I moved to Tokyo just about 2 months ago and I still haven't gotten the hang of exploring especially by myself, but these tours help so much!! Thank you thank you for these little peeks into your adventures and I'm definitely picking up tips on the way too 🐷💕
Yes it it 💯 intimidating to explode alone, so don’t feel rushed or anything. Just the train stations alone take like a year to master. And still I catch the wrong train from time to time. Just explore your local area until you’re super comfy and then start spreading our your wings! That’s my suggestion 💕

OMG! This is the first and only channel that I leave the adds on! It just make me feel like a child watching the TV again Thank you for your amazing and hard work!!
Ahhhh exactly what I was going for! I was 100% inspired by the Sailor Moon and Pokémon pre-commercial screens and post-commercial screens! I know that ads are where I make income as a video creator, but at the same time, I’ve struggled with how irritating it is to watch a UA-cam video and have the ad ruin the flow and feeling, so I wanted to find some middle ground. Give something to the audience to think about (the trivia) while a “commercial break” let’s you pee and grab some snack 😂 and you can return to the show for the answer!
These videos are always so cute. I get so excited every time I get the notifications. And as a huge fan of the food videos, these are IT!!!! Love the hair too.

I get so excited to see your new videos, but always save them for a day where I can serially enjoy them (vs days where I'm running around doing multiple things at once). It's like sitting down and catching up with an old friend. ❤️
Wandering on non-tourist paths is what I love doing on vacations. When my bf and I went to San Francisco, we tried to experience SF like someone living and working there while most tourists go straight to Fisherman’s Warf. It was a weekday and the lunch hour just hit. We were on Kearny St where everybody was coming down from the big buildings to go get lunch. We saw which places had lines out the door. Pretty much we were soaking in the energy of the people going to lunch and we were picturing where we’d be going if we were them (obviously trying not to get in their way since they are working and we were two tourists observing busy people go eat). Your trip to the curry place reminded me of our SF trip because it was the Japanese curry shop that had the long line out the door and people walking out with cardboard boxes of several orders going back to the skyscrapers. It smelled so good. The line was way too long and we really didn’t want to obstruct people going back to work so we had to skip the curry place. But ever since then thankfully more and more Japanese curry shops have been popping up all around. But they’re nowhere near the beauty of Young’s Curry and omg that amazing shiny egg WOW! Anyway thank you for these amazing tour videos of Tokyo. And thank you for keeping “Godzilla bites” alive 😬
I really love the editing Martina! especially the cute animations, transitions and the fun slides for learning Japanese words! Tbh haven't watched you since you were in Korea so I'm happy to see you enjoying your time in Japan! I'm really loving your content for King Kogi! Also that curry plate looks amazing 🤩

Merci Cat~ a very encouraging comment, I'll keep being myself ps-> couldn't visit Québec while back in Canada due to Covid, but I hope to visit next time. Some Japanese friends moved to Montreal, and I couldn't believe I didn't get the chance to reunite 😭
Wow this video was so professional but with a lot more charm than you see on television/streaming nowadays. Reminds me of travel shows and random segment shows I’d find flipping channels in the early 2000’s that had a studio behind them but still felt intimate/indie. You can just tell when creators care about a project.
First of all, your hair is stunning 💜💗 Second of all, I love this Tokyo Tours series And third, the part when you were taking pictures of recycling bins and the vending machines is so relatable. I also enjoy taking pictures of simple daily items that people tend to overlook when I travel. Objects like stoplights, air conditioning units, construction signs in different languages that I can't even try to read! It's little things like that that I appreciate when I travel because it really gives character to the streets/ neighbourhood and it's fun to compare to the city where I live in now, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way Thank you for another wonderful Tokyo Tours episode 💕
My boyfriend and I want to go to Japan soon, and my least favorite thing is to follow tourist-y places (aka TripAdvisor, etc) so you’re videos are the perfect tour guide!

Ok, first of all, gorgeous filming. So crisp and color saturated. This new series Tokyo Tours is such a vibe. Been watching since EYK days and Tokyo Tours captures that quirky relaxing energy of then but also succeeds in being its own thing entirely. Totally agree about your comment about the greeness of Tokyo. The first time I visited, I was immediately struck by how the city was organized from major thoroughfare down to little pedestrian lane allowing you at the same time to be right in the thick of it all but be in a peaceful cozy neighborhood. Martina, you should be really proud about how King Kogi is coming along. Ya killin' it! 😁♥️👍🏼
It's funny when you don't try to look for something it shows up multiple times! (referencing the CROD stickers). I will also take photos of recycling bins when I see how neatly stacked they are! Love this episode! Light Up coffee making an appearance again too! You hit everything I like, Japanese curry, coffee and cream puffs! Yum!

