As much as I have always loved fashion, I think I’ve really struggled to establish my personal style because for a long time I either didn’t know what I wanted / who I was, or just didn’t really like myself. The more I’ve worked on finding things I can like about myself and finding my own unique attributes that others recognize me for, the better my style has gotten. It also helps to document outfits often and look at what is or isn’t working after the fact.
This makes so much sense! I also note details like metals in accessories (bags, shoes), and match my jewelry to that. I also find it distracting, clashing, when it’s not matched!
totally! when you mix silver and gold they just dim each other out that nothing pops out if that makes sense and brown and black can totally work! I know from experience
Amazing advise! Thank you so much for sharing. For me also these tips were helpful: 1. choosing between warm tones or cool tones for the outfit. Match warm with warm, cool tones with cool. 2. Do not match clear white with off white or cream color. Just pick one of them or it will look dirty. 3. Choosing plain no prints clothes. No busy ornaments/prints. They’re so much more easier to combine and the outfit looks clean, expensive and eye catching, rather than too busy and over stimulating the eye. 4. Picking a celebrity that looks like you and taking styling inspiration from them, because they experiment a lot with their style so you can chose the best out of it and 90% this outfit/makeup/nails will look good on you.
Absolutely agree, my mom is a literally fashion Icon, she had a high fashion store in her 20ies and she always used to say „you gotta repeat the color“
I used to have amazing style but due to circumstance I was told to go to a hostel, being very vulnerable I did it / had everything stolen and now I’m waiting for an address so I can reinvent myself again, very excited but you have to be careful because not everyone wants to see you be your best self & people do steal identities as well, that’s not something I ever knew much about until experiencing what I’ve experienced.. we live in a scary world and fashion is fun and happy but not everyone works in it or loves it for the right reasons unfortunately:(
Some might say that you are a true fashion girlie if you mix your metals and if you mix black with navy or brown. Hmm I dunno. I think it can work! For those that need help I do stand by the matchy matchy. 😊
Is about the texture of the blue jeans, and the fact they are a basic statement pice of clothing, that makes them somehow neutral. Thats what I think ..
I’m not a fashionista in the slightest, I’m kind of all over the place with what I wear, but I always match my metals & it makes every outfit just that much more cohesive with minimal effort
Wow watching this for 3d time now in 2 months just to really take in the advice 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 and lowkey feel more fashionable and pretty and together eversince 😌.... never delete this gate keeping video ever!! Love you
my skin can handle mix metals, i wear gold and silver on a daily. a red leather jacket looks great with black leather boots. all the rules you insisted arent that significant to determine if the ensemble looks good.

I unintentionally do this with matching my top and shoes. Which is why I have been wearing neutral color shoes lately

I feel like navy is also part of the black/brown spectrum

blue is a neutral colour when its jeans someone explain that.
My theory is that we've seen people wear blue jeans so often throughout history that we've become acclimated to it.
@@The4SK02I agree but also I think most consider it a type of fabric yk?
Bc it's such an everyday seen all over clothing item that we associate jeans as a basic item.

it’s like how plants always look good in a home even if there’s no green anywhere else
I wasn't sure which colors to choose to buy socks. Gonna just pair them with my scarfs)

you’re awesome. And f*cking hilarious. Great advice 😎
mixing metals is crazy to me, i don’t know how people do it 😭
I get the not mixing metals thing. I notice my skin tone and my style def work with mixing metals - I wear it all at once
I’m not a fashionista in the slightest, I’m kind of all over the place with what I wear, but I always match my metals & it makes every outfit just that much more cohesive with minimal effort

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. DO NOT MIX YOUR METALS OR YOUR LEATHERS. IF ITS SILVER, WEAR SILVER. IF THE SHOES ARE BROWN. KEEP IT BROWN.
