This was totally different to what i usually do some of you may enjoy it some may hate it but i wanted to talk about some of the struggles i go through as a RC content creator on youtube and even though its amazing getting free RC cars and products its not always as it seems. The purpose of this video is to inform and educate and hopefully help people to understand its not always as glamorous as it appears. Let me know if you like this format and may be i will do more in the future. 👍
I subbed to this channel when you didn't have many subs, back when you 4S swapped your Maverick Strada MT.. I remember that first review you did for Banggood too, I remember how made up you were.! 😉 Since then I've become a regular viewer & commenter, I've stuck with you for a reason Ricky... That's because you're a real one mate. It's obvious to anyone with even a modicum of common sense (which isn't as common as you'd hope) 😁 I don't always agree with you but I always respect your opinion, (even if you do go on a bit 😜 😁 😂) you always seem to make a point of replying to my comments which I really do appreciate.!! Like you say, engagement is important, it makes us feel like we're part of the channel.. I love that I've been able to feel part of your channel as its grown & improved over the years. Your dedication, opinions, morals, integrity & personal sacrifices are truly recognised & appreciated by 99% of us mate.! Oh yeah . I forgot to say I fired up the rlaarlo cf Omni termknator after it sat for months and totally forgot how nimble and fun it is to drive . I may have gotten bored with it when newer RC s came along but it’s still a blast and I’m glad I got it . I’m going to keep it in working order and enjoy it as a ground ripper amd small jumper . It’s defintely a good RC even if the diff cups wear that’s part of the RC game from my understandings is that many parts are “ consumable parts “ and wear like anything else . Seems like it’s not so bad tbh .
Honestly, no hype or BS, I love your channel and the way you do your videos and reviews. It’s straight forward, to the point, you show and demonstrate the reasons you like or dislike an RC. You explain why? See, it’s very easy to say the “GOOD” or the “ BAD” when it comes to RCs but to voice why you feel the way that you do means a lot and that’s why I feel you connect more to your viewers than a lot of other “ YT” channels. Your honesty comes through. As a loyal viewer of your channel I see that, trust me that when I say that I can literally feel and see your honesty come through I mean it. I can tell from viewing your content when you’re feeling strongly about something because you express yourself whether the company that manufactures the vehicle you’re reviewing likes it or not. I’ve been in this hobby for about 47-48 years now and I actually enjoy watching your videos because your reviews come from your heart and soul. I’ve purchased loads of RCs just based off of your videos alone and I gotta say when I received the RC that I purchased based off of your video I actually do see and understand what and why you felt the way that you did when it came to that particular RC. So thank you brother for all the info, all the reviews, all the good RCs , all the bad RCs, all of your knowledge and your opinions, for showing me all the worthless RC junk so that I don’t waste my money on and your explanations as to why they are junk, why I should get a specific RC and good things about that RC you think are a game changer. Thank you brother, thank you. Your content and your videos and you mean more to people than they’re willing to admit. I appreciate your honesty and your videos and never believe that your videos don’t mean anything to anyone because they absolutely do. Keep being real regardless how anyone feels towards you. Your channel is growing and it has great content. There will always be haters. No matter who you are there will always be people that want to bring you down. But that’s just cause how they really feel about themselves. Anyways, brother keep the videos coming. 👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂❤️
We resonate with the points you made in the video-you've captured the voices and thoughts of so many people. Balancing a full-time job and family while pursuing your passion for UA-cam is no easy feat, and your dedication is admirable. We know how challenging it can be to stay consistent, especially when sacrificing your time. But we’re genuinely proud of you for continuing to grow your RC channel; it just keeps getting better and better. Your passion shines through, and it’s that same passion that will drive your success. Rlaarlo also listens to many voices-whether it's feedback, criticism, or even frustration. We welcome it all because it pushes us to improve and move forward. Keep up the amazing work. You're inspiring us all.
As a two year old channel, I really appreciate this video. Still striving to get the first 1,000 subs but I’ve been really lucky to have companies like Fair RC, Hobby Plus, and Direct RC give me a chance to do reviews for them. I feel so lucky. I’d love to make it full time some day. People don’t realize the kind of commitment, planning and work it takes. Cheers, mate.
