So in this version Raynor didn't save Mengsk, but simply kidnapped him. LOL.
Everybody says their catchphrases and calls it a day. The prime example of informative and effective briefing.
Thats what I call briefing, boy!
A briefing made entirely of memes.
4:53 Poor UED Captain having to deal with another lecture of disappointment from Admiral DuGalle.
Mengsk's wraiths left on Korhal:
'Enemies flagship is still in our range. Shouldn't we fight it?'
'Nah. Our emperor is gone, and we're done here. Let's go home now.'
'We ARE home'
@@38procentkrytyk
"Yes but we don't have the Emperor. See, if we had the Emperor but not home or if we're home but not have the Emperor, we can't do anything."
@@stylesrj 'we can get a new Emperor. Steve is in the toilet, when he returns he won't be busy'
the emperor gets kidnapped.
wraiths: "So I says, answer that and stay fashionable."
-" it's not funny anymore Harly."
Dugalle AI sounds bad because the noise in the background ruins the cloning.
What exactly do you mean by background voice?
@@joonjoon819 I meant to say noise. If you listen Dugalle's speeches you will hear noise in the background.
did u add music to the video? or is it the in-game mission?
@@PeterMc-ek8or I added that with the video editing.
@@ExecutorNral
Ah. Damn.
1:25 attacking bunkers with ghost, this is a true "where do you study tactics" moment.
The UED Captain could not catch a single break after suffering from multiple defeats. Thanks Nral for the upload.
The Captain was just commanding his troops like I was doing back when I first played these Korhal invasion maps on the N64 :)
He will learn tactics and discipline, become stronger and come back for revenge.
Starcraft 3: Return of the Captain.
Rest assured, soon he will learn from his errors, and deliver some good-old fashioned discipline against the Queen of Simps.
One more mistake and they will public execute him
@@KaiserMattTygore927there was a Starcraft game on N64?
Mengsk: Gentlemen, the UED have been weakened, but I fear we have sustained severe damage ourselves. I will steer the Norad III into a collision course with the Aleksander. If I can channel enough of the Battlecruiser's energy into the Yamato cannon of the Norad III, I should be able to bring swift death to these fringe-world yokels. Remember us, Sons of Korhal, remember what was done here today. May God watch over you all.
DuGalle: OHHH PUTAIN-
Raynor: You'll have to suspend those plans, gentlemen.
Raynor can't help but interrupt Mengsk even when he's making the ULTIMATE Sacrifice.
I'm French, and I approuve that "Oh putain !"
ah bordel
Raynor ruining Mengsk's victory over the UED Expeditionary Fleet on purpose, lol.
'By tomorrow the United Earth Directorate will be nothing more than a bad memory.'
"Ha, the man who crowns himself Emperor speaks to me of daring!" - Jim Raynor
Next Mission:
Kerrigan "The UED are a major threat and are planning to take over the sector, starting with taking control of the Overmind. They need to be eliminated. You know I'm right Jim"
Raynor (Oh shit! Mengsk was literally about to capture and execute their General before I kidnapped him. I better just play along)
Yeah? I don't know...
"SHE'S A GODDAMN TELEPATH! SHE READED YOUR MIND AND SHE'S DESTROYING THE GODDAMN NORAD III, WE NEED REINFORCEMENT'S NO -"
This is even more impressive battle than I remember from the campaign
Its any reverse map in sc)
I really wanted a briefing for this (or the last mission?) where Mengsk goes "do not hesitate to use nukes on them" to mirror the original UED briefing.
That would have been fitting
I love how ending makes more sense than Raynor saving Mengsk.
You'd think the Protoss could solve a lot of their problems if they could just strategically recall targets of interest into their desired location (like a deathtrap or prison area).
Hey, if it isn't the mapmaker himself. I've tried playing a few maps and while the maps themselves are good, I really think you should try to add new transmissions and briefings that match what the enemies would talk about, kinda like what Nral has done with these briefings. Having them say unrelated transmissions from other parts of the game makes them dull. I would say even text-only custom briefings and transmissions would be better than reusing lines.
