Great video! Would you say this subscription is good for new players? I’ve never really played DnD, but always been interested. I have a 9yo niece and nephew who are curious, and I’m trying to find some all-in-one package that would be easy for us to understand and play through.
Great question! Yes, absolutely. It is really easy to digest and alter if need be. If there is an encounter you don't want your younger players to navigate, use a different one. There are a lot of options!
Definitely get at least a few months worth of boxes under your belt so you know where the story is going. Trust me, it makes life a lot easier.
Now, if you have never played before, you'll still need the basics such as a D&D Players Handbook and Dungeon Master's Guide. The Dungeon in A Box product has a lot of content but it is a supplement to D&D and does not contain all the rules and DM options. It also refers to these manuals for stats on occasion when it's something that already exists.

Good content but their customer service and shipping is a mess. I had a sub for almost a year and they screwed up 4 months worth of boxes. And never made any effort to fix it. I love their Skinny minis and I have backed both KS's and thye are nice minis... But I avoid the box subscriptions as they just cant seem to get it together!
Oh and I was on the Pathfinder version which they screwed up a few times! Sending me D&D boxes, not all of us are D&D fans!
Oh that's frustrating! Thankfully I didn't have any shipping issues.
i just have one question. Is it available to purchase their skinny minis along with the box they send subscriber every month?
From what I understand, I think you can buy skinny minis directly from their site.
They have a monthly minis subscription if that's any help 🤷♂️
