Almost 40k! Could you provide some amazon affiliate links for the office chairs you bought and tables? (How are the chairs? Would you recommend them? ) :)
I love the transparency. I havw started sharing my debt free journey full transparency as well. It is very important to keep talkimg about money, so it stops being a taboo! My savings rate is soo much lower than what I want, but Im throwing everything at debt! cant wait to get rid of it so I can save and invest!! Awesome content!!
Since discovering you both on the CNBC Make It Video you both did so happy you both are doing well! I hope one day I get to meet you both as I live in Toronto myself! God Bless and keep on smiling and shining both of you! :)
Currently working for Rogers in Montreal, I confirm that you can call the retention service of the cell phone company you are currently with and they can give you a special plan or up to an equivalent of about 25% off your current plan if you are a loyal customer :)
I’m so glad to find your channel! My bf and I are in the US but want to immigrate to Toronto and this helps us get a much better idea of expenses and to save up! Love how easy you make budgeting feel

Hey guys awesome video - I'm with Freedom mobile ($50/M for 15GB and unlimited everything). Was still way cheaper than any corporate plan i got offered. Service is great. Could help you save $678/year!! Otherwise great work guys - keep it up!!
Hi! We have a video about how to start active investing (it's called 'Trading vs Investing...'). We hope that helps! Also, there's no minimum with Wealthsimple trade 😊
i'm a big traveler and spent a lot going out every weekend the past several years, so by default i'm saving WAYYY more this year due to covid restrictions. Let's hope i can keep it up a bit once things reopen
Thanks so much! Good question 😉 Aritzia! The green sweater in the thumbnail is the Mega Crewneck and the black long sleeve is the ‘Go To’ shirt, I love it (the t-shirt version is great, too)
are you sure you cant bring down your internet costs? what about beanfield, fibrestream etc? they have good service (downtown) and are cheaper than the bigger providers.
Have you considered Sinking Funds? It might help you plan around those bigger infrequent expenses (furniture, beauty hauls, yearly insurance premiums, etc) that don't cleanly fit in your monthly budget. Here's a link to a Mint article with more details --> mint.intuit.com/blog/planning/what-is-a-sinking-fund/
Hey Siti! It’s definitely a good option if you want that structure in your budget! In my case I don’t ‘need’ that - sinking funds ‘let’ you spend after you reach your savings goal, but my goal is to save as much as possible as opposed to a set number 😊
Hi from Frankfurt, Germany. I am a teacher at an International school and my saving goal over the next 12 months is 14,000 Euros. As a single man this would mean saving 25% of my earnings.
How much are you saving this year?! Let us know!🙂⬇️
I would love to have a couple thousands by the end of the year. Your video is so financial goals for me!
That’s awesome, you’ve got this! ✨

I’ve always aimed to save 50% of my income too, hard to get there but so worth it if you can make it happen. Good work staying on track!
Thank you! 😊
Keep going y’all , I just paid off my student loan and I’m 45 🤪, but debt free and investing over the couple of months 👍🏾

Hi what's the best way to start buying or investing stocks? Also what's the lowest you can put into starting your portfolio on wealthsimple trade ?

You built up the habit which is a good start! 🥳
You rock guys! So inspiring for me
Thanks, Daniel! 😊
Hi Steph! Great video!
I have a really important question: Where is your shirt from??????
Thanks so much! Good question 😉 Aritzia! The green sweater in the thumbnail is the Mega Crewneck and the black long sleeve is the ‘Go To’ shirt, I love it (the t-shirt version is great, too)
I am starting my starter emergency fund. I'm a little late since I started my debt free journey in Sept 2018.
That’s awesome! 👏🏾👏🏻
Any chance you can share your finance template? Yours is great, would be awesome to not have to recreate!
Girlll Fido has a 10 gig, $55 plan. Get on that!!!
Noted, thank you!!! I can’t wait to get that expense down 🤪
I save like 75 percent and will do that til I save a big number. Then I'll switch it and invest a lot instead and save less :)
That’s amazing 🥳✨
is this in canadian dollars?
Hey Zoe! Yes - all Canadian dollars (we live in Toronto) 😊
@@stephandden nice! well done for saving:)
are you sure you cant bring down your internet costs? what about beanfield, fibrestream etc? they have good service (downtown) and are cheaper than the bigger providers.
We probably could! Those are good suggestions - we’ll look into them 😊 thanks!
So you and Den have separate Netflix accounts? I ask because he also has listed in his expenses Netflix for $15.
We do! I pay for my fam and he pays for his - we’ll merge together at some point, just haven’t yet 😊
Im saving 10% of pay, 10% to tithes and putting the rest to debt.
That’s a great ratio 👏🏾👏🏻
@@stephandden Thanks!
Tithing is probably my most consistent part of my budget rn
@@AaronandAsh I feel you there.

Love that you flipped the 50/30/20 rule! Saving 20% is too little imo.
Agreed! Sometimes that ‘rule’ makes you feel like you’re ‘allowed’ to spend more than you need to! ✨
Yea 20% is too light
I am aiming to save £20,000 in 2020.
That’s awesome! 🥳🥳
You got this you can do it!
