To be honest, Marcus is such a true professional that he makes this bass sound like his old Fodera, his Stingray, his Sire, every fretless he’s played. He knows how to get his sound on anything
I'm laughing at the 44 people who thumbs down the legend Marcus Miller. It's easy to hate when don't know the barrier this man knocked down to get where he is. As a teenager he traveled and played with other great legends that sat a precedented platform for us musicians today. He will be called to try out as well as be endorsed by other musical instrument makers. Thanks for professionalism Mr. Miller. Thanks also for your legacy. Your a true path layer!!!
Why are your laughing? What are the reasons they don't like the video? Do you think they dislike Marcus because they don't like the video or the bass? Marcus is one of my favorite players but I don't like slapping on fretless basses. Am I a bad person? Do i not understand who he is or what he has done?
There are all kinds of reasons why people thumbs down a video. This is a simple biased statistic you should't directly tie to hate. Some people may thumbs down because the recommendation was not of their interest, some people could do it by mistake, or some may be kids who don't even know what they are watching or they just like clicking things. Statistically the more people watch a video the higher the number of thumbs down, it's more mathematical than social. It's the course of nature
Fretless magic from a maestro!! I love his concentrated look every time he plays. I was so blessed to see him live 3 times at intimate venues. And each time he seemed so humble and willing to artistically open up and share.
I remember an interview where he said he took very care of his health, for example by spending his free time on tour in the gym as opposed to doing drugs and booze as a proper jazz player of the past would have done!!
Slapping the pentatonic blues scale for 30 years... So glad there are other players out there opening up new horizons... Jaco, Gary Willis, Hadrien Feraud, Anton Davidyants... I really prefer their fresh vision and new sounds
So what's the advantage or disadvantage being Fretless, besides looking different?? I've been watching Marcus Miller and Richard Bona both are great but Marcus has the edge with his funky moves.
Marcus Miller is the KING at fast Fretless Bass but Victor WOOTEN is the KING at Slap Fretless Bass and Victor WOOTEN's way of playing is so DOPE and rhythmic
If you have money enough, or being endorced, then its no problem..but "normal" fretless players would not slap a fretless..it will destroy your fingerboard..normaly you will allso not be doing any stringbending, it will eat up the fingerboard..specialy if its a soft wood, like rosewood...but if money is not a concern, then go ahead
Ganska speciellt ljud på bandlös. Han är givetvis "ganska" duktig men ändå, det låter inte riktigt så mina öron trivs. All heder dock. Fantastiskt vackert instrument. 👍🙂
1) Love the player, but you can have the bass; 2) Slapping on fretless; only the masters do that! 3) Dear employees: only the person playing adjusts the knobs on the bass! Get the bleep outta here!
It's one of my dreams, as a bassist, to turn Marcus Miller's knobs while he demos a bass
Probably, I wouldn't dare though 😂
You may have to buy him dinner before you can mess with his knob!🙃
@@potdragon8091 Oh, i'll buy him all dinners he deems necessary
😕
Aye yo kinda sus

What a difference does it make if somebody else dislike or just think differently of us ?
They could be disliking the video quality. Many reasons other than your assumption.

That’s awesome. I would love to see him live. He’s a one on a kind.
Let's face it...it's easy to make someone want to buy your bass if you have Marcus Miller showcase it.
Matt Pinkard ... agreed... But it must be hard for a man when everywhere you go people are watching you
Matt Pinkard ,I agree too ,just as me,I think I will if I am rich enough to afford that(QAQ)
Looks better suited if Les Claypool was playing it
@@LordGeyBoi Yeah it kind of looks like a knock off Carl Thompson haha.
Try having Stronce McThew demo your bass
Good luck
He's using it live now too. He was recently using the fretless Stingray on the recent tour. It sounds killer.
Just imagine Marcus Miller walking to your booth wanting to try your stuff.
+Muppio That is what he is doing...
I would say "I'm busy go away"
Wow, that's one sweet looking bass!!! Sounds awsome too👌
Whenever I hear people slide on a fretless bass it just sounds like the bass is saying "meow"
Marcus: "Please don't touch my Mayonnaise while I'm playing."
Marcus is a bass beast! His note precision with a fretless bass is flawless. I wish I could play my fretted bass that well! lol
You don't see many cats slapping a fretless. THE monster bass player. Very special musician
Am assuming you live without internet 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
@@ZENSIBLE Well its not that common is it.?
It sounds so clean too
Looks so smooth and amazing bass
Damn this guy plays a fretless well. He is able to make you forget it's a fretless until he very tastefully uses it.
gorgeous bass. omg.
Sweet!
O cara e foda ,muito swing .
Mayones...zacna firma sie nam narodziła!
Amazing
bravo ! bravo!
Love it 👏🏿👏🏿
That is a gorgeous bass. It sounds great too but having Marcus Miller play it surely helps it to sound even better.
Anyone care to comment on the intonation? As in - IMMACULATE.
How come Marcus doesn't age?
He's afro-american, that's the secret. Like Tom Morello.
it's a bass thing, you wouldn't understand.
I remember an interview where he said he took very care of his health, for example by spending his free time on tour in the gym as opposed to doing drugs and booze as a proper jazz player of the past would have done!!
black don't crack
Mouse Killaz Definitely a bass thing
Master @ Work!
Marcus is a BAD man!
Audio quality is VERY Important when showcasing a musical instrument.
I’m sure that’s a great bass but I couldn’t tell you that from this video
Exactly!
I guess this answers Patrick's question.
bellezaaa
3x MMM Marcus Miller Master
Marcus Miller is my favorite bassist
It's music, not just rapid slapping.
*angry Davie504 noises
He could make a shoebox with elastic bands on it sound great!
His fingers have a distinct sound, I love it
Slapping the pentatonic blues scale for 30 years... So glad there are other players out there opening up new horizons... Jaco, Gary Willis, Hadrien Feraud, Anton Davidyants... I really prefer their fresh vision and new sounds
Jaco and Gary Willis are new?!
i’ve always really enjoyed Marcus playing fretless.
tenho muita vontade de comprar um fretles desse .
Stunning
AMAZING!!!
nice

