lucid dreaming is a beginning in the spiritual journey to inner knowledge. I too read Castaneda in college and am a practitioner of the art of dreaming. The more consciousness that you bring into the dreamstate the less confused and the more coherent the dreamstate becomes. And also the more firm the dream body and dream world become. Until the inner world is indistinguishable from our outer (waking) world. The practices of Don Juan in the waking world help create consciousness in the dream world. The gait of power...running in the woods at night to let your night vision allow you to see better in the darkness. Stopping the world...living in the moment. understanding that death is hunting all of us. To begin with the understanding that we must seek a way out of our fate. This knowledge brings us to feel our thoughts and more deeply experience life. To seek within the dream also helps us to feel the world with both heart and mind in waking consciousness. But, also, to not quit searching until we find....and what are we seeking? Ultimately our true selves...which is a reconnection with our creator.

my dreams are so vivid its like I'm in another dimension. I've been lucid dreaming for 14 years now and have gained unlimited control and power within my dreams yet there are times where its like I'm living a separate life in another time. I can't quiet explain it but I always give myself time to wake and evaluate the events of my dream to dissect and decipher its contents. I do believe though that we have full control of the penial gland during sleep though its only speculation
When I was a child I lived a separate life in the dream world for several years so I understand what you are saying. I led a good life there. At that time, I remember being very excited about going to bed at night. I have lost all of this and am hoping to get into lucid dreaming
After watching this last night, I kept telling myself "Am I dreaming?" Until I fall asleep and in then in my dreams I asked myself "Am I dreaming?" Then I realized I am and then little did I know that I was dreaming that I am dreaming about having a lucid dream. Damn.
I've had a few lucid dreams. The first occurred when I was about twenty. The lights in my room kept turning on. I kept getting up to turn them off. About the fourth time I realized it was a dream so I looked at my hands (as Don Juan advised Castaneda to do) and I went up through the ceiling and flew over the city. Very cool.
Had a lucid dream early this morning after watching this. Tried asking the inner awareness a question and sure enough a voice appeared. Sounds like the voice i heard once when searching for god. During that time the voice told me to be careful and that the devil was on my back. But how do I know that this voice can be trusted? On another note maybe none of this is real and im Schiz! Good luck to all out there lucid dreaming! Has been a fairly easy thing for me to do ive done it all my life. I can even plan what I want to dream about before I sleep. A good way to get successful results for ppl out there not having any luck, try depriving yourself of sleep after the witching hour. Stay up till around 4am and plan to have a lucid dream. Become aware.
lucid dreaming helps you realize the awake world is like a dream as well. while were awake we can be 'lucid' and gain an awakening that this life is merely a dream or film to watch. if your somewhat of a skilled lucid dreamer you can manifest your desires in your lucid dreams such as flying like iron man. perhaps we too can manifest our inner desires in the awake world. this insight came as I had a dream during my lucid dream. so double dreaming and double waking.
This interview started my journey of Lucia Dreaming. I saw it back in December 2015 first LD came in February 15th. The dream check was looking at text and looking away and back it had changed and I knew it was dreaming. What a journey, have taken a break and and now returning to the fold. Check out Robert's interview on the The Lucid Truth podcast with Issac. Absolutely mind boggling. Happy Lucid Dreaming. Thanks Robert and Conscious TV.
"The wall to my right was dream stuff" "Dream Stuff" a scientific term since 2012, thanks Robert Waggoner, that's the most scientific word i've ever heard
Got the book yesterday and got up to page 20. Had a LD 1st nigh! Was the 1st LD I had in 15 years so yeah it freaked me out! As soon as I realized I was in la la land I did what the book told me to do and looked at my hands (to keep focus and calm) when I felt I had a grip again I flew off into some woods. I decided that's all I wanted to do that night and pictured myself in bed to wake up. but I must have just drifted off into a dream.
The "inner self" that lucid dreaming is supposed to be a gateway to is the same self that is present in full view every moment of your existence. That is because it is YOU and there is only one YOU. The source of all happiness is not in experiences but in knowing YOU. You are the source, not an experience. YOU are what is extraordinary. You are the ever-present awareness that makes all experiences possible.
