already your video is very helpful
Hopefully this helps I’m going to upgrade my system and I’m doing it my self I currently have 2 12s RockfordF P2 but I’m going to be putting 2 L7 12s Q series 1800 RMS total with a xca1800.1
I just installed subwoofers with an Amp in my trunk, however once the job was complete, my dashboard lit up with all of the warning signs about the brake system, collision and etc. I can't get rid of them. Has anyone else ran into this problem and know how to possibly resolve it? I'm trying to save myself a trip to the dealer
Just in case someone else reads this, you probably figured out by now im sure. Im guessing it was after you disconnected the battery to do the install and then reconnected, you didn't drive the car right away to let the car "reset".
Guy says , “ i dont ever skip or fast forward the processes”….
Same guy skipped literally everything after door panel removal 😂
Are you just running from hi-low amp? Or did I see an epicenter in there also?
Running 2 amps, one for the sub and one for the speakers in the cabin.
The stock system falls off around 60hz... No low notes with the stock system. Really ducks.
Sound clip
Why did you skip the plugging part . I wanted to see who u did that
Why Honda make it so difficult not change the rear speakers. Never had this problem with the crown vic
Its a bit of a pain to do but it's not hard. Just time consuming.
Kool do u have ur front windshield tinted what % u have on it
Just have a 5% eyebrow
@@JustaHondaAccord ok what tint % did u put on ur front windows and rear
Lighting
That must be the sport accord because my Honda Accord don’t have that sub in it
It's a touring
I just got a 2018 accord and have alot of questions... do you have IG... so I can ask questions?
@justahondaaccord or email justahondaaccord@gmail.com
Dude, how much did you spend ??
Ballpark of a grand including wiring and kilmat.
I install amplifier and subwoofer and my accord 2020 and some warning lights appears after on the speedometer like acc system, brake sistem ,steering wheel problen etc, so i took to the dealer honda to clear those codes they told me i have to removed the amplifier and subwoofer , do you have any problems? Thanks
Nope, have had no issues. Did you plug in all the harnesses you disconnected? Would revisit everything you took apart and double check you didn't miss something. That or splicing a wire are probably the only reasons you would get warning lights.
None of your videos actually show footage of your car and what mods you’ve done. I always see you in your garage. Wish you had more vids of your car
Thanks for the feedback will have another one up soon for the new taillights and will make sure to show case the cars exterior mods.
@@JustaHondaAccord yeah I wanna see what mods you have done. Came across your channel because I’m looking at getting a sport 2.0t. I also like your matching mdx as well 😎
I was going to replace my speaker see the process I said hell no
WTF, you need to take half the car apart to change the back speakers. Well I definitely will not be doing that myself on my 2020 pearl white accord lx 1.5t. 🤦♂️💨💨💨💨💨💨
It's not as bad as it looks just time consuming.
In the old days you’d lay on your back and look up and there was the speakers ,this is rediculous
It was a surprising amount of work.
BEWARE
My 18 accord windshield just cracked.
Dealership replacement is $1700
Safelite quote is $1200
Shame on Honda for this criminal act of extortion for a fn windshield.
Does it have hud?
Yes, it has hud
@@iiidegree that's why, with my accord and c5 that have hud always will do the glass protection on insurance otherwise would be crying over a replacement.
@@JustaHondaAccord i hear you. Learned lesson. For $1700, I would’ve installed an exhaust, intake, blackout kit but instead i have to buy a stress cracked windshield that will probably crack again and then again & so on.
Insurance will pay for it next time but the inconvenience factor of having to go to dealership multiple times in future is discouraging.
Btw... i love driving it though!!!