How did you move there when the boarder was closed?
I can't wait to watch this video!
My mom and I have been binging all your videos on King Kogi. Since my mother is essentially a Caribbean version of you, she was obsessed with the green skirt you were wearing in your first Toyko Tours video. May I ask where you bought it?
Much Love 💜🐷💜
I bought it on Etsy from a seamstress years and years ago but when I looked up her shop to share the link, it seems she has shut her store! I'm sorry 😅 please say hello to your mom from me~
Martina, idk if you will read this but your King Kogi videos have been my emotional support for a while now. Thank you. Whenever i watch you, it's like my worries go away. Very therapeutic! ❤
Ahhh! I love this series. Wandering and taking in these small city moments are some of my favorite activities! I can’t wait to see where else you take us. Here’s to overpasses and squares!
OMG! This is the first and only channel that I leave the adds on! It just make me feel like a child watching the TV again
Thank you for your amazing and hard work!!
Omg yayayay Dan the cameraman!! This video makes me so happy seeing you so happy and exploring Japan again 🥰
Awesome video to relax to right before bed. Hi from Toronto, hope everyone is having an awesome day.
These videos are always so cute. I get so excited every time I get the notifications. And as a huge fan of the food videos, these are IT!!!! Love the hair too.
I thought that was Dan's hand! Esp the thumbs up! I'm so glad he's back again and helping out with the channel!
Thank you for your help, Dan! Lovely video as always Martina!
I'll pass on the comment *screen shot and text* he's got a great eye for cinematography and he's very patient with my rambling on about tiny things like CROD haha 😂
Thanks! Love this content! Wonderfully put together! I have always loved your content of exploration, food, and just living in Japan!
Thank you so much Gfunk~ that is so kind of you and I'm so glad you're enjoying the new content
These videos bring me such immense joy. I started watching in middle school and am getting ready to start my senior year this year. I have LOVED watching you and your content grow and change over the years. You are such a bright light in a world of darkness. I appreciate you and your content more than you’ll ever know, Thank you🤍
1:48 made me chuckle because the tool you're thinking of is called a Level.
What's it called... the thing that levels..
Me: A level?
😅😅
Hello there!!
Hello KAM~
髪色が活きてる髪型とってもかわいい💕です
I’ve been watching you since I was in middle school! I am now 22 🤣💜💚 you continually inspire me everyday! Thank you for being my light in such dark times!! Your amazing Martina!!!
sneaky Tokyo is Yours shot... GORGEOUS
Hey Martina,
I’ve been watching you for the past 10 years or so, and just wanted to say that I’m loving all this new content and seeing you beautiful face! I’ve always been inspired by you. Keep it up ❤️❤️
Sending you love and support for Alaska
Gosh this made me happy. All the best vibes. Thank you Martina, thank you King Kogi, thank you mystery camera guy. Thank you!!!
I love the relaxed exploration shown in the Tokyo Tours. It makes every day, even where I am across the ocean, feel full of possibility for joy.
I really enjoy your filming style and how creative you got with your photography shots! I can tell you are trying out new styles and it's working for you
SO EXCITING! Perfect video to unwind tonight
YESSS TOKYO TOURS!!!
My chronic pain flared up right when I was trying to fall asleep so this video showed up at the perfect time!! I love your Tokyo tours series so much 💜💜💜
Ah I’m so sorry 😞 today is a big flare day for me too, I’ve been pushing myself a bit too hard and the weather is S H I T so I feel your pain. I hope I was able to give you a few smiles and a bit of a distraction 💕
I get so excited to see your new videos, but always save them for a day where I can serially enjoy them (vs days where I'm running around doing multiple things at once). It's like sitting down and catching up with an old friend. ❤️
Really enjoy these slower-paced exploring videos.
It also proves you can always find tiny gems in less crowded neighbourhoods, wherever you are
Really enjoying these videos. Very rarely see others film in a way that I explore places. It is so fun!
I glad that you are living your best life in Japan!
I discovered Japanese curry thanks to Martina years ago now is a staple food in my house, my kids love it!!
There is nothing better for my mental health then a King Kogi Adventure! ✨😋💕🌸🐷
This area is so lively with all the people walking about and hanging out in parks and near shops and restaurants.
Your videos have the best vibes ❤️
This was fuwa-ing cute! Thank you
I havent watched you in years! I had to go back and see what happened. Glad to see you thriving!