@@xetanth87 Sound Editing isn't something I really do at all. It actually takes me longer to add/modify the sounds than it does to make the entire map (although I have gotten better recently). Most maps I make (probably like 100+) are not released because their quality is bad IMO. These sets of maps I decided to add more effort because I decided that other people would probably enjoy playing them to a degree. I listed in my post that I'm okay with people modifying said maps and reuploading them with modifications (as they are all modifiable).
Modifying sounds and cutscenes is just extremely tedious for me so some are definitely lacking (especially with less voicelines in SC1). The project overall took only 4 months of making and testing for both the original and BW versions during the summer. On the bright side, Executor Nral is pretty good at the stuff I generally dislike such as cutscenes and voice/splicing, along with AI voicing. He stated he'll upload a modified version of this campaign after he has finished it (if you are willing to wait). Thanks for the suggestions though as I do acknowledge there are problems with the campaign.
Most problematic stuff I see:
1) To ensure the AI can actually "kill" the player, the same AI is often used for most missions. During the final two BW campaign, I tried adding a bit more variety but it is still somewhat lacking. Also makes the AI have access to high-tech units early.
2) Sound effects, transmissions, and cutscenes. A lot of missions just kinda end without a cutscene too, but original Starcraft kinda did this too until later.
Some of this I tried to fixed with forced triggers but a lot of the issues such as AI and sound stuff just comes to my inexperience (or impatience) to do it. Ironically, I don't actually have the maps and had to redownload them funny enough.
There were some major bugs there were originally fixed though (old posts show the AI spamming Command Centers, and the player's base use to mirror how the AI was set-up in the original game, which caused terribly inefficient mining).
I think the best thing that could happen for the campaign would be if someone more experienced with modding/EUDs/memory manipulation added custom AIs so attacks waves were more unique. Sound VFX probably would be the next best thing after that (originally, there wasn't suppose to be any plot but Nral somehow made one)
Tactics and good old-fashioned discipline go hand in hand
Essentially Raynor saved Dugalle from Mengsk from utter destruction
Duke's definition for "tactics" is very vague, but it's all good as it works every time.
Obviously the Captain didn't study tactics very well. And he won't be getting any old fashioned discipline despite being in need of it.
Next, we play as the Protoss, and deal with the double threat of the UED and the Zerg.
*_"Captain was grounded for a week afterwards; while being lectured tactics by Vice-Admiral Stukov, Lt. Duran was watching the whole thing from the dark corner..."_*
The UED be taking Ls
If you will read this you havent done any videos about medics and overmind, you can use this idea when you will run out of them (I mean the situation when as UED you bring 4 medic to overmind, and you've can have dialog between them, and name video something like this "medic feeding drugs to overmind" :D) or I have 2rd idea for vid that when kerrigan says she needs evac, she realises that she have 30 sidge tank near zerg that kill litterally every zerg that comes near
I love how this channel has evolved SC1 shitposting from memes to entire missions being rewritten as a shitpost
God I love this
Being able to seamlessly choose either mission type is a nice feature. Though I do have to wonder if the nuclear strike opening would have had much better success at the start compared to all those BC's getting immediately lockdowned.
The AI is damaged more severely (less starting structure) but they become more aggressive as in attacking more often and rebuilding/building defenses. (basically difference between AI scripts)
"I'm pulling your ass *into* the fire, Arcturus" :D
Briefing:
Tactics, boi!
End of briefing
It’d have been funnier if Raynor and the Protoss had just killed Mengsk and DuGalle. Just straight up Yamatos the Norad, and listens to DuGalle praise and thank him, just letting DuGalle distract himself while he waits several decades for the Hyperion to regain its energy before proceeding to Yamato the Aleksander
The Man has spoiled Mengsk's victory. Raynor should've been lectured about the human's original spawn location, Earth.
with edmund duke forever around, of course they emerged victorious
“Ha! The one who invaded our sector and stole our capital ships accuses me of daring?! You’ve far-overstayed your welcome, Citizen Dugalle. Commander, prepare to take the admiral into custody.”
