    Yes the Hydraluxe feel a lot heavier in the hand and I can feel the difference on my eyes, so even with the extra lubrication on the Hydraluxe I feel like the Acuvue Moist are actually nicer feeling because they are so much lighter. They are also way cheaper if you purchase them online! ( I also don't get dry eyes with the Moist, can leave them in overnight even with no issues lol )

    thank you! it's amazing how acuvue themselves don't put out any product comparisons to help you choose between their different options...I could not tell what the difference was supposed to be between these two! I've been on Moist for the past couple years but definitely going to re-up with Oasys because dry lenses at night is a huge problem for me.

    I'm Brazilian and I was very unsure between the two options, your video was the only one that showed me a difference that really made a difference in my choice. Thank you very much for the video and success on the channel! A hug from Brazil.

    I have worn the Acuvue Moist dailies for years. Tried the Oasys....had a bad experience. Bad eye strain and sensitivity to light. Gave me a bad headache for a week. Tried two different powers. Finally back in my Acuvue Moist and no problems. The Oasys daily lenses are thicker and really caused problems for me. I have light blue eyes and +5.75 Rx.

    I ve worn Acuvue moist dailies for years with no problems .At the end of the day they do get a bit dry . I switched to Oasys dalies and I found that they would cloud over after an hour or so and keep deteriorating till I cannot see at all in the evening!..I tried them for several days and each time same result. I checked review pages and it seems I am not alone with this blurring experience. I would try to wear them for several hours first before purchasing. Definitely not for me.

      Oasys doesn't dry out even if i left them in for 3days, the moist would get so dry by the end of the day that they would literally fall out of my eyes.

    Thanks for the helpful review. I just got a 5 day trial of the oaysys hydraluxe. Actually, I'm wearing one of each for the 5 days. It's day one and after 9 hours the oaysys seems to be more comfortable. I had been using the moist for several years, but have to use contact wetting drops several times a day. The only down side of switching is that I can get an annual supply of moist for $320, but the least expensive I can find for oaysys in $495.

    Thank you so much for your review! The Acuvue Moist lenses were very comfortable, but still ended up drying out within 6-7 hours (depending on the climate) for me, but these are a godsend! Thanks again and keep up the great work! I'm definitely going to keep wearing the Oasis from now on 😄

    I was trying to decide between Acuvue 1 day moist and Dailies aquacomfort plus as backup lenses to take on holiday and possible replacement for my bi-monthlies. I may try the Oasys just for the holiday but after that I'm not sure.
    They are the same price and both have good reviews.
    Would appreciate any advice.
    Edit- I've ordered the oasys to see if the extra price is justified. They only seem to do them with a b.c. of 8.5 but that seems to vary with different brands, so I just went for it.
    Update: Wow! very, very comfortable lenses! The only lenses where my eyes have actually felt better after putting them in. It actually cooled and refreshed my eyes.
    Halfway through a hot 31.C day here in U.K. and they have passed every test. Will be mixing a pack of these and some cheaper lenses throughout the months.

    I definitely agree with your preference. The Moist version seems thinner and dry out much more quickly. The Oasys feel thicker, but are more comfortable and don't move/distort if you blink hard etc. While the Oasys have less water contact, they seems to stay hydrated and comfortable longer.

  • @LogiForce86

    Just tried the Acuvue Moist as my first lenses ever. They are awesome but indeed I feel like my eyes get tyred at the end of the day, or if I am in a dryer environment they tend to get dry fast and start to slide, also since they don't breath well it sometimes feels as if an air bubble gets underneath depending on how moist my own eyes are.
    Considering asking for Oasys samples and Dailies Total 1 samples to try next.

    I have just finished my first contact lens trial of Moist and i did notice they dry out but they are so difficult to put in. My Optometrist suggested Moist were a bad idea (different Optometrist issued them) and as such issued me a trial of HydraLuxe, i am a few hours in and they seem pretty good... easier to put them in too. I used to wear Acuvue Oasys 2 week contact lenses and they dried out my eyes. Now I have new vein growth in my eyes, they arent noticeable but they weren’t there before I started wearing contacts. These veins are permanent too now they haven’t gone away. I just got daily moist since I’m graduating soon and I want to look my best. Hopefully they don’t dry my eyes out, these are a trail pair the doctor recommended

    Nice review Hannah! I too prefer the Oasys over the Moist. I've worn hard and gas perm contacts since I was 8 (gosh, that's 49 yrs - eek!). Had Lasik 10 yrs ago and while I love it, your eyes change and my vision has never been as perfect as it was with contacts. I just gone back to contacts for occasional use. Love the Oasys much more than the moist!
    Nice tats, too. To each their own; that's the true beauty of living our unique lives. When we learn to stop judging others, we also stop judging ourselves. :)