marcus has funky Groove in his foundation foundation and a style that separates him from all other bassist
what a way to advertise your product hahaha!!!!!
Много хороших, но Маркус тот самый который сделает все так как надо...
i want one...
cool
Beautiful bass. Not a bad guy to showcase it either 🤘🏻
👍
Check that thing out beautiful instrument
He has potential. He should join a band or something.
Is mayonnaise an instrument?
🍋
did he ever get a Mayones?
Peut pas s’empêcher de slapper même sur une fretless !!
I thought it was Keni Burk , I looked closely I realised it's not him .
that thing is gorgeous
Yeah, he can play..............I guess 😁
In order to sound that good on a fretless, you gotta practice on one. This man is too dedicated.
gee, ya think? Thank you for those amazingly inciteful words of wsdom
Mayones - POLSKA! 💪🙂💪
Marcus Miller is the KING at fast Fretless Bass but Victor WOOTEN is the KING at Slap Fretless Bass and Victor WOOTEN's way of playing is so DOPE and rhythmic
Thanks for your thumbs up 😉
I love the part where he plays Stairway...
i wish i could play like that
mais un jours je pourais
How original
Excited......?
Nope.
Amazing musician....... YES.
So mayonnaise IS an instrument
Les claypool
why is an instrument called mayonnaise?
This is the nickname of one of the factory owners.
No choice becuz remaining options are mustard or ketchup..
Just add tuna, salad, onion, etc... 😋
좀 잘치네? ㅋㅋ
옛날에부산에 공연 왔을 때 보고싶었는데..ㅋㅋ
A man of few words but many notes.
hey nob man, leave him alone let the guy play
Bet Marcus was the buyer. He makes that bass sing.
Made in Poland.
He slaps anyway...
フレットレスベース欲しくなるのだ🎵(^-^)
#Не_Ной_А_Строй
mayonesってなんて読むの?メイワンズ?マヨネーズ?
Damn dude I thought that was a badass ct bass at first
Marcus ia great but that bass really doesn't sound great.
Playing with knob I see
Nice leather jacket
Why is he slapping on a fretless bass?
because he can
Ever hear of Les Claypool? Also-because he is Marcus f-ing Miller, and you aren't!

but he shouldn't! Slappin on a fretless is a deadly sin. Even for Marcus 😤
How dare!!??
Ganska speciellt ljud på bandlös. Han är givetvis "ganska" duktig men ändå, det låter inte riktigt så mina öron trivs. All heder dock. Fantastiskt vackert instrument. 👍🙂
thumb rest goes the whole way down the bass
if i could ever have one i would leave that price tag hanging off it
Great player, but fretless still sound like tonal farts.
All thumb my goodness
Sire fretless sounds better
凄く値段が高いベースですよね😭
#davie504 check this out!
why 81 dislike
And the slap? Haha ridiculous
I don't believe Marcus is big proponent of 5 and 6 string basses ...he appears to be more of a 4 string traditionalist.
1) Love the player, but you can have the bass; 2) Slapping on fretless; only the masters do that! 3) Dear employees: only the person playing adjusts the knobs on the bass! Get the bleep outta here!
You don't touch a mans knob when he is in the groove.
Depending on the knob.
Depending on the groove.
Depending on the man.
My neighbor knows his sisters uncle
Don't I know you from somewhere?
@@kiereluurs1243 possibly . If you’re into soundscapes
Le gars joue de ouf mais bon, la basse en solo, ça va 2 minutes
Сплошной БУЛЬ-БУЛЬ , а не музыка.
That's just noise
Yuk, what a finish.
Looks like used firewood.
Говно, не инструмент, бедный Марк Выдавил из себя что мог
I prefer Marcus Muller, with his Fender bass. My opinion: "this sound was not cool"
Really thin, weak sound honestly. And that's Marcus Miller. Think how bad it would sound with me playing it.
