Save $20k. I started small and every little bit counts!! If i sold something online i would put half to debt and half to savings....im on track so far and cannot wait to reach my goal!! Yay!!! Im going to binge watch your videos now.
Sorry to be so offtopic but does someone know a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost the password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
Love the content guys. I live in Toronto and follow a similar mentality. I recently hit 75% in savings. I have no doubt that you will surpass me in the months to come with this channel. Keep up the great work!
Love your videos and seeing your budgeting template! I'm trying to spend less on "wants" this year and save more. I'm also hoping to start investing and would love a video on how you invest/ purchase stocks (if that's something you do). A monthly update/progress video on reaching your savings goal for the year would be great too!
Thanks for watching, so glad you enjoyed! We can definitely do a video on investing - planning to have one up within the next few weeks! & amazing - will continue savings progress updates as well. ☺️✨
I have to admit to feeling really down about not being able to save much this last year, I thought that because I was earning very little I wouldn't be able to save something like $25k, but I've just done a loose budget and I might actually be able to save somewhere close to that amount! Thank you for being so open and sharing your breakdown of your budget. It's helping me to save more :)
I have come from Patricia's reaction video. You guys are amazing!! Love these type of videos!! So driven and goal orientated. I love numbers, finance and budgets as well as investments. Sending some love from New Zealand.
My biggest goal is to spend less money eating out and $0 on uber eats. I calculated that I spent around 10k eating out last year 🤦🏾♀️. I want to open a high interest savings acct so I’ll be watching that video next.
Thanks for the tips! I'm a new grad working in tech. I'm planning to save 85% of my income - the earlier I start saving the more time it can compound :) Living with my parents for the next few years and live frugally will allow me to save more $. Will you guys make a video on credit cards? Would love to know what your recommendations are!
@@stephandden quite possibly cards(preferably $0 or low annual fees) that provide the best rewards in terms of cash back or travel points? There are tons of US financial channels out there on youtube and I think Canadian millennial can really benefit from this type of content as well :^)
great videos, very helpful. I appreciate you posting your budget, great for beginners and for future visualization. was wondering what career gives you that annual revenue? wld be helpful, thank u 😊
New to your channel and loving it so far! Wishing you success on the new journey going independent! Very curious though, who is your internet provider lol? Is that split as well or is the total internet cost $48.50?
Hey, if you don't mind me asking, why are you saving significantly more than you're investing? Is it for a goal like a down payment or something or just in general? Would love to hear back, keep up the great stuff.
Hey Mohit! Exactly - I'm focusing on saving money that I can use to invest in a down payment (potentially to use as an investment as opposed to for myself at this stage). My investing to saving ratio will definitely grow over time. 😊
I have been using an excel sheet that calculates everything down to the expenses and savings, but its a little clunky adding more lines. Does your doc allow for easier expansion in this regard?
What are your financial goals for 2020?! Let us know! ⬇️

Hey thank you for the video.
Can you also talk about bonus/compensation from the big4?
Thank you! Great suggestion - we will touch on this in a future video! ✨
Hey Steph, quick question. When you're budgeting, are you looking at gross or net income when making decisions on the amount you spend per week/month?
Hey Jeff! I look at my net income amount. 🙂
Hey Steph & Den . Where do I find all of your videos, from the very beginning? Thank you.
You can filter videos by oldest on our channel page!
Looks like a solid plan! Good luck with your savings goal!
Thanks so much! ✨
Hey guys, how are you getting on with your target!?! Nice video 😁
Thanks William! I did an updated video last year - ua-cam.com/video/geUZxbRKtjE/v-deo.html 😊
So rule number one, earn a lot of money and spend little lol. Working on it
Spend less than you make 🙌🏾🙌🏻
Do you have an update on this video? Like a recap? Thx!
Hey! We do 😊 It’s called “How Much Money I’ll Save This Year - Will I Meet My $25,000 Goal?!’
New to your channel and loving it so far! Wishing you success on the new journey going independent! Very curious though, who is your internet provider lol? Is that split as well or is the total internet cost $48.50?
Thanks so much 😊 We use Rogers and split it in half! But looking to switch to a cheaper plan soon!

Thank you, and thanks for watching! ✨
Does "other" also include insurances?
Not for us - although we do have renter's insurance that we paid as a lump sum!
Is there an update on this video ? Were you able to save 25k or more ? I’m sooo curious 😊
Yes there is! We did an update video a few months ago 😊
@@stephandden I found it ! Thank you !! Can you make a video about why you moved back to Toronto after living in Quebec & Ottawa 🤗
Thank you

Not hard to figure out your income here. Apx $80-90K.
It’s not hard to figure out, no - I shared all of my numbers! But I’m not sure how’s that what you came up with 😂
@@stephandden I'm dumb. its $49K. I've been staring a spread sheets all day. I think my brain is falling asleep.
I was like omg your rent is so cheap... but then I forgot you split lol
Haha, yes it's nice splitting rent!
Girl, what about Spotify! 😮
No Spotify for me! I use UA-cam for music 🤷🏼♀️
New subby : )
Why the rent could be so cheap?
Den and I split it, so our total rent is $1850 - we were really serious about sticking to a low rent when we were apartment hunting! 😊
