All GEnx engines on 787 have spinners but what they don't have is paint on 'em. The spinner cone help redirect incoming stuff (such as air, FOD, rain etc) into the bypass flow keeping it away from the core. The stripes painted on the cones are primarily for ground crews. I think boeing/GEnx eliminated painting the cones due to the fact that paint can slightly ruin the aerodynamic flow of air to the fan blade which cause more fuel to burn...
Lovely video. Beautiful airplane. So quiet in operation. Best airplane in the world the 787.
Wow! very good quality video! The engine and the wing are the best parts of Dreamliner! Hope you did enjoy your flight on this bird!
Great video. I flew on one for the first time the other day from ORD-IAH. Loved every minute of it.
Very Nice
Great video such a fantastic airplane

I went on a china southern one 2 weeks ago...amazing..although their GE engines didn't have spinners
I work in the factory where the GEnx is built. One hell of an engine. Although the program seems a bit rushed at times.
Is the GEnX similar to the older bigger Ge90?
Its more fuel efficient.
Landyacht is it practically a more fuel efficient GE90? With improvements like composites and the latest TAPS etc....? What about the GE9X?
Liked! :-) Subbed too! 787 is a great plane!
nice aircraft jst increase its height later