My lucid dreaming story starts exactly the same way... reading Castaneda's Journey To Ixtlan and having my first lucid dream a few nights later. This seems like a common story.
What a great interview. Not only did he translate phenomenal info regarding the topic but the delivery and professionalism made it very easy to watch!!! Both of them worked in great harmony!! Thank you!!!♥️♥️♥️
I keep a dream journal and have been practising lucid dreaming for years! Now also I think to form my own views on this there are many teachers but the best inter guide is your higher self! Peace!
The real reason to find your hands in a dream is so you can choose the outcome, for instance when you dream, your dream is just on auto pilot and anything can happen and you have no control ,but when you find your hands, your no longer stuck as a spectator of the dream, your no longer stuck in first person, now you can at least see your hands and pick stuff up ,like guns,so if shit goes crazy in your dream you can defend your self and not freak out and have a night mare when shit goes crazy in your dreams. and learning how to talk in your dreams is just as important ,notice in most of our dreams can be silent, and you can only hear and not speak, once you learn to speak in the dream world ,you can gather information, you can control your path and have a better understanding on how to find your way out of stuff,a good example,if your having a nightmare and you can speak in the dream and use your hands ,you can seek information by talking to someone you see in your nightmare ,and get answers about how to escape ,or how to solve the problem ,or situation in the dream.
This was profound, thanks for sharing! My lucid dreams are 'accidents' now - I'm looking to exercise the level of control you describe - at least some amount of autonomy and interaction

I was around 6-7 when I experienced a recurring pattern of being in a small store at their comic book stand. As I selected the comics I got a sense of fading away and then I realized I was dreaming and on the verge of waking up. Several times I’d be on the bed grasping the comics in my right hand as if I could retrieve them from the dream world but they would dissolve into nothingness and then I’d be awake. That started my journey into lucid dreaming. The part I enjoyed the most was “levitating” off of my bed and flying out the window. I use to dreaming lucidly twice a week but haven’t done it regularly for 25 years. I had some great experiences but for the most part my dreams were too short.
This was such a wonderful, easy to follow yet comprehensive interview. The questions were thoughtful and intelligent and the guest was then allowed to fully answer. I have this book and read it nonstop (it’s one of my favorite books). I ve also had two lucid dreams within a month and a half and continue to expand my awareness and understanding of this natural yet untapped dimension. Thank you 🙏😊💜
thru a dream i realised how limited our physical reality. we r basically locked up in physical body...the limitless awareness makes our physical reality like being locked in a box very limited...
Just shortly before I saw a quit good xplanation in the movie "The Place Promised in our early days" - the explanation they gave of those kind of Pre-javus, are quantum effects between parallel Streams of Reality that allows to look through different Storys, even varietys of your own story. It's a "Source Code" thing.
Friend or foe? This is a much bigger question than you may realize. How can you tell if the people you interact with evey day are friends or not? Whether you are taken advantage of or not depends greatly how you define the word "enemy."
I’ve realized I’m starting to lucid dream more often. Now that I’m aware and I’ve learned some tips I’ve def been able to change things in my dreams. If I get too excited things go black and I wake up. Recently things went black and before I woke up I could hear all these loud voices. It was all of my thoughts. Very overwhelming I think I woke up after that. Then I went into my sleep paralysis. I don’t sleep in my back unless it’s unintentional bc I’ve always suffered from sleep paralysis. Now I’m trying to face my fears and try to enjoy the paralysis state since I’m assuming it’s like a condition for me. This last time I had to say the Lord’s Prayer bc I was trying to wake up. Lol ❤
I have experienced not only recurring lucid dreaming but effective dreaming a la "Lathes of Heaven". Two come to mind: one was a recurring flying dream where I am walking down a tree-lined street and look down and I am a couple of feet off the ground, and from there go flying around over the top of the trees. The other one was I am in a city that seems both foreign and familiar. I can't understand what people are saying but they seem friendly. Years later I was flying for real above the trees in a helicopter in Vietnam. That flying dream stopped after that. 30 years after the war, I returned, fell in love with a Saigon lady, got married and we had our honeymoon in Dalat. From our hotel, we walked down to the lake to have lunch, walked around the city and couldn't remember where our hotel was. We were standing on a street corner and she suddenly jumped on the back of a motorcycle of one of the "Dalat Cowboys" who served as a taxi service. I'm standing on the street corner all alone, no money, passport at hotel, no identification and can't speak Vietnamese. People smiled as they passed by me and I thought, "Damn, this is my dream!". She returned in about 15 minutes and we walked to the hotel about 3 minutes away. Never had that dream again.
