  • Pepper Steak with Oyster Sauce, how to make stir fried beef savory and tender 蚝油双椒牛肉
    Hi everyone! Some of you asked for an English version. I tried my best to dub it. Hope it will be helpful. Please comment below how my voice-over is. Thank you! It is so tasty and savory cooking beef with oyster sauce. I use Lee Kum Kee “PANDA BRAND GREEN LABEL OYSTER FLAVORED SAUCE”. The other label “PREMIUM OYSTER SAUCE” is great too. Please try. Here’s the link:
    usa.lkk.com/zh-hk/products?sa...
    大家好!蚝油炒牛肉很提味,很鲜。我用的是”李锦记熊猫牌绿色新装蚝油”。另一款”李锦记旧庄特级蚝油” 也不错。试试看咯,链接在此:

    I made this for our evening's dinner tonight Ling. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it (with rice!). Flank/Skirt steak is not a popular cut of meat in Australia so I improvised with Premium Rump Steak which was an excellent choice. I've ordered Flank from my butcher and it will be received within the week.

    Exactly what type of Rice did you use for your final dish ? You mention eating the finished Pepper Steak with Rice, but your video did not explain this process. I suspect it (Rice) is something like Thai Rice which is slightly 'sticky' when cooked. Am l correct ?

    Why is it necessary to stir beef in one direction?

  • @s.jensen9706
    @s.jensen9706 3 роки тому

    MSG is not bad. It's just a massive hysteria around it that holds no truth. MSG is perfectly natural and is just a combination of glutamine (a harmless amino acid) and sodium (salt). To get really tender beef, just add like a quarter teaspoon of baking soda. Otherwise, love your channel and recipes. PS! The premium is the best. It has more oyster in it and is more concentrated.

    • @ChineseHealthyCook
      @ChineseHealthyCook  3 роки тому

      Agree that moderate MSG doesn’t do harm but personally I’m used to not using it. Thank you 😊

    • @s.jensen9706
      @s.jensen9706 3 роки тому

      ChineseHealthyCook Oysters are a natural source of msg anyway. So people who claim to avoid it eats it naturally in many foods. Seaweed, kelp, mushrooms, tomatoes, oysters, anchovies, parmesan, miso etc etc. so there’s no need add additional msg anyway. It just adds a little extra China-zing that people are used to in restaurants.