Thank you for this. It solidifies why I continue to watch your channel. Your first Banggood video is why I got into RC and it's how I love to spend most of my free time now. It became a healthy outlet for someone recovering from addiction and even helped me to get out to exercise more and your message of pushing through the negativity is inspiring. Just remember, the negatives are a small representation of the overwhelming positivity and joy that channels like yours brings and you never know how it can grow a new branch in someone's life. Cheers and blessings to you and your family.
@@waylonjames9378 this is exactly why I decided to start my channel… I hope you remain part of this 2% that most never reach.. keep the right path,it gets better..
Personally, i get sent many rc cars as well, but i try to never "sell" the car. I just try to show an RC living up to its fullest abilities and just try to have fun. If a viewer likes a car I review, they can buy, but our Policy on Rek RC is that we do not accept any commissions for any rc sold through one of our links. We get offered commission, but we don't view ourselves as a marketing and review channel, so we decline commission. We go for entertainment above all, and if a car performs well, then a viewer can decide if they want to buy it. But if i don't think its worth it, I'll flat out say that. I'll still provide a link as requested by the companies, but I'll warm the viewrs about if I would personally buy it or not. Luckily we've only encountered a few cars we wouldn't recommend, and we're in the process of editing a video of one like that now. But generally speaking, if you're having a good time, your viwers will as well. And at the end of the day, we all just want to smile a bit.
Rek Rc..... you're one of my favourite new (to me) channels dude. I love your upbeat and fun vibe, and also you do a lot of comparison videos (which I think a lot more people should do for easy extra content). Keep up the good work man
I find I tend to favour channels who find a good balance between reviews, workshop/wrenching, projects, events…… rather than those who stick to a repetitive formula. Your content and quality is always great, don’t be afraid to mix it up 👍
Great video, dude! I've seen your thumbnails come up in my feed recently and took a dive into your channel this week. Really great stuff! And this video was tastefully done, clearly articulating the paint points and challenges (and wins) of being an RC UA-camr. Great content! Subbed! 😎
Thank you for all of your work. I have made many purchases based off your expertise and have not been disappointed. Keep up the good work and I'm thinking about starting a RC channel soon. You are my inspiration!!!!
Keep up the good work mate. Honesty is what makes your channel great and watchable. Another thing is you are not trying to be like anybody else, unlike some !
I appreciate you taking the time to tell how you grew. Id welcome more helpful videos for sure. You're a awesome channel in my opinion, I watch every single one you put out
Nothing is free in this world. I'm offended! Not sure what about but I'm offended. I turn down most smaller scale budget cars that are under $200 as unless I like it for myself, it has no real value vs the amount of work and time it takes to make a review video and what its value is once used. I would rather purchase RC kit that I like myself. I only ever had one company try and get me to change or take down my comments when it was factually correct. I would never work with them again. All the others just accept my review comments.
I'm a big fan of your channel. 1st and foremost because your honesty. My channel continues to grow 2 years in. Almost to 5,000 subs. Most people don't understand how much time, money, and effort it takes to make quality videos and channel. Here is to 40,000 more subs. Cheers.
I started back in the hobby about 2 years ago, when I did I started to watch a certain large channel, and it was a bit like a car crash (excuse the pun), I wanted to learn and bosh I did learn some things, but the way they abused the cars and just laughed because they have money infuriated me. So I started looking for other channels to watch and have pretty much settled with you and a certain ex RAF man. This is in a great part because I value honesty and level headed opinions, which I find on both channels, I also don't like a lot of shouting... Being an older person I realize how things are, I have always found your reviews to be fair, you are not afraid to tell the big boys they don't have it quite right, and other companies that we don't really want loads of lights. I find you have a good balance of humour and reportage. Ignore the jealous and the haters and keep on doing YOU!
I appreciate what you've presented here. I've thought about starting a channel myself, not for free RC cars, but to help out people new to the hobby. Sometimes, it's difficult to find info for people brand new to RC, answers to basic questions, etc. It is nice for someone to shed real light on the trials and pitfalls of having a channel. At any rate, I've only viewed a few of your videos but have enjoyed them! Best of luck from the States!