Great upload! ive been a lucid dreamer for 5 years, but i havent induced one in quite some time. i had a bad BAD lucid dream once, and i woke up in terror. but i will try it again, just to open my mind completely. thanks again for the upload!
You say you woke up, what were you when lucid? I have never had or heard of any bad experiences with lucid dreaming, though I am no expert. Were you trying some mental gymnastics when this bad experience occurred?
Charles Gibson Hey Charles, Thanks for your reply! well i had an amazing lucid dreaming experience, before it turned into a nightmare, let me explain. i dreamt i woke up in my room, suddenly i noticed the furniture were all out of their ordinary place, so i thought "hmm thats strange" i flicked the light switch, nothing happened... Suddenly... i heard my clock just *tick* VERY fast, i looked at the clock, it was SPINNING super fast, so i thought "hey..wait... THIS IS A DREAM!" and i was just filled with ectasy, such an amazing feeling. then it all turned black... and i woke up in the dream again... but this time, i felt.. affraid, terrified, though i did not know why... i peaked around the corner of my wall.. suddenly i heard someone PUNCH the wall right infront of me, then i woke up, and i was unsure if iw as awake or not. hard to explain.. hope this helps!
Yes it does, after reading your first post I searched and there are reports on similar experience, states of fear as you mention. I have always experienced a euphoric feeling in a lucid dream. I think what you describe is fear in ordinary dream after departing the lucid state, I think, if I understood you correctly.
Charles Gibson Yes that might be correct. it was strange indeed... it was the same psychological dream space as in the lucid dream state, but this time i had no control over it... So yeah it might have been another state of dreaming that caused this.. but the euphoria you describe charles, i know all about it. you know how it feels, when your arm or foot falls "asleep" that feeling is the same i get when i realize i am dreaming, only then ALL over. its like this amazing feeling of "OH MY GOD!!!! im dreaming, WOOOW!" and i get massive euphoria until the dream ends. Its a strange phenomena indeed, being conscious in your unconscious. according to my studies, we spend 20-25 years asleep. So being lucid during some of that time is pretty good i think. i tend to explore my deepest fears while lucid, so i can understand them better, and make it easier to face them in ordinary life. so, since we´re at it, what do you do when you are lucid charles? anything in particular? Thor
I haven't gotten through the whole video yet but I hope that there's conversation on the differences in time between the dream world and our waking life. Sometimes I wake up at 830 and get back into a dream immediately to spend just about 12 minutes of dream time but then I wake up W right when it's done and it's 1130....
Reading your book now on lucid dreaming. Love the chapter on "do we control the dream" and was thinking about making one of my next videos on this channel about that as well as sleep paralysis.
My dreams saved my life many times making peace . It's like rewinding but stepping forward is like standing on a gold touch of gold light . I see such amazing things in dreams like close your eyes your in your bed but you close your eyes and your down stairs but not in are time there's no sound emoshions nothing . I have no feet arms but drifting up the stairs drawn to something but I'm upstairs under my blanket feeling somethink coming to ords me. I felt my self from the door way I can see where I am but my feelings I feel my self at the door way . Three way angles .
Levels of awareness behind levels, behind levels...Who experiences the dream? Who creates the dream? Who casts the critical eye from above and beyond these transpiring apparencies.?
I really enjoyed this video . Can I ask what your opinion on lucid dream aids are. As in galantamine the supplement . I find my ability to lucid dream changes frequently

I occasionally use galantamine like once every month or so. I use it if I want to have epic dreams that night. I feel that its not so good to rely on using it as it may hinder your ability to lucid dream normally. So what I'd say is just use it one night where you know you can get a lie in and want very vivid and potential lucid dreams :)
I know this is probably a relatively easy question. What is the voice or conscience awareness he describes that speaks to him, and gives him anwsers. Is it his inner self?
I don't think anyone knows for sure. Some would say it's the subconscious, others would say it's our inner self, others that it's a universal awareness that were part of, but temporarily feel separate from.

