    I could of contacted you on Instagram but I wanted to share it here. I had a chance to witness to an atheist today. I listened and witnessed. I didn't know what to say, so I prayed and asked God to lead me. I remembered all the videos you made on how to witness and the examples you showed. It helped me today along with Holy Spirit of course.
    Thank you Preston. You and this ministry are so needed.

      @John Bennett he's not being divisive and prejudice in the statement. Try some understanding before bashing. Unfortunately in our community, many black folks reject Christ simply b/c we know the true history of the bible being used to oppress black folk in this country during slavery and even as recent as the Jim Crow days. That's a driving force behind the Black Hebrew Israelites that Preston mentioned in the video. It's good for some black people to see more black folks like Preston speak intelligently, confidently, and factually on scripture so the Holy Spirit can move in them b/c the hurt they harbor in their hearts simply won't let them listen to anyone else of another race.
      Sad truth, but it is what it is. That could be said of any people. Fernando's comments probably were from more of a concern for those people.

    • @nowfaithis9799
      @nowfaithis9799 4 роки тому +2

      @John Bennett I agree with you wholeheartedly. And perhaps I may have been hasty in assuming you were bashing. Context does sometimes get lost when you can't hear a person's tone. I do think though the comment was moreso for naive unbelievers rather than actual believers. Paul tore into Peter because believers were treating believers like 2nd class citizens and they should've known better. An unbeliever who harbors resentment is a bit different. The world doesn't necessarily know better and the world is who I was referring to who may not be receptive of everyone, but still need to be reached nonetheless.
      God bless brother!

    7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

    This video was really great! I look forward to watching more of your stuff.
    Also, another thing that can be helpful to note on the Philippians 2 passage is that when it says that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow it is quoting from Isaiah 45:23 where God says this. It is a great spot to equate Jesus and Jehovah. Walter Martin does this very well in his lectures.

    I really hope you put more videos like this on UA-cam to help train and grow Christians in their faith but to also share it boldly to those around us. I think most Christians don't share the Gospel so we don't even know how to articulate clearly what we actually believe. Great video!

      Yes ....
      Except that it's the "very funny and entertaining" aspect that's the problem with all this, because it isn't funny ...
      As we're dealing with people's lives here, not auditioning for Comedy Central ...
      For while Preston rightly encourages a respectful attitude and mild temperment when engaging in apologetics toward others as instructed in 1 Peter 3:15.
      In his examples he comes off as very disrespectful playing the role of a supposed Jehovah's Witness. Where he is trying to make a mockery and laughingstock out of them. And the audience's laughing and having a good time all the while in response is equally bad and un-Christian ....

      @@H.T.2forever - Have you actually spoken with Jehovah's Witness? That's how they are. Preston did a very good job... and it was funny because he was pretending to be an old JW woman. Have you shared the Gospel with anyone before or do you just go to your church and go back home and let your pastor do all the work?
      This video is highly educational and there is no other apologetic videos like it on UA-cam that I can find with the role-play and instruction in-between.

      And in turn I've met a lot of elderly women in Christendom's churches as well over the years. And heard a lot of real howlers from them struggling to express their beliefs.
      But I've never tried to tease or mock them with sarcastic impressions, nor would approve of anyone who did.
      >
      Needless to say as a JW, yes, and the latter doesn't apply since I left Christendom quite a long time ago ...
      >
      And again, while I as a JW would obviously contend otherwise, and argue that Preston is using the customary tactic of "straw-man" argumentation. Where you ascribe wrong or distorted beliefs and views to your opponent that they don't really hold, so you can easily refute them.
      This aside, I nevertheless respect his or those in his audience right to defend their religion through apologetics this way.
      But not "HOW" they're choosing to defend them through mockery and making fun of others. Which is totally anathema to any true Christian.

      Sheesh .... at this point forget religion and theological differences, I'd graciously welcome any improvement someone can offer over what's going on in areas like this today.

      Hello@@Weatherthestormm . Maybe I can help a little. As Christians we believe that there is one true God who governs over all of creation. We believe that God created all people, men and women. Some may believe in many gods or other gods, but as Christians we believe that the one true God that Preston, and more so that the Bible speaks of is God and Lord over all. This God is for you and He loves you. He proved this by sending His Son Jesus to die for you. There is more to the message than that, but it is a simple message and it is for all who come to know Jesus and place their faith in Him.

    Wow, I’m glad to see this. But I’m not sure either of them know what they’re talking about in the trinity discussion. The words “forms”, “persons” and “essence” were the foundation of what happened at Nicea in 325 & it was necessary because there were 2 different camps. One who said God is 1 in 3 forms & another that said God is 1 in 3 persons. Those are actually 2 exceedingly different explanations.

    • @cole141000
      @cole141000 4 роки тому

      @TheEnd A correct understanding of Leviticus and Hebrews would lead you to putting aside the passover. There is only one true passover, when God passed over the sins of those who believed wherein the blood of his own Son is applied in there place. And the reason for the sabbath change has more merit than at first glance, but as for the trinity--you can say what you will about the Council of Nicea but it laid the foundation for the traditions we hold: the deity of Jesus, the 3 separate persons in the Trinity, and the equally human and divine natures in Jesus. These matter for every theological conclusion made in the New Testament.