      What did you end up settling on? I have contact lens issues as well. I haven't loved any of them. Not sure if I've tried Moist Dailies, though. Currently use Hydraluxe. They're okay, but I don't love them.

    honestly if you're buying them outside of insurance, from my experience daily and monthly cost abt the same, cause the other ones are so expensive. Anyway thank you so much I didn't think anyone would have made a video like this, just what i needed

    I'm using the Hydroluxes right now, my main concern is price as the price difference is about $25 per box of 30 lenses. Is there any other tangible difference other than the lens staying moisturized for longer hours and the uv protection? I wear my lens on an average of 7 hours for the weekends.

      irriterendenavn you do you, clearly you don’t have some sensitive or dry eyes. I’m no alarmist-I’ve stretched out the monthlies to two months, sure, but not wearing them all the time! I’m grateful they enable me to see and function and would never miss use them to that degree let alone boast about it. Using a daily for a month is way out of bounds of risk. (And I’m not even sure you’ve actually done it since they are thin and you can only put them in and out so many times before they tear). And I’ve been wearing contacts since I was 7 ( yes, 7!). experience all kinds of lenses over all decades - no way should anyone do this (whomever comes across this)

    protip: save $$$$$$$$$$ by using your dailies for multiple days. I stretch my 90day supply (covered by insurance) for the entire year = free contacts forever

    • @1chienandalou
      @1chienandalou 6 років тому +1

      Pho Kang that sounds like an amateur tip at best. Since I started wearing contacts at seven (yes, 7...), and while I’m not an optometrist I work in human vision so it more pro than you I would guess....You can stretch monthlies, weekly, and to some extent the dailies by wearing them less but dailies won’t tolerate being handled too many times and gonna tear. I’ve been on a very limited budget at times over these years, well actually decades, that I have worn contacts.. Full route month lease or replace, careful extension of the time it’s possible, but the only time I’ve ever had an eye infection in my life was when I tried to use my dailies multiple days wearing them only about eight hours a day, anecdotal but true. Certainly would not recommend using a daily for more than two days with cleaning and taking a break in between and not sleeping in them. I have been very careful with my contacts my whole life and yet as I got older, I know have a chronic dry eye condition, which sometimes causes blurry vision with or without contacts - i’m no alarmist, but be reasonable and take care of your eyes.. they’re important!.

      I've NEVER had a daily contact tear even after using it 7+ days, wearing it 18+ hours, sleeping in them. Been wearing contacts since age 10 and had so many issues with monthlies and two week contacts tearing after wearing them for like an hour. such a waste of money. dailies disinfect just the same as any other contact.

      I agree with both statements. I HAVE had disposable contacts in my eyes for days, even weeks with no immediate issues. They lasted. I hated waking up blind (my script is -6.00. That's a very vulnerable feeling). But I have "chirpies" in one eye from doing so since 1986.

    Try the Bates'Method. Improve your vision naturally.
    5 minutes a day of exercises for a month will see improvement in your vision.
    Have to be consistent though.

    This is very timely. I had an eye exam two weeks ago and decided that I would get the contact lens exam as well. My allergies have been really terrible for the last few years and it wasn't worth it to me to invest, but this year I want more variety. My vision is quite bad and as I am older, my optometrist suggested monthly mono vision lenses - one lens for up close and one for distance. After trying this method, I've decided that it's not for me, but I wasn't sure which lenses to try next. I would prefer dailies myself and now I know what to ask for. Thanks for the recommendation. I also got the call today that my new glasses are ready. Can't wait to get them. 🤓😎

      hi i have a question should the contacts be tangential with the eyeball or it should be touching only the eye in the edge

    • @MuscLA
      @MuscLA 6 років тому

      I wear the moist multifocals dailies. Both of my lenses have the same distance prescription (-1.00 ). The reading prescription was originally +1.75. I found this not strong enough for reading small print on my phone to the point where I was using reading glasses a lot, and tried +2.25. These worked great for close up, but reading signs at night while driving didn't work as well. So we did a modified monovision, the stronger reading prescription in my non-dominant (left) eye and the weaker reading prescription in my dominant (right) eye. It's the best compromise, I can read nearly everything and my distance vision is nearly perfect.
      Unfortunately they're not making daily multifocals.

    You CAN wear "daily" disposable for several weeks AT LEAST, if you take care as if they weren't disposable. It's yet ANOTHER financially lucrative marketing scam for our throwaway wasteful country.

    • @michellePBrainBubblybutt
      @michellePBrainBubblybutt 5 років тому

      @@ikilledthemessenger Five years ago I had "chirps" in my right eye from wearing contacts for weeks WITHOUT taking them out. I did that for 20+ years. I haven't worn a contact in this eye since. I just had an exam last week, and they're gone. So yes, you're absolutely correct. But the daily disposable CAN last n be safely worn for a few weeks...if you take them out every night...
