      If you watch earlier videos he pretty much has an explanation/tutorial for practically every chemical or mechanical process and almost every device he uses. I think the only complex tools he didn't build himself here is the scales and the heaters, so I recommend finding the earlier stuff and learning from it

    Something I have to wonder about is how much money it costs in fuel or electricity, as well as other chemicals, in order to extract this small amount of precious metal. I can't see it being worth it, other than just for the fun of it.

    Cody, around 8:00 I saw you where pouring out some water from a jug. It does that glug glug glug glug thing. To make it pour out much faster just give the water a little spin before pouring and it will be like one of those tornado in a glass things, like a whirlpool. Just a little tip.     I only recently discovered you, and I must say, that this channel is something truly commendable. Most youtubers just hijack content other people have created, and claim it is something new because they are making terrible puns & jokes on top of it. (Thinking mainly about let's play videos)
    Not only do you actually spend time preparing various things, but you also are inspiring kids & grown ups alike to learn new things.(And maybe get them interested in chemistry/geology) It doesn't stop there: You also (from what I have seen) always play safe enough, and you also handle animals quite well. (Most people would have killed the critter.)
    You are a positive influence in this world.

    you should do a kind of challenge where you get a week to generate as much gold as you can via mining, gold panning, refining, etc and make a video of the final gold bar and all itd be pretty sick

    I know my chances of getting noticed are slim, but whatever.
    Cody, I just want to thank you for making these videos. My city is built on an industry of mining, and I feel that this series at least gives insight into the way the first miners did it. Hopefully there are more episodes after this, because I find them really enjoyable. Thanks again!

    Cody, what are you plans going forward with the mine since you just determined that the mine is not economically viable. I really enjoy watching you extract precious metals even if it isn't worth much. From the perspective of an audience member, I believe the excitement lies in the fact that we never know what will come out of it. Please don''t stop making these.

      don't fiddle around if there's rain upstream. however look up culvert gold mining, if you're willing to put in the work there's a good chance of some okay money.

      Yeah, most snakes aren't aggressive but I think there are 3 species in Australia that are, one of them is one of the most poisonous snakes in the world. I think the brown snakes only become aggressive during breeding season

      Blu Medic 84 grams of apple seeds fresh cut from an apple is a lethal dosage, you'd need several hundred apple seeds but it's very possible to get cyanide from the apples, of course the cyanide would most likely be useless within minutes but still
      each apple seed contains about .6mg of hydrogen cyanide, 50mg of hydrogen cyanide is a lethal dosage

      you could buy like 8 times the amount of cyanide that it would cost you to get like 10 grams of cyanid from apples or almonds.
      i'm not really sure how much cyanide cost but i know it's going to be cheaper that all those apples and almonds

      he would make more money off youtube than that single half bucket... however... if he where able to get the ore out in large amounts and able to process it all quickly and efficiently... he Might break even... or, he could make more money going to a known high gold bearing placer deposit in nevada and or surface searching with a metal detector... i for one, think his mine is pretty awesome, reguardless of how much metals its got, if it where me however, i would build a machine that would allow me to smooth out the walls using an angle grinder mounted on a swiveling post to carve it out... or a diamond blade saw with a water supply... but then, its his mine, so he can do what he wants with it lol