    • @cole141000
      @cole141000 4 роки тому

      @TheEnd I did not intend abolished but fulfilled. The early church? I understand where you are coming from but you must not understanding the meaning of it being fulfilled. This is the heart of Romans 14-15 and the literal abolishment of the dietary laws.

      @TheEnd unclear? please do share

    • @cole141000

      TheEnd The scriptures are the means to knowing the will of God. If you have another means to it, then ofcourse I cannot comprehend you. It is also unbiblical not to handle the brother weak in the faith with patience and gentleness.

    • @cole141000
      @cole141000 4 роки тому

      TheEnd And who taught you that about the scriptures? Man or The scriptures, which God inspired? I disagree. The spiritual understand spiritual truths, we don’t each individually need to to have revelation-God has gifted the church to be one body and the scriptures are clear to the person God has revived.
      And now you have me confused with your position on the relationship between old covenant institutions and new covenant life. Because the same law that commands the dietary laws speaks about the Passover. Either they both find there fulfillment in Christ or neither. I hold to what all the New Testament writers witness to is that the entire law and all of its ordinances are indeed fulfilled in Him & so many misunderstand the implications of that, likewise for a lack of understanding the scriptures plain sense fall to the wayside.
      Jesus himself told the Pharisees they were in error because they did not “understand the scriptures” not because they had failed to have some spiritual revelation but they were driven by their deceitful desires.
      Bless you brother

    "One God, three forms" That, my friend, is the ancient heresy known as Sabellianism or Modalism, or more well known 'Oneness Pentecostals' Sabellianism is the belief that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three different modes or aspects (OR FORMS) of God, as opposed to a Trinitarian view of three distinct persons within the Godhead. Biblical Trinitarianism teaches there is 'One What' & 'Three Whos" - one Being of God consisting of three distinct Divine Persons sharing all of the attributes & characteristics of God - each Person being 100% God.

    • @jontelmurphy5996
      @jontelmurphy5996 4 роки тому

      I cant speak to the trinity but I can tell you that is not what Oneness Pentecostals believe. We believe there is one God and his name is Jesus. Jesus give his disciples the Great Commission in Matthew 28, telling them to teach all nations and to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost, and that name is Jesus, who was made both Lord and Christ. I have one name but at any given time i can function in a different role, whether it be a father to my children, a son to my mother and father or a brother to my younger siblings but my name never changes it remains the same. Throughout the scripture we see this with Jesus.

    This teaching was good. It is important to encourage people and equip them to defend the faith. Notwithstanding, God is not a Trinity. He is one, and indivisible. Deut 6:4, 1Tim 3:16. God has manifested himself to humanity as Father, Son, and Spirit. These are roles God assumed. When Jesus said the "Father is greater than him" he spoke as a man and pointed out that in human flesh he is limited because he was also fully man with human limitations. Hence, Jesus was God having a human experience, and so humbled himself.
    When there was no arm to save, God's own arm brought salvation. How so? He (God) clothed himself in flesh to be that sinless sacrifice. This is why Jesus is the mediator between God and man because he was the bridge-- fully God and fully man. That one God who came to redeem His people from their sins. Our Emmanuel- God with us.
    To add, Jesus came so that people everywhere could hear the Gospel, to believe it, to repent, and be baptized in the name of Jesus (Acts 2:38). Nowhere in scripture is anyone baptized in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit because the disciples knew that the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is Jesus. God's name is Jesus. Whatever we do in word or deed let us do all in the name of Jesus.

    I believe the right question is since the je came to restore the right version, so the question is: From what version did you restored the new world traditions?
    If they ever have the bad luck to point at a specific version, then the next question is: why not just keep that authentic version instead of writing a new world? What is the point of writing new version while you just have to keep the authentic one??

    Why is it so difficult for people to believe that God created us in His image? That image as a 3-part being of body, soul, spirit just as God is father, Son, Holy Spirit. Because we walk by faith.

    Apologetics with Catholics, Hindus/ Sikhs, and Muslims are something that I gotta figure out because it’s very hard to witness to someone with an eastern mindset when Christianity is so dominated by the western, despite in its truth being a blend between both.

    Jesus was never Michael . He was the word, creating in the beginning and have always existed. John 1:1 and the word WAS God. On the Jesus is God... There are scriptures in every book of the bible that reveal his Godhood. However Jesus said "He that hath seen me hath seen the Father." John 14:9-11 Also Jesus was called EVERLASTING FATHER Isaiah 9:6 The bible interprets all its TRUE DOCTRINES in literally every line of scripture. The Holy Spirit hath breathed on the authors in total CONSISTENCY. "For unto which of the angels Said he at anytime, Thous art my Son" Heb 1:5

    If God the Father is the Leader as you say and is the Initiator of Creation and has a Greater role, all your words, then clearly the Son is not equal in position to His Father. You may say he shares the same nature or same essence, but the Father is Greater even by your own words. And if Jesus is different from God the Father in any way at all, such as by not being the Leader, nor the Initiator or in having a lesser role by any means, then Christ cannot be said to be equal to God the Father. Jesus obeyed His Father, surrendered his will to the Father, he prayed to the Father and called the Father his God. The Father however never did any of these things towards His Son. I am not a Jehovah's witness, nor a Muslim, nor a Mormon. I am a Christian who believes that Jesus was the Messiah. I, like you all, am also a child of God our Father and feel very compelled to voice what He reveals to me, which is also what the scripture says. As Paul wrote, 'Blessed be the God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