Hey man - please do the video like this more. Many people like me wanted to do the same and not for the money but for fun and to make this hobby more popular! Here in Ukraine it is treated like a childish hobby ((( but it is so much fun and I want to show it for everyone!!!
thank you ill be saving this video to a playlist to remind me where i am..working my way to 1000, using a phone 11 and a gopro hero 4, I'm so slow at editing sometimes i struggle to face it, once i start i end up with smile...👍
Thanks for all of the work and time you put into your videos. I've bought RC trucks on the back of your videos AND taken the plunge in upgrading parts too, so it's a bit of a win all round.
As an incredibly handsome one legged UA-cam creator I totally agree on the points you’ve made here, it is a very hard thing to master or even get your head round at times. I’m under a 1000 subs but climbing slowly, but I do really enjoy making the content and I think that helps a lot. I’ve had a couple of haters but to be fair they don’t bother me I just say thanks for watching . Good on you mate keep it up been here from almost the start and will be here to watch ya grow
I always find your content honest and enjoyable to watch. I don't even own any bashers (just crawlers) but still enjoy watching your content anyway due to you being down to earth and honest 👍 and you cover a wide price range of cars and explain the good and bad of all which is what people should get to see so congratulations on providing an entertaining channel and thank you 🤘 you deserve being sent cars for the effort you put in reviewing them, I'd find that a chore having to review something if I wasn't in the mood that day for example, and as for video editing time etc nah lol so well done and keep up the good work!
I just started my channel in april 2024 and its not easy at all so much respect to all content creators thanks for tips, tricks and the struggles that comes with it this is a great video great topic 👍🏻
Alot of people watching this video can relate...ive only had my first RC car sent to me for review after 5400 subs and 2 years and 4 months into my journey...the incredible part....3 companies contacted me that same month....keep grinding guys! Thanks for the honesty Ricky💯💪🏼
Thankyou for doing this video. I think your videos are good. You put the time and effort to record the videos and then editing them takes time. You have done well to get where you are now. You helped me decide on what smaller rc to get for in my garden with you doing cheaper end of the rc hobby. The rc i got from your video was the tracer brushless and then got the oil shocks for it and love it small and quick rc for its size
Subscribed! Really enjoyed your videos so far. Just got back into the hobby with my 12 year old daughter. What I really would like to see ( if you already have not) is a video where you explain, unbox, run, and review a Tamiya buggy. I would like you opinion afterwards as to what you though, and why do you think Tamiya has not really evolved and changed with the times. Where is their RTR brushless trucks, higher quality plastics, etc.? I really wanted to buy another Tamiya for my daughter's first rc, but after teaching her how to run a Slash, I opted to buy here her own Slash and an Team Associated RB10 for Christmas this year. Santa will get the credit, but that is fine with me. Lastly, what xountry are you from? My daughter was really confused when she heard you say pounds instead of dollars. We are from South Carolina USA. PLEASE keep your channel rolling. It really is something my daughter and I are enjoying watching together!
I appreciate your effort and time. I see that you guys and girls work hard to bring good content. I will continue watching you and other youtubers regularly. THANX !!!
I like your work. I remember when I started my small UA-cam channel, I used to watch a lot of your videos (still do to be fair) to get inspiration. No one understands the Algorithm and that’s fine! I do it for fun! Keep it going!
This was a great watch, thanks man. I understand a lot of what you saying because I have a channel as well, so I do know the struggles. Well my crappy small 86 subscriber channel. Been at it for over a year, just can't get it to grow. The Drone cinematic stuff is also all over UA-cam. But it just seems like the algorithm never puts my stuff out there. People can't seem click the like button to help small channels, or ever comment. Lol. So I've basically stopped. It got me into the Rc cars though. But yeah man, love your channel. Keep up the great uploads.
Thank you for making this video. As a new channel I know exactly what you mean. Most people just don't realize the amount of work involved in creating content.👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hi there. Total rc noob here. I think it’s good to have every now and then such Q/A videos. Doesn’t necessarily have to be live. Such videos can be longer than usual.I think you are doing well with your videos. That said, i hope these questions can be addressed in your future videos: 1) How do you clean your RC cars? 2) Do you change connectors or use adaptors on your battery/esc since they are so many types of them. 3) How do you store your cars? Do you hang them? Keep up the great work!