Welcome to the King Kogi channel, hope you enjoy my new vibe and videos~
Dang, you gotta start an IRL stream going through all these places :D!
With the internet speed in Japan, it is tempting~
Nice to see these quiet charming Tokyo neighbourhoods!
Love these videos! Hope you are doing well, Martina!
I genuinely wish I could go on these fun explorations with her! Martina seems like the kind of person who’d be so fun to hang out with! She’d also be really understanding when I need to sit frequently due to my chronic back pain!
J'adore your solo stuff Martina!!! I'm so excited everytime to see what you have in-store for us. You're a breath of fresh air! Continues ce que tu fais c'est savoureux! Allô de Québec!!! 😘😘😘
Merci Cat~ a very encouraging comment, I'll keep being myself ps-> couldn't visit Québec while back in Canada due to Covid, but I hope to visit next time. Some Japanese friends moved to Montreal, and I couldn't believe I didn't get the chance to reunite 😭
@@KingKogi I have no doubt! You will find lots of treasures and adventures in la Vieille-Capitale!!! Prends soin de toi Martina! On t'aime!
Wow this video was so professional but with a lot more charm than you see on television/streaming nowadays. Reminds me of travel shows and random segment shows I’d find flipping channels in the early 2000’s that had a studio behind them but still felt intimate/indie. You can just tell when creators care about a project.
Thank you for posting this I needed this.
First of all, your hair is stunning 💜💗
Second of all, I love this Tokyo Tours series
And third, the part when you were taking pictures of recycling bins and the vending machines is so relatable. I also enjoy taking pictures of simple daily items that people tend to overlook when I travel. Objects like stoplights, air conditioning units, construction signs in different languages that I can't even try to read! It's little things like that that I appreciate when I travel because it really gives character to the streets/ neighbourhood and it's fun to compare to the city where I live in now, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way
Thank you for another wonderful Tokyo Tours episode 💕
My boyfriend and I want to go to Japan soon, and my least favorite thing is to follow tourist-y places (aka TripAdvisor, etc) so you’re videos are the perfect tour guide!
it makes my heart so happy to see people genuinely enjoying to share things about their business with you. little stories and facts.
I smiled so much while watching this video, Martina you are a true artist
I've missed this content so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️ so happy, fun, and comforting
Hi Martina :) just wanted to say I’ve been loving your content recently!! I’ve been watching since 2011 and it’s so nice to see you finding your stride on this channel 💖 big love for always!
Dear Martina, this is THE format. Thank you. I hope you can keep making this and having fun.
I mentioned a few videos ago that I was watching while I was in labor. Well, my daughter, Georgiana Martine arrived, shortly after! Yup, Martine (because Martina would sound awkward with Georgiana). You're an inspiration and I hope my Georgie grows up to be positive and strong, like you! ❤️
Oh wow, congratulations!
I remember those Totoro cream puffs from long ago 🌸
Always appreciate the effort put into your videos Martina! Who helps you film?
Yum!
Hello Martina! I'm a fan from Indonesia. I REALLY LOVE this kind of your videos. Thank you for always reminding me to appreciate every little things around us. I used to feel bored all the time doing routines, but apparently if we stops a while and see things more closely and diffrently the world doesn't seems so bad. Thank you and keep going! I hope someday I'll meet you and give you a big hug!
Love this series!
Your hair!! It’s so cute!! I love all of your videos lately, your excitement over everything is jugar the serotonin I needed ✨🐷
Yay!! I get so happy when I see you've posted! I actually turned off a BTS video to watch this!!! 💜💜💜💜
OH MY GOSH thank you for the great honour~
And I see new camera goodies! That tilt shift footage is gorgeous!!!
Keep up the great vibes👍👍
I have never been this early! Ohaiyo Martina!!!
Hi Sue! Had a nice breakfast just before publishing with natto, rice, and eggs. It was a good ohaiyo indeed.
@@KingKogi omg! I’m still scared of trying natto. Shall get it from DONKI one day! Can’t wait to visit Japan when it’s open someday. :) have a great week ahead🤗
I wish you were a tour guide i feel like you would be the besttttt
omg im EARLYYYYY THANKS FOR THE NEW VIDEO MARTINA!!!!
You continue to surpass your excellence, Martina, every time. Beautiful, authentic, captivating.
I am so happy to see Martina doing what she does best. Also very curious who Hand-san is. I'm glad she has someone to help her film.
