I took oil heating in 1993. They weren't hiring back then. They were actually laying off due to the economy. Now I guess the average age of HVAC tech is 56 years old. They must have lost loads of good techs back then.
Nice change of scenery great video and explanation on the boiler system . I always wanted to learn and be able to work on boiler . I'm from the Washington DC area and there's still a lot of them around and in the Baltimore area
When their’s no air port on the exp. tank you have to literally blow through your hose to add air and get the water out.. not the best time but it works 👌 I work in a city full of old boilers, hydronic calls in the winter are the best... Also awesome video man! Huge fan of the channel
A nice set of picks with different angles will help pulling that orifice thimble out. I also carry couple of different size sewing needles. Always come in handy in cleaning the orifice if unable to remove from pilot assembly.
Hey brother thanks for sharing your videos, I'm new to the trade here in Chicago, you know we got a lot of those boilers and they got me in maintenance, I was wondering what kind of Vacuum you use in your video, its looks very professional my man! let me know I'll appreciate it my dude!
Thanks for the video. I was trying to solve my own problem here in NYC. I have a Weil McNail CGA Gold boiler and its not working. The boiler is making a clicking noise with two red lights blinking in the electric module. Do you know what might the reason be? Thanks again!
That air intake is usually built into that valve. You really should replace that romex wire tie wrapped to the gas pipe. Should be a MC or armor flex cable or EMT pipe.
What is your professional name for the service that you performed here? And how much does that level of thorough service cost to someone who's not your cousin in the year 2022?
Another winner! Very cool old house, keep up the good work!
Thank you!
Your the new UA-cam 🤴 great work. Next level productions

You performed a maintenance just like I would do on a boiler. Great job, I do miss working on boilers. Not many down here in NC.

Boiler techs are tied up around here, so I am watching this due to our boiler starting and stopping. Flame sensor is probably dirty.

That boiler looks a little small for those huge cast iron radiators. Does the water temp even make it to 180 degrees?
Yes last winter I went to help him bleed out radiators and it was set to 210 I set it to 180