I was a bit disappointed by the lack of choice in the previous mission, but I'm glad it's back in this one !
Edmund Duke's victory over the UED would be taught in all Dominion military training facilities in the sector. Allowing all the proud Sons of Korhal to study tactics from the great mind behind Alpha Squadron.
I agree with DuGalle, the Captain did not study his tactics, boy
Where did you study tactics, captain??
These missions look so damn difficult.
4:15 THE MAN
raynor : I am the man
ohh looks like dugalle werent too happy about the captain tactics
Aww missed opportunity. Imagine the plot twist if Raynor would had been accompanied by 10 mutalisks...
That would be legit cool if we could develop Infested Kerrigan-Raynor relation long before True Colours.
The end tho :D
❤❤❤
The Royal Defense Force are doing good job🎉Now Mengsk pull a uno reverse card on DuGalle in "parley session"😂
But Jimmy must be drunk now, didnt he see Mengsk on the winning?😂
I love that you included Korhal theme, it sound so epic, imperial and royalty, yet emergengy.
I think Kerrigan wants Mengsk to fail, so he has to strike a deal with her. Stukov still has the psi-disruptor that she'll need to destroy, and so she needs to put Mengsk in a position where he'll have to trade his psi-emitters. Furthermore, the UED have not captured the Overmind yet, and pumped it full of drugs to make it weak and docile. Slaying the Overmind while it is under UED control, instead of Daggoth, must have seemed the safer option. Because Daggoth better understands zerg warfare, while the UED need dedicated specialists to monitor the slave broods.
@@cdcdrr UED failed to retrieve psi disruptor, mate.
what's the name of the music piece in the start? I heard it before in starcraft2 but don't remember where exactly
Jimmy took advantage of the situation, he really is learning a lot from his girlfriend isn't he?
Dugalle is beyond pissed btw.
That's the worst ̶p̶i̶r̶a̶t̶e̶ Captain i've ever seen.
With Mengsk kidnapped by Raynor with protoss aid, Korhal is now leaderless, victory for the UED, I think...?
This is gonna be bad for PR on the UED back home.
There were a couple lines where DuGalle's AI sounded really off. But then got better in the end when he goes back to discuss tactics with the Captain. Although it's been a while since I've played. Was that cloned too, or was it an OG voice line that was repurposed?
Yeah, the last one isn't AI, it's sentence mixing.
@@ExecutorNral That's unfortunate. Then I guess that means the cloning was really botched. It does get affected by background sounds and other factors. Let's just say I tried to clone Sgt. Dornan from Fallout and it ended up terrible. 😢
Will Mengsk run away from Jim by run into Kerrigan, through a Protoss portal??
DuGalle’s AI voice is…rough.
Did they fail though? Mengsk isn't there anymore.
I see the UED cv didn't include tactics.
Raynor hates Mengsk for Kerrigan, but this time he tags with Mengsk and save Dugalle?
I wonder what is coming in the next mission
I've made this mission using nuclear silos, but I think there is a bug.
When you destroy DuGalle's Command Centre, game's crash and don't make you see the ending scene when Raynor fly away with Mengks.
This don't happen when you use BTC.
Is just a problem of mine or even you discovered this bug?
Now, UED has known the fury of Dominion good ol' fashion discipline armada.
You know this really irks me thinking of how much SC2 just doesnt make any fucking sense both Kerrigan and Raynor had Mengsk at their mercy and they let him live while also giving him back the dominion. At that point they were over him and didnt really care anymore about the shit he pulled. It feels like SC2 was written by talentless idiots who didnt understand the first game at all and spent 2 entire games on a fake plot they made up to pad the game because they didnt have the talent to write the main plot of Narud, Hybids and Amon. Basically this is a constant with acti-blizzard post merger since 2008. Diablo 2 didnt really need a sequel but Starcraft did and they completely bungled it.
