Nice, I didn't think of doing it this way and have the same tools. I had put down 1 inch boards and rove on top of them allowing just enough room for me to slide my Low Profile jack. The Million dollar question is why the hell did Honda do this. It's like they don't like DIY Honda owners.
Your left rear jack stand is awfully close to that deep groove in your garage floor… just caught my eye, seems risky. I would have moved the car, or moved the stand just a little further away as there’s some wiggle room on that jack point.
So I did it without jacking the front tires on blocks. If you jack up one of the points under the rear doors, the same side front also raises up enough to put a jack stand under the front door point. Lower the jack till the car sits on the front door stand then now you should be able to get the jack placed from the front and reach the circular cutout jack point. Take your time and should be easy as well as safe. I like to leave the jack raised under the car for safety as well, just may have to reposition the jack as the drain plug is almost in the center of the car. Good luck!
I drive our 2019 Honda Civic Sport, and our 2007 Scion tC, up onto a pair of 2 x 12's. This provides me the clearance to get my jack, which isn't a low profile racing jack, under the front to the jacking point. What I have is a 3 ft length of 2 x 12 with a 1 ft length, ripped down to 8 inches, lag screwed to it. The 1 ft length sticks out beyond the 3 ft length so that it fits in between the side rail guides of my ramps and rests on the ramp's tire surface. The 3 ft length slides up against the base of the ramps and rests against the ends of the side rail guides. These two stacked boards allows me to drive our cars up onto the ramps, or to slide my jack underneath the front to the proper jacking point.
So let me ask, I can see that your factory pinch welds, where the factory jack goes, are bent. I presume this was caused by your floor jacks yoke pressing up against them. Does that bend prevent you from using the factory jack?
Thanks for all the info man , i was wondering if you plan to do trans fluid change i haven't seen one done to the 10 speed auto ? There's one only for manual trans but the procedure for the auto is different . I hope you can tackle that one .
I do, my jack stands are high, was able to pull the exhaust on my c5 which requires a lot of clearance without issue. Am planning on dropping the accord sub frame soon.
@@JustaHondaAccord do I just leave it on the first notch or go highest adjustment? I'm a little scared going under at the highest setting thinking it will be unstable 😂🤣
@@Gym_Adik if you are concerned about your jack stands being on the top rung you might need new jack stands. I've had sketchy jack stands in the past, never again.
I just bought a 2020 accord. If I had known this in advance, I would not have purchased it.. this look like a real pain to change oil and rotate tires.
They make low profile ramps that you can drive up without hitting the spoiler and you can easily get just about any floor jack under the front to the center jack point. I use these and they work great. @t
@@JustaHondaAccord Yes similar, apparently I must not be allowed to post the link. Like 50.00 on amazon. I bought them for a lowered Z28 Camaro I have and they work great for the Accord as well, changed the oil and rotated the tires on the Accord with them today.
Believe I saved a grand by installing all 3 myself. Have to make the decision is the work worth the savings... The puddle lights were the only challenge. Not hard just time consuming and have to get over cutting into a painted panel, that's a tough pill to swallow if it's your first time doing it.

That's exactly what I used to do when I had my BMW, 1put it up on the ramp and then jack it up for jack standa

The pinch welds are not bent its an optical illusion from the fish bowl pov I had the camera set to.
Great job man. Helped me tons. I liked the ramp idea with getting to that front middle jack point.
You bet glad it helped!
List of equipment being used: Floor Jack and Stands. I am currently experiencing a volume problem
wait then how do you take the car down lol
Hey Nick is there a front jack point for a 2018 Acura TLX. Nicely done video. Thanks neil
Arcan makes a good 2 ton low profile jack. I can just barely reach the center jack point at stock height.

It's on the list want to do one fairly soon at 15k. Will make a video when I do already have the atf sitting in the garage.

Any suggestions on how to prevent the plastic air filter hold down clip from flying off when loosening or tightening it?

I do mine every 25k
Great informational safety video!! I liked the music too.
Where can I order a lip for my jack like yours, I have the same low profile jack only in green.
I put a hockey Puck on it.
What wheels are those, wheel size and tire size?
Your socks are waaaaaayyy to big. : )

Believe it or not it's pretty common on a lot of new cars.
Just jacking up one side is usually enough room to get under an change the oil. I've done it like that for years .
Thank you so much.
Did you take off all that felt liner?
Nope, didn't take off the felt liner.
Hi,I want to know if you have a video for the chrome delete?