Sometimes I have a double Lucid dream. Lucid dreaming is pretty common on me and sometimes I realize that Im having a Lucid dream while Im dreaming. Quite often I flap my hands and fly to go to the other side of the Mountains and see all the adventures on the way through and the other side of the Mountains. If something goes wrong and if I wake up before completing the Mission I get freaked out. I often listen to Traditional Instrumental Chinese Folk music with Erhu and Flute to have a deep joyful dream. I don't know about others but it works for me.
you said sometimes I realize that Im having a Lucid dream while Im dreaming. that’s what a lucid dream is…realizing you are dreaming while you’re dreaming. it’s not a double lucid dream. are you sleeping and dreaming and then having a lucid dream in your sleep? That would be a double lucid dream I’d think. ;)
I don't mean to sound rude but what the heck is a double lucid dream? Also, a lucid dream is a dream where you become aware that you are dreaming within the dream. So the only time you would have a lucid dream is when you're in the dream and you become fully aware that you are dreaming. When you wake up the next morning and can recall some dreams you had the night before, those are not lucid dreams. Those are just normal dreams. Unless of course you knew you were dreaming while you were in the dream.
Me too. I can't say I remember most; I know more often I'm in some other dimension or something, however many dreams I remember.... I know I'm dreaming. This has happened for years. Awhile back I read this is lucid dreaming. Now I guess I'd like to induce them and keep journals etc. 💭💭💭💫🌛
Gina Haffie Funny cause I just woke up. I didnt remember this dream so it couldn't be lucid. I think one of the reasons is because I chat to other people about my dreams and talk about it all the time. Is it possible to dream about talking cause that's the only thing I can remember. Even if I don't write a dream journal I do try to recall my dreams every day.
Gina Haffie you guys are semi-lucid. You are not actually aware that you are aware that you are dreaming. If that makes some sense...you know its a deam; yet you still respond as if you must react/the situation is real. When you become fully lucid it is another level. You will understand if it happens. You just stop the dream and do as you please

I’m a beginner in meditation and I’ve noticed when I begin to fall asleep while meditating I begin to dream. I know I’m doing it and quickly snap back into mindful meditation. My question is: what use does lucid dreaming have?
Do you begin to become aware you’re in a dream? If not then you’re not lucid dreaming. I’ve meditated before bed with an intention to go lucid and I did. I have to keep practicing however bc sometimes I get too excited and everything goes black and I wake up.
Ok, I have this problem... It's happened a few times now and it's really annoying. Whenever I realise I'm dreaming I suddenly wake up and find myself in a sleep paralysis...any tips?

Every Day I used to get Dreams,? Some good, Some bad. I researched a lot on Dreams and finally understood that "Dreams are UN-fullfilled aims and activities of the day life" When I searched in Apple Appstore for Dreams, You know what? I got an app called "dreamed" by Lokesh Hanumappa This is really cool app which records the dreams and then converts? each dream into a goal which is tracked for completion. This is what I wanted and this is really cool way of maximizing the hints given Dreams.

How can you find your hands? To find the gands in dreams, you need awareness, right? How to do it

@@zoeshannon9509 Do you remember any details?
After watching this last night, I kept telling myself "Am I dreaming?" Until I fall asleep and in then in my dreams I asked myself "Am I dreaming?" Then I realized I am and then little did I know that I was dreaming that I am dreaming about having a lucid dream. Damn.
Thr experiences can entangle in very interesting knots
I've had a few crazy experiences with this. Probably one of the more popular topics on my channel. People are waking up to this! Great video!
"The wall to my right was dream stuff"
"Dream Stuff" a scientific term since 2012, thanks Robert Waggoner, that's the most scientific word i've ever heard
Brilliant 😊
My lucid dreaming story starts exactly the same way... reading Castaneda's Journey To Ixtlan and having my first lucid dream a few nights later. This seems like a common story.
What a great interview. Not only did he translate phenomenal info regarding the topic but the delivery and professionalism made it very easy to watch!!! Both of them worked in great harmony!! Thank you!!!♥️♥️♥️
I keep a dream journal and have been practising lucid dreaming for years! Now also I think to form my own views on this there are many teachers but the best inter guide is your higher self! Peace!
