    Another tip for necessary liquid bottles is to hold upright, and squeeze them in a little to remove some of the air inside. While still squeezing, reseal the lid. - Most liquid leaks occur due to reduced cabin pressure at altitude. The air inside the plastic bottle or tube expands, the lid pops open, and the liquid leaks out. - If some of the air is removed pre-flight, the container will simply expand to it's normal size. - If in doubt, use a little cellotape as an extra precaution.

      for that toiletry bag, is it fine to use on carry on? I've always traveled with my liquids in a clear ziploc but I noticed they are never too strict with that so would this bag work well in a carry on?

      @@sincerelyangola You still need to keep your liquids in a clear quart-size bag. Some airports are more strict than others, and even the same airport will change its vigilance depending on the time of day. You can transfer your liquids to the toiletry bag once you get to the hotel.

    Tip for makeup remover: use a ziplock with cotton rounds, soak w/remover. Doesn't count as liquid. (Just don't use to much).

    Thanks for the video. I will have to try the pouches. I used the lipgloss tubes for some liquids (moisturizer, etc) and they worked great. I also use soap/shampoo bars and cut into smaller pieces for the trip. Love the idea of a stick lotion, but dont want that large size of a container. I also use pill pouches for pills/vitamins, etc. I am going to try balloons over containers I worry about leaking.

      My contact solution also is 3.5oz (105ml) and can’t find it in travel size anymore. But my eye doctor does have trial size bottles, so I just go in and ask if I can please have one for my upcoming trip. The bottle is much smaller (30ml) but it lasts at least two weeks. OK guys I have a question. So I have the same travel bag that this young lady has in her video in one portion I have like my skin care, mouthwash, and toothbrush, the second compartment I have body care stuff. Total I would have nine bottles and TSA stopped me this morning. Remind you all of this was in my carry-on bag, so I wasn’t sure why they even stopped me. Now I will say this I did not have my liquids in a quart size bag. They went ahead and let me go through. But I just didn’t understand, so should I have all of the liquids together in the quart size bag and then put it inside the travel toiletry bag?

    • @alysmalls
      @alysmalls  9 місяців тому +1

      It really depends on the airport now. Technically, you're allowed as many liquids containers (up to 100ml/3.4oz) that would fit in a quart-sized bag. Some airports require you to place them in this bag separate from your main toiletry bag as you go through security. Lately, it seems this isn't the case in many airports, or it depends on the airport/TSA agent
