Hi Nelle! I’ve been watching your videos since I found your channel last week. They’re really great! I have a unilateral hearing loss due to a Cholesteatoma. I had 2 ear surgeries this year to address the issues that brought along with it. My HL journey sort of catapulted me into the Hearing Care world because I find it fascinating. So much so that I decided to change my career! So, I’m currently in school to earn my license in Hearing Aid dispensing! It’s really interesting and quite valuable to listen to your experience with your cochlear implant. Thank you for sharing with us! I hope you’re able to get your second one too 🙂
Hi nelle🦻welcome again to you new/old channel,I cannot believe how long ago the first video was!being a hearing aid wearer with a profound loss I thought I could give advice to someone newly deafend and wearing hearing aids for the first,having things in your ears all day and everyday must have been a shock,the good news was you got fast tracked for a CI,everytime i see a new video it reminds me to contribute to your go fund me page for a 2nd CI as the NHS will only fund one,you are within touching distance at £27K it will make your life so much better,you will be a full cyborg with 2 CI's so I look forward to following your journey with the small knowledge I have helped you! At 21 having lost the majority of your hearing must have been really hard to take,it's good you have parents that want to help you! Here's to your next CI surgery and hearing things you miss 🦻🦻🌹♥️