I agree. I discovered it by myself and pursued it on my own. People are different and no two minds work the same.
Hey, how's your lucid dreaming still going ?
My lucid dreams are 'accidents' now - I'm looking to exercise the level of control you describe - at least some amount of autonomy and interaction
wow this is what i needed to read to take it to another lvl ive always been stuck on spectator mode, what you wrote as a comment makes things come full circle for me thanks !

Thank you, mister Waggoner! This book is my favourite and I read it at least 2 times already :)
This interviewer is excellent; one the best I have heard
I've read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also enjoyed this interview and found Mr. Waggoner to be a truly nice man and easy teacher.
you are who you allow yourself to become
All I can say is thank you. I asked to understand Lucid Dreaming and your video just was the first thing that popped up. I do trust without a doubt, when I need to know something, that I will be shown the answer.
So, thank you for your video 🙏
Hey, how's your lucid dreaming still going ?
This whole conversation is mind blowing but also so comforting! Thank you SO MUCH for this video to you both! 💗
I had vivid dreams growing up. I still remember some of the vivid dreams.
so much valuable knowledge!
Thank You! What a great way to spend my Sunday morning. I ordered his book and I’ve gone to your website. Looking forward to viewing more of your programs.
Thank you 🙏😊💜
I’ll announce to my inner awareness: “take away all of my fears for one week” when I can lucid dream
"i have a habitual focus". what an amazing pointer. i will mediate on this. thank you
This is the best talk on UA-cam. ... AMAZING.
amazing book, inspired me to restart my dream journal and get lucid again ....
smiling so hard now.....the hands technique worked the Very first time 🔮🔮🔮🔮🎶🗯💭awareness is hugely empowering 🎶🎶🎶
thru a dream i realised how limited our physical reality. we r basically locked up in physical body...the limitless awareness makes our physical reality like being locked in a box very limited...
The Best explanation I've had, thanks to consioustv. Robert Waggoner, thank you!
Brilliant information! Wonderful interview.
Glad i listened to this
another awesome video, much thanks ctv
omfg this changed my life
Just shortly before I saw a quit good xplanation in the movie "The Place Promised in our early days" - the explanation they gave of those kind of Pre-javus, are quantum effects between parallel Streams of Reality that allows to look through different Storys, even varietys of your own story.
Lol ❤
Excellent interview, great questions.
+phapnui Interesting. My flying dreams start in a somewhat similar way. How do you fly?
Hey, this guy is a member on LD4All as well. ^_^
So yeah it might have been another state of dreaming that caused this..
but the euphoria you describe charles, i know all about it.
you know how it feels, when your arm or foot falls "asleep" that feeling is the same i get when i realize i am dreaming, only then ALL over.
its like this amazing feeling of "OH MY GOD!!!! im dreaming, WOOOW!"
and i get massive euphoria until the dream ends.
Thor
Thor Hald I LOVE that feeling!!! I get excited when I got to sleep just to lucid dream!!
I haven't gotten through the whole video yet but I hope that there's conversation on the differences in time between the dream world and our waking life. Sometimes I wake up at 830 and get back into a dream immediately to spend just about 12 minutes of dream time but then I wake up W right when it's done and it's 1130....
Really enjoyable stuff. I've read Waggoner's book and was lucid dreaming within a couple of days, this is amazing territory.
To understand lucid dreaming, watch the movie "What dreams may come" a Robin Williams movie. Knowledge is the key..
Wow. Wonderful interview. Very interesting!
Reading your book now on lucid dreaming. Love the chapter on "do we control the dream" and was thinking about making one of my next videos on this channel about that as well as sleep paralysis.
Matter, energy, and consciousness. Makes sense to me :D Robert Waggoner is awesome, yall need to read his book!
Excellent/Amazing..A must own book for me. Thanks for the upload...
Updated my journal
Epic. Beautiful, useful interview. Thanks so much for sharing.
The question would then remain, friend or foe?
“The universe has no beginning or end; it is an everlasting cycle.” Whoa. 🙌
Excellent!
What an incredible video. Very amazing information.
