Before you opened the box, I though it was a great idea. As soon as you showed the pirate standees, I lost interest. I prefer a old school darker and dangerous style of fantasy - Puss in Boots pirates is too modern RPG theme park style for me.
I love the idea of setting up a quest book with a map chart for the quests.... it gives the players some control of their fate, plus you can add a random traveling encounter mechanic based on distance and Zargon/Morcar can have zones to make the encounters themed to the place they are sailing to, e.g. pirates, Davey Jones, sea creatures, etc... For then star artifact, Crooked Staff Terrain has some handouts for the players that can be used as a base idea, and could easily made to HQ. Love the crab, would probably work better for HQ quests on a Loke Battle mat. Thank you Ash for sharing
I have so many Skinny Minis from their store & second Kickstarter campaign. These are, without a doubt, the highest quality standees you will ever use.
Love the concept of the box. The scale issues would drive me crazy though. If everything was scaled to one square = 5 feet, and the 3d minis matched in scale to the standies I would consider purchasing, but not the way it is.
I had a Terrible experience with this product. The product itself was good. I subscribed for 3 months. However I was charged and no box was sent for over 30 days. When I contacted them I was told Because of my start date I had fallen between shipping cracks. The assured me I would be sent my product out quickly. It took 10 more days. In that 10 days I was charged for The next box. The second box was mailed 30 days later. This process continued with the third box and I killed the subscription at that point. Customer service was a joke. This was 2019 when it occurred so maybe they have gotten better. But I won’t give them the chance again. If you’re going to charge me for the product, mail it out in a reasonable amount of time.
I will keep an eye on this. I'm planning on unboxing each month for as long as I'm subbed, so I'll give an honest review of the transparency and reliability with each vid. I appreciate the sharing of your experience, though im sorry it turned out that way 🙏
Thanks for sharing your experience. I've been considering a short term subscription, (because I hate subscriptions for this very reason), but after seeing your dilemma, my gut is telling me "no".
@@AsurionWhitestar if you look at their marketing ad, it's very deceitful because the image that they show is not what you get each month. They show way more stuff than what is actually sent out in a box.
I’ve been a subscriber for 4 years. I like the maps and it’s pretty cool to get a box of stuff every month. I’m not crazy about the writing but the physical assets are neat.🤷

I've been a subscriber for a year. The only issue I have is they stop sending me the bases for the minis after the 3rd box. So whatever you do, do not glue the standees into the bases.
Ugh, really? That sounds dumb! I hope they don't still do that. As unlikely as I am to keep everything on stands at the same time, I couldn't imagine unbasing my other minis constantly
Does your channel analytics actually say that your audience responds favorably to ASMR because my ADHD brain absolutely cannot stand the sound of crinkles pops scratches or otherwise ASMR
