I just found you recently and I love the content. My crested gecko loves to drink out of her water dish. She differently has deforent personality than some of the other cresteds. She never fires up or down just stays the same color. But I love her quirky personality.

Great video with great tips for new cresty owners. I'm struggling to keep the humidity up at night in my cresty's tank. Its generally around 40% humidity throughout the night. I use Reptibark and when i put fresh reptibark in, the humidity is great (around 70%) but as weeks go by, it sits around 40% even after misting. My cresty appears to be happy and healthy but the winter months are coming around. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm planning on getting another gecko I have a leo at the moment but wanted something like a Chemelon gecko or a crestie/gargoyle. Thank you for this video!

Question! You said ventilation is good, but how do I achieve that? I have a standard 20 gallon fish tank that I plan to stand up and enclose. What kind of lid/door should I use and how do I balance between humid and not mildewy?
I just got 2 crested geckos. I was not planning on feeding bugs. Can they live a healthy life without me feeding bugs as long as I am feeding a variety of commercial diet?

What should the overall heat of the tank be? Personally I don’t plan on using uvb but rather lighting for the plants. In which I will turn off at night ofc. And will be feed him repashy/pangea
I could be wrong (please correct me if I am and if I'm wrong I apologize.) Crested geckos live in a tropical environment. You don''t want an overall heat because your geckos tank should be a gradient. (Cool at the bottom, hot at the top) Crested geckos thrive in tempatures from 60-80. If the heating goes higher than 80 or lower than 59, then it's not healthy. Misting will also help regulate some of the heat in the tank.

Can crested geckos drink water from fake leaves? And also can you put food in the day time?

I need a little help! I ran across your channel looking up some info on my crested gecky, "dude" I purchased him back in October from a repticon show in Charleston SC, I am not a big reptile lover however my husband is and so I've really gotten into them lol so, I've been feeding my gecky from the bags of food (powder feed that's got fruit and bugs in it and it's what he was eating when I got him) so I've had him almost 7 months now, when I first got him he was probably 3 inches long and now I would say he's probably about 7-8 inches long, like I said I've only been feeding him the powder feed that I mix with water and I was told that was all he needed, well the other day I was at the animal store and I decided to purchase him some worms, so I googled what worms to purchase they didnt have any wax worms so I purchased super worms, and immediately when I first offered it to him he took it shook his head and ate it but within a min all of a sudden his eyes kind of sucked in is his I describe it, a few times, and it scared me it was like he was choking! The pangea gecko diet is actually what I've been feeding him... I have two different bags and I mix them half and half... Heres my problem, When he choked the other day ever since then when I offer him a worm now, he backs up and doesn't want it, and I've offered it many times and he flat out doesn't want it! Have I made him scared of the worms maybe? Did he possibly choke? Also, with him not growing fast or really not at all, what am I doing wrong?? I just don't want anything t happen to him bc I love my little dude and I'm just worried in not doing something right....
Crested geckos are generally pretty slow growers. I'm not sure if he choked, but there is the possibility that he just doesn't want them anymore, especially if it was too big for him to eat, or if it bit him or something (superworms have quite a bite). My crested gecko rarely wants insects, and if anything goes wrong at all while she eats them (like getting bit) she doesn't want them again for a long time.

@@tiffanyhowell8207 yep! Just make sure the powdered food you're feeding contains insects (the red envelope of pangea does)

my crested gecko has no interest in insects. it is about three years old now and is eating powdered food and appearing healthy but just won’t eat crickets. i have tried many times over the years and she has come close, but never actually eaten one. i have tried everything from putting them in her cage to in a critter keeper to taking the heads of to dipping them in her food and she just shows no interest. she is definitely underweight but still growing. anyone have any advice? i’m worried she isn’t getting enough calcium and protein though i do have her on pangea growth and breeding formula.

Question, for their water do you spray tap water, purified/distilled, or is it treated somehow?
I use tap water treated with ReptiSafe. You can also use purified water 😊
hey i have a question, should i use a uvb light if i feed my crested gecko a complete pangea diet?
They don't need UVB lights, since they're nocturnal and hide all day, but you can always provide one if you'd like! 😊
Would a 20 tall aquarium be good for a crested gecko
Yes I use a hexagonal 20 gallon and my gecko loves it but because there are so many reflective surfaces I had to cover the sides and I cover the front when the lights go off.