It seems to me there is a bit of an explosion of people, perhaps younger people who believe they can earn a fanatstic living online by providing content of some kind. Truth be told there are very few "rich" people from you tube and there are billions of people all over the world who believe they will be rolling in cash. Like any business there are no short cuts and it all takes serious hard work whatever you do, so what you say resonates. I find it all a bit sad really,, the world has changed with content, viewing habits, on demand etc which has changed the way we entertain ourselves. if you are able to provide content, do it full time and make a good living you are one of the few and are doing remarkably well. For Beyond RCI personally find your reviews sensible, believable and reliable. I bought our first RC car (hbx 2996a) after your review and i completely agree with your opinion of that car including the battery tray being a bit too small. i like many will keep watching and i hope you continue with your success and if you get a few free cars on the way good for you.
Much appreciated! you are absolutely right i find so many believe they can become millionaires overnight on a platform like tiktok, Instagram or youtube and in reality its really not like that and highly unlikely going to happen. The amount of work required and how much money you end up investing for a lot of the time very little gain is enough to put so many people off but to get a good end result after many many years of hard work the only thing to do is keep working extremely hard! Hopefully the future is good! Cheers
Cheers Bro just something i have wanted to do for a while as a lot of people think we live this dream life with all the free RC cars etc but in reality its nothing like that and the hard work that goes into it along with all the negative stuff kind of makes it not worth the grief sometimes haha!! But we carry on regardless! I'm glad this vid is proving to be useful for some. Definitely needed to be said. Hope you are good man!
@beyondRC it's a huge reason why I haven't uploaded in a while bro, sometimes it gets to you. Sometimes a break is good and for me, it's been great! And I'm keen to get back on that horse haha 🐎 keep up the great work mate!
I’ll throw in another vote for “we love what you’re doing, and haters are always gonna hate” But more sincerely, I started following and continue to watch your channel because I feel you do a great job at honest and consumer minded reviews and tests. I like that you’ll give credit (to a company or car) where it’s due, and constructive criticism as necessary to help us viewers understand what’s REALLY going on with a product and/or what to watch out for. Keep doing what you do, try not to get hung up on all the blah blah blah. If it’s any help, I can see it in the comment threads where you’re helpful and responsive to your viewers that have legitimate interaction …. And the keyboard warriors just wasting bandwidth with the B.S. Not even worth your time mate 👌 So ya, good work! And thank you!
I hate it when some videos over 10 minutes in and they're still pointing out pictures on the box... I be like dude just take the car out the box and show the parts right on the car! 😂😂
Your commitment to the channel definitely reflects your growing success. Great content for beginners through to seasoned veterans. I absolutely enjoy your videos so please continue with your great work 👍
Thanks for this content. Enjoyed it. There is so much access journalism in other areas of entertainment that I think people assume it’s present in our hobby.
Really appreciate your honesty, i consider u one of the few serious reviewer i trust and agee most. Thanks for aharing your thoughts! Cheers from italy❤
RLAARLO isn’t all they’re cracked up to be. They have screwed over multiple channels by not paying them for their affiliate sales or cutting communication cold turkey, resulting in some channels removing their videos all together. Sometimes the juice (views) isn’t worth the squeeze (free cars). Anyone starting a UA-cam channel should have realistic goals that they’ll never get rich, or even break even. Make videos because you enjoy making them.
I know you have had a very bad experience with Rlaarlo and i fully understand your hate towards them. The thing is they do produce a good quality product most of the time which is more than can be said for even some of the big brands out there. Customer service is questionable at times no doubt about it. If the big brands stopped being greedy and made a good quality, good performing brushless beginner truck it would end all the cheap Chinese brands and make them not a very good option at all. The problem is they wont as its all about money. The Arrma GROM range could have been the cheap Chinese brand killer. A nice small portable package which people seem to like, durable and high quality and make them affordable. instead we got a 1980's brushed setup which only does 20mph give or take out the box, instant boredom IMO. Expensive spares/upgrades which makes them look like not a very good option at all. Why didn't they make them 2s brushless out the box for $149? No instead they dont even compete in terms of performance with something from MJX or Rlaarlo. Shame really bro and i do understand fully but until the big boys give us something superior for a decent price these budget brands control the budget/beginner/cheap market.
