- Repurposed pallet boards make an attractive display case and are the perfect way to showcase old bottles. Watch me, a novice carpenter, work through the permutations of building a rustic display case made of beautiful used wood. I realize it's a lot like watching sausage being made, but in the end, I produce a finished product that anyone can make with a few basic woodworking tools. Let the record reflect that I do not have a fancy workshop filled with saws, drills, and sanders worth thousands of dollars
This is a deviation from my relic hunting adventures, but there comes a time when you have to tap the pause button, so you can figure out just how you’re going to display all the stuff you've dug out of the ground.

That is a great display cabinet! I totally agree with your wife on making it vertical, it looks much nicer against the wall lining up with the other case.