Lately, my dreams are getting clearer, i mean, i can remember what i did and even the clothes, color ..am i beginning to lucid dream? any tips on how can i master lucid dreaming? thank you and more power
I have his book and haven't finished it...hope I certainly do now...or is this a dream.
ah thank you very much, i will search now. just before bed ha
Drew
Keeping a dream journey is a good idea! You can read it and help you understand bigger messages from dreams also could use dream interpretation books! Also there are apps to help lucid dream and masks! I have used spinning method in dream to prolong the dream! Lucid dreaming can also be enjoyable and fun!
Hey, how's your lucid dreaming still going ?
Today afternoon when I took a nap I dreamt that it was raining and when I got up in the evening it started to rain! Weird...
I wonder, if you can use LD to deal with anxiety etc, I wonder if a person could use it to deal with Bi-polar and be rid of it?
I read that it is now proven that bipolar and schitzofrenia are both caused by the toxoplasmosis parasite moving up in the brain and infecting it. Maybe you could try a parasite cure? Search for Deborah Drake on youtube. She is an expert on parasites and biofeedback. Try contacting Robert Waggoner personally to Ask about bipolar and Lucid dreaming.
great interview
great information
a must do experiment
be more
thank you robert for sharing
bob:)
Very interesting, had the man read Castaneda's books the proper way he would be much more ahead...But he did a wonderful job !
I know this is probably a relatively easy question. What is the voice or conscience awareness he describes that speaks to him, and gives him anwsers. Is it his inner self?
I don't think anyone knows for sure. Some would say it's the subconscious, others would say it's our inner self, others that it's a universal awareness that were part of, but temporarily feel separate from.
inner self, God depends on your own personal belief system I suppose
Banzi Sithole interesting, is it a totally different voice that feels separate from you?
bob g In my case yeah it felt completely external, but again I think the mind shapes according to ones own belief system, cultural background etc
bob g but I don't think that makes it any less real for the individual, I don't think there is one unifying theory for this kind of thing
god dammit , lately ive been that much reading and thinking and practicing those reality checks about lucid dreaming that even in my dreams ive seen my self talking about lucid dreaming with other people, and i still cant recognize thats a DREAM .... whyyyy ??? ii neeed help , i wanna be lucid at least once in my dreams hehe
riveting
Magda Wyspianski
Whoops, I didn't see your response, Magda. You asked/said the same thing I did.
thank you!
really great interview
Very informative and interesting. Thanks for posting this CTV. Just curious if Iain actually had a lucid dream since this interview?
I don't write a dream journal, but I still remember very many of my dreams and have a lucid dream about every day. Any ideas?
Akeldama
Well it depends. Some are just semi lucid but when I get lucid I usually get fully lucid.
Same I'm an expert lucid dreamer it took a lot of time but now I'm an expert
Interesting. Today my dream state when I rested was just violet light.
So fascinating... I'm currently trying to train myself to lucid dream and I'm definitely going to take some of his advice, i might even buy the book :)
I've read his book. It's totally worth it!
Awesome, I'm trying to train myself now and I've actually had a couple lucid dreams
Cool. How were they?
How and where can I learn to be able to lucid dreaming?
Does anyone know where can I find more about meeting with gurus in dreams? This is fascinating, I would like to read more real experiences!
Aaaamaazing
lovely interview :)
Lucid dreaming is 'going downstairs' - its incredible and explains a lot about our world. Imagine living in a house and never even considering that there's a downstairs - let alone basement!
How much practice does it take to lucidi dream? I keep wanting and trying - since one month. But no luck.
Also, stay calm. I have had a handful of lucid dreams and they end a majority of the time because I get too excited.
I have second life in my dreams last 30 years
First started when I was 5 years old
Lucking for answers
Didn't no is the lucid dreams
Some time I confused real life memory with dreams
Do any one of you have the same experience?
Please for help
Every Day I used to get Dreams,? Some good, Some bad.
I researched a lot on Dreams and finally understood that
"Dreams are UN-fullfilled aims and activities of the day life"
When I searched in Apple Appstore for Dreams, You know what?
I got an app called "dreamed" by Lokesh Hanumappa
This is really cool app which records the dreams and then converts? each dream into a goal which is tracked for completion. This is what I wanted and this is really cool way of maximizing the hints given Dreams.
Fantonomisk. Thanks from Planet Denmark