@@beyondRC I agree. But a brand like HH will not screw over the creators that push their product for them. The only way to truly be unbiased in this market or any market is to buy the cars like the average consumer. We all get a little biased when they’re free 🤓
@@413RC not sure I agree with the last part as mentioned in the vid I will say when I enjoy or like a product it doesn’t mean I’m biased just that I can appreciate a good product. Thing is people have bad experiences with many companies. Traxxas for example and their business practices. People don’t like the way they do things and yet it won’t stop all the channels out there and all the anti traxxas haters from considering or buying a mini maxx 😉 my point is your bad experience and the way they have treated you wasn’t right and I agree with that but if a product turns up to me and I like it and value wise it beats a lot of cars out there in comparison then unfortunately I will support it all day long. I see when you 😂 at a lot of their posts on fb it obviously hurt you a lot they way they treated you and they should make amends 😕
You were wondering what to describe this video as. I have the answer, it was a mild rant 😊, however more accurately, it was you venting some frustrations and that is a good thing mate 👍. Keep up the great work, I enjoy your content and I only buy kit rc cars 😊.
I have two YT channels, ASMR and Health based on, it takes a LOT of work, i was able to just about find the time to do it all during covid/lockdown and after a short while. i dont have time for them anymore as i work full time and am starting my own business (Not YT related). So i know the grind, well done with what you have done so far
For every 1 bad thing you gain 3 good, even works like that in my business you loose 1 customer and you gain 3 new customers. You do you and keep it up I enjoy your videos👌🏻
Since I’ve been talking about the 3s granite with 4s backflips and how much I’ve been liking it for a kcrc ramp I decided to start making a few vids to show people some possibilities . I’ve only made one but it’s a start . I think the next one will be to show the upgrades .
Nice video. Recently, i got my hands on a new rc dump truck that nobody else has yet. I posted it on a FB group and there were so many questions, that i made a small video and posted it on youtube. (I don't even like my picture taken) A short while ago, you were reviewing a small cheap car and out of the blue, you said "youtube , don't do it" ..... omg, you are so right about the idiots!!! Anyway, its not gonna get me down in any way, shape or form 😂 I think i have an idea for moving forward with my channel. (I know there is only 1 video at the moment) ...But i have a good idea and gonna try it. I bought a few rc cars... and mistakes were made. I also bought 2 terminators and 2 rogs... cause my girlfriend wanted a go on mine... hell no, so i bought her her own ones 😂 Anyway, thank you! I really enjoy your channel. Ps: i looked at the mjx website, they have a v2 10208 on the front page, and i can't figure out if its really a v2... before i buy it, I'd appreciate your opinion.
Great vid, when someone makes it look easy people assume it is 😂 it's easy to spot the real deal, keep doing you we'll keep watching. Thanks for sharing.
Not a criticism of anyone, but I would really like to see longer term reviews, how much it costs to keep it running for a month, year, 4and a half years... what repairs were necessary, at what point would you give up trying to maintain it etc. Obviously this would be very difficult to do as a starting out UA-cam channel but an occasional video of some favourites that are used regularly. I don't have any clue about how to do it. And I really struggle with seeing myself on camera I don't identify with the old sod I see.. lol. Either way I enjoy your videos, so please don't give the haters a second thought because they ain't worthy if not constructive.
You have some very good points. I think this is the first video this long I ever seen from start to finish. Its very interesting to hear your journey. Wish you the best and that your channel continue to grow. Im certain it will just grow faster and faster. Your videos is always a joy to watch. Its funny how 0 subscriber channels complaining 😆
If the haters are hating you're doing it right man! You're almost up to 50k subs, keep at it. I almost have 500 and it has been sooo much work so I understand where you're coming from!
honestly wasn't sure if this vid/the content provided was going to click with me. i stuck around, enjoyed the waffle, agreed upon many of the pointers you mentioned and had a few laughs throughout because majority of it is reality. maybe you could do the same type of video when you reach a certain milestone.. like 80000 subs or whatever number you think fits better, to see if you still think/feel the same about most of the points you made, and if you still enjoy working on this channel👍🏻😁 anyways, stay healthy, make the right choices and upload more cool vids man!
I really enjoy watching your videos. They are very informative and entertaining. Keep up the good work. Oh and yes my friend the ROG 1 is a really great 14 scale basher. I decided to purchase that truck from watching your reviews on it. Keep up the great work your videos are awesome. Thank you.
Topic suggestion for future Vlog-like videos: I would love to hear about how the RC (car)industry has changed over the years (brands, pricing, build quality, you name it). I'm only about one year into the hobby and would love to hear some thoughts from someone way more experienced.
I love your channel fella!!! You’re my 3rd favorite British RC UA-camr and don’t think that’s a knock Gavin is number 2 and Phil is number 1 so I think you’re in very good company!!! Keep up the great work!! 👍
It is a lot of work and occasionally you get the keyboard warrior trying to rain on your parade but at the end of the you see all the great comments and the number of views and watch time and it make all that worth it. I love the little community I have on my channel and talking to them all the time and seeing everyone helping each other and sharing their knowledge is just supper cool! I have always done this hobby alone 98% of the time so to now have good friends all over the world is really cool and makes me laugh off the few stray idiots that decide to chime in. I call them out or tire of them and block them so I don't fret about it but starting out it really got to me, now I laugh at them.
As a small YTber it's been an interesting journey so far learning lots of new skills in the background which are nothing to do with RC 😂... Hang in there mate success comes in many forms and the great Gary V said "your not being successful if your not receiving criticism" Keep going mate. 👍👍
Ring camera goes off... Another free RC from your sponsors Rik 🤣. Great video mate. Ignore the haters and keyboard warriors and keep doing what you do buddy. I've watched you since the early days and this channel has come on in leaps and bounds. Still remember the little desk setup you had and watching those 144001 videos that helped me so much when I was getting into this hobby!!
I get annoyed by the people that do nothing but nitpick everything I do whether it be a tutorial, or something as simple as the way I pronounce words, and you see their channel and they have no content of their own........
great video i would comment on every point but it would be a book and i think you said it best.... doing these videos being a youtuber isnt as cool as i thought and is truly alot of work
Welcome to marketing....don't stress on it you are doing a great job. Most viewers have no idea the amount of time and talent that goes into these videos. Great explanation. Can't stand the trolls with no content on their channel leaving these stupid negative comments. Punks is what they are! Your channel is one of my favorites!
Well, you're right that's why shops and companies won't work with me because I tell the truth, I say my opinions. Wheelspin Models say they won't work with me because I tell people to support their local small RC Shops, Obviously they want me to tell people to go to them rather than other shops. I've been doing UA-cam Video's since 2007. But, saying that I'd rather not have a free car because then I'm not under pressure to make it look and sound good. The one company who has taken an interest in me and helped me is AnswerRC. UA-cam is a hobby in itself for me, It's for fun alongside RC.
Fully agree mate. I find its perfectly okay to tell the truth and a lot of companies will favour honesty but some will not like it and expect you to cover over the bad bits. I find with every RC car there is good and bad and i try to cover all of that. If they dont like it i say dont send me anything else.
As a self confessed Arrma fanboy as you know mate. Your opinions on how arrma are fleecing customers due to spares prices are totally accurate. It's not hating on the cars its point out the obvious. Your honesty and integrity are at the forefront of who you are, personally knowing you. I can confirm that! Keep up the great work mate, and keep smiling. Get more Hobao on the channel, I have been converted to a Hobao fanboy now too😂😂😂👍👍👍
This was totally different to what i usually do some of you may enjoy it some may hate it but i wanted to talk about some of the struggles i go through as a RC content creator on youtube and even though its amazing getting free RC cars and products its not always as it seems.
Since then I've become a regular viewer & commenter, I've stuck with you for a reason Ricky... That's because you're a real one mate.
It's obvious to anyone with even a modicum of common sense (which isn't as common as you'd hope) 😁
I don't always agree with you but I always respect your opinion, (even if you do go on a bit 😜 😁 😂) you always seem to make a point of replying to my comments which I really do appreciate.!!
Like you say, engagement is important, it makes us feel like we're part of the channel..
I love that I've been able to feel part of your channel as its grown & improved over the years.
Your dedication, opinions, morals, integrity & personal sacrifices are truly recognised & appreciated by 99% of us mate.!
The other 1% can fudge right off.! 😉
As always, stay safe out there mate & the very best wishes from Scotland 🏴 🙏 ❤️ 📻 🕹️ 🔋 🚗 🚖 🚕 🚔 🚚 🚙 🚘 🚓 🚒 🚑 🚐 🚎 🚤 🚁 🛩️ 👍 👍 👍

You couldn't have a better channel to showcase your products than this young man! I just got my RG01, video will drop soon!
😮 wow good job
@@RedLionRC Thanks!
Great work keep it up!
@@beyondRC Thanks!
Love this! This is why i do what i do! :)
Keep up the good work man
You do a great job also! Honesty goes a long way!!
Lol, I still use my phone and a $20 clip-on mic. 🤣 Good video, honestly I'd rather watch this type of content than a car review.
Nothing wrong with that if it works it works :) Cheers much appreciated!
This is actually a really good video to put out ! Nice work mate 🔥
Appreciate it!
@@beyondRC best way i deal with any negative comments on my channel is delete them right away , never give the trolls the fuel they are after 😆
I find I tend to favour channels who find a good balance between reviews, workshop/wrenching, projects, events…… rather than those who stick to a repetitive formula.
Do it i will be watching if you do!
Keep up the good work mate. Honesty is what makes your channel great and watchable. Another thing is you are not trying to be like anybody else, unlike some !
Appreciate it :)
Love the great work keep it up!
Been following your channel for a while now. Keep going, I really enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the good work buddy.
Very true mate! its rare but it takes place. We wont put up with it but some do for the right money. See you soon!!
One of my favourite rc channels. Keep up the good work
Thanks 👍

The RC UA-cam guru 👏 here’s to 100,000 within the next four and a half years 🎉
Much appreciated 😎👍
I'm a big fan of your channel. 1st and foremost because your honesty. My channel continues to grow 2 years in. Almost to 5,000 subs. Most people don't understand how much time, money, and effort it takes to make quality videos and channel. Here is to 40,000 more subs. Cheers.
If they knew they would think twice before commenting BS im sure.. keep up the good work!
Cheers Mark!
Don’t worry about the hater’s . There just jealous & if there jealous, it only means your doing good. God bless you. Your channel is the 💣 brother
Thanks Bro
I couldn't agree more mate.! 👍 👍
Love this video mate, something different! I would like to see your full RC collection!
Hey man - please do the video like this more. Many people like me wanted to do the same and not for the money but for fun and to make this hobby more popular! Here in Ukraine it is treated like a childish hobby ((( but it is so much fun and I want to show it for everyone!!!
Keep up the good work Ricky!
You have created one of the best RC channels out there!
Thank you :)
thank you ill be saving this video to a playlist to remind me where i am..working my way to 1000, using a phone 11 and a gopro hero 4, I'm so slow at editing sometimes i struggle to face it, once i start i end up with smile...👍
Great video! So true, I remember all of the highs and lows in the beginning.
Thanks man! Good times and bad sometimes more bad than good but its all part of the experience lol!

Honesty at its finest. This is what I appreciate the most from your channel. Keep it coming mate. Cheers!
I appreciate that!
THANX !!!
Much appreciated!
Great video - very informative for small channels that haven't built up to a certain level of success yet!
Appreciate your honesty, bro🤝. Keep up the great work you do. Just keep on keeping on.
I appreciate you take time to explain /HELP. You covered so much that WE don't think of
Hi there. Total rc noob here. I think it’s good to have every now and then such Q/A videos. Doesn’t necessarily have to be live. Such videos can be longer than usual.I think you are doing well with your videos.
That said, i hope these questions can be addressed in your future videos:
1) How do you clean your RC cars?
Cheers
Great video! I couldn't have said it better myself, and for anyone just starting or thinking of starting, this is worth watching 👀 😊
I’ll throw in another vote for “we love what you’re doing, and haters are always gonna hate”
But more sincerely, I started following and continue to watch your channel because I feel you do a great job at honest and consumer minded reviews and tests.
Not even worth your time mate 👌
So ya, good work! And thank you!
I hate it when some videos over 10 minutes in and they're still pointing out pictures on the box... I be like dude just take the car out the box and show the parts right on the car! 😂😂
I love your videos. Stop letting these trolls get you down. People suck!!!
I agree with you 100%. People definitely need to take note. Great video!

@@413RC hell yeah!!!!!! I enjoy this,we need more !!!!

Rock on dude
(I don't even like my picture taken)
A short while ago, you were reviewing a small cheap car and out of the blue, you said "youtube , don't do it"
..... omg, you are so right about the idiots!!!
Anyway, its not gonna get me down in any way, shape or form 😂
I think i have an idea for moving forward with my channel. (I know there is only 1 video at the moment)
...But i have a good idea and gonna try it.
I bought a few rc cars... and mistakes were made. I also bought 2 terminators and 2 rogs... cause my girlfriend wanted a go on mine... hell no, so i bought her her own ones 😂
Anyway, thank you!
I really enjoy your channel.
Ps: i looked at the mjx website, they have a v2 10208 on the front page, and i can't figure out if its really a v2... before i buy it, I'd appreciate your opinion.
Love your work Ricky, bugger the haters! Just keep doing what you do mate.
Great vid, when someone makes it look easy people assume it is 😂 it's easy to spot the real deal, keep doing you we'll keep watching. Thanks for sharing.
Appreciate all of your videos man, thank you 🍻
Not a criticism of anyone, but I would really like to see longer term reviews, how much it costs to keep it running for a month, year, 4and a half years... what repairs were necessary, at what point would you give up trying to maintain it etc.
Thank you :) its always the 0 channels hahaha if they know best why dont they make vids! LOL!
Good stuff man. Appreciate the honesty.
If the haters are hating you're doing it right man! You're almost up to 50k subs, keep at it. I almost have 500 and it has been sooo much work so I understand where you're coming from!
honestly wasn't sure if this vid/the content provided was going to click with me.
i stuck around, enjoyed the waffle, agreed upon many of the pointers you mentioned and had a few laughs throughout because majority of it is reality.
maybe you could do the same type of video when you reach a certain milestone.. like 80000 subs or whatever number you think fits better, to see if you still think/feel the same about most of the points you made, and if you still enjoy working on this channel👍🏻😁
anyways, stay healthy, make the right choices and upload more cool vids man!
yeah its not something i would do all the time but yeah maybe 80k :)

I enjoy wot u do, I'll keep watching 😊
Topic suggestion for future Vlog-like videos: I would love to hear about how the RC (car)industry has changed over the years (brands, pricing, build quality, you name it). I'm only about one year into the hobby and would love to hear some thoughts from someone way more experienced.
I love your channel fella!!! You’re my 3rd favorite British RC UA-camr and don’t think that’s a knock Gavin is number 2 and Phil is number 1 so I think you’re in very good company!!! Keep up the great work!! 👍
cheers mate much appreciated.
Its good to have a nice rant... it can help everyone take a step and think
Keep doing what you are doing mate been watching you for a couple of years now.

As a small YTber it's been an interesting journey so far learning lots of new skills in the background which are nothing to do with RC 😂... Hang in there mate success comes in many forms and the great Gary V said "your not being successful if your not receiving criticism"
Keep going mate. 👍👍

great video i would comment on every point but it would be a book and i think you said it best.... doing these videos being a youtuber isnt as cool as i thought and is truly alot of work
Welcome to marketing....don't stress on it you are doing a great job. Most viewers have no idea the amount of time and talent that goes into these videos. Great explanation. Can't stand the trolls with no content on their channel leaving these stupid negative comments. Punks is what they are! Your channel is one of my favorites!
Great video man!
I cant believe ive just stumbled on your channel after all this time..just suscribed👍
Nice video mate, i appreciate the advice , great chat.
100% spot on.
As a self confessed Arrma fanboy as you know mate.
Your opinions on how arrma are fleecing customers due to spares prices are totally accurate.
