It is said by the manager that they are forced to wash hands every 45 minutes or so. Also they are not allowed to touch they face, hair or whatever. If they do - wash hands.
This McDonald’s burger making process looks gourmet af compared to the one I work at but also looks like a slower process but you can see they care about getting everything right
They don't even realize the gloves in the United States aren't for hygiene. They're so the employee doesn't have moist wrinkly onion and pickle fingers all the time. Gloves are actually less hygienic.
Everyone be talking about gloves, I'm just amazed at how clean that kitchen is..... I don't see crumbs anywhere!!! I work at Maccas on the line/ fryers/ grill and even if I do try to keep my station spotless there is always mess!!! Its almost impossible to get a kitchen as clean as this video's kitchen
Yeah, a clean kitchen is not a busy kitchen. I try to keep the kitchen spotless and it works. We spot cleaners just have to accept it will get dirty again lol
When i worked at Sonic, they made us wash our hands every 30 minutes AND change out our disposable gloves. If we touched anything other than the food or food items we had to wash our hands and change gloves again.
+ThatOneGuy 7 dude i know how you feel i recently joined BK tis ok tho the people are friendly the only thing i hate is standing in the freezer in just my uniform rooms so cold your nostrils get the feeling of having bubbles in them
An ex of mine would wash his hand little bit past the wrist and wear double gloves and if he did touch other items he'd take those off and already have another set LMFAO
lol, we use a single line system and when I worked there, I'd typically try to keep prep times under 9 seconds. Breakfast was a battle. 8 steak egg and cheese bagels please! Glad I don't work there anymore. Now I'm the one to order 20 McDoubles. LOL
For all you non-food workers. You are NOT required to wear gloves when handling food only when handling raw materials. US and I'm sure Russia as well, you can cook and prepare food AS LONG as you wash your hands before switching from food stations.
I am a McDonalds manager also here in US, every stores has thier own style preparing and handling thier foods,.all I can say is,..the reason why there's multiple employees and they were positioned to every tasks like cook, prep person and making orders person to avoid cross contaminations...I agree that they don't wear gloves...same here in US,..depends on state that not required to wear gloves.as long employees wash thier hands every 15 minutes and we have clock timer for that.
LOL People, go to any fine dining restaurants. 5 star, michelline what ever, they NEVER use gloves because it spreads more than using bare hand. There are reasons why Chefs never use GLOVES unless you are dealing with high bacteria meats like raw pork or chicken. I graduated Culinary Arts in University and yes We never use gloves! It's not great but I currently working in McDonald to explore many restaurants as I can. HERE is thing. We use gloves but WE TOUCH EVERYWHERE. such as: Bun trays, grill buttons, fridge/chiller door, Oven door, boxes, door knobs, sweeps, Oily meat trays, Dirty cloth, then we continue make burgers WITHOUT CHANGING GLOVES. People cannot be bothered to change to new one so yes. I do change alot because it became my habbit in Kitchen but I got told for that. lol If we use bare hands, it is also more essential, safe, and santised way to deal with the burgers. People dont know it is more safer and better when you use bare hands than use gloves. Chefs try not to use gloves even dealing with chicken or pork too!
Using gloves is the best recommendation. In the fast food industry we have a policy of no bare hands into ready to eat food. How can we sure that some staff have hidden wound in the blood come to the food. It's disgusting. Can you eat that? I can't eat that.
A culinary university student who doesn’t know Michelin stars? That’s like a doctor not knowing about antibiotics or a Finance Student not knowing stocks, get your money back you got conned 😂
Looks good to me. Clean and efficient. That ketchup thing is awesome lol. I need that for ranch. Lol. Pretty much all cooks and chefs don't use gloves.
I think the gloves are more of a trust system since the manager of the store might not always know if employees are actually washing their hands properly or not. As for the ketchup and mustard dispensers they're really easy to use and clean and you get a couple shapes being the circular one that you see in the video and a rectangular one that sits in a cradle. The condiment guns each house a tube of sauce one being ranch tartar sauce and big Mac sauce that slowly gets compressed but it always releases the exact amount needed for the burger.
For the people complaining he should wear gloves even if he washed his hands... when you go to a star restaurant do you really think the chefs there wear gloves when touching your food? As long as you wash your hands (for sure when dealing with raw meat) there is nothing to worry about or just stay home and only eat food you made yourself
Yeah I've been working at McDonald's for the past year now and it's true that it can be a challenge. People try to have really high expectations for the speed of the food but what people don't tend to realize is that it's usually about four people in the kitchen trying to prepare and make food in less than a minute. It can get pretty chaotic especially when both drive-through lanes fill up.
In the United States McDonald's uses an assembly line technique. The time this manager took to demonstrate the assembly of one sandwich, you could have made 6 sandwiches using that technique. By the way, the grill utensils should never touch the sandwich being made, and the sandwich should never leave the heated dress table until it reaches the heated landing zone (HLZ). Final nitpick - that's actually too many onions!
People say that he touches the food with the bare hand, ive just started working in Mcdonalds in Spain, and when u enter u HAVE to wash ur hands with a special thing for 20 seconds, and then each 45 min u have to wash again.
Lol all those peeps complaining about no gloves: i work at mcdonalds and we have a very strict system for washing our hands... There's no need to worry, these people know what they do! We only wear gloves when grabbing patties for the grill because of the raw meat
Geez that bun cooking system looks like a pain to use! At my McDonalds you just put the buns through a conveyer belt that cooks them! Also our meat is stored in cabinets after its cooked so you put all the toppings on and then take the burger out of the cabinet at the end to assemble it! So much easier.
That's not correct. Some items are precooked (such as chicken nuggets, hamburger patties, filet o fish) and then kept in a warming cabinet for a short time (10-20 mins depending on item) until they get used. If they are not used by that time they are thrown away. Nothing gets reheated. Items such as the buns are toasted as needed. There is a kitchen manager who sets the holding levels according to predicted hourly sales and the level of customers. At slow periods everything is cooked to order and can be made in minutes (3 mins for a hamburger or Big Mac, 4 mins for chicken nuggets or fries. The thing that takes the longest to cook is an apple pie at 6 minutes) Anyone who says everything is precooked and then reheated is lying, probably because they have never worked at a McDonalds and they are just making shit up.
Gloves do not have to be worn however you should wash your gangs when handling raw meat he never actually touched them he used the correct utensils! Only Americans constantly use gloves cos you take ever person on the planet to court!
Is it just me or do the patties look way too big to be a big mac party? In America the patties are thin and small and you're mostly eating lettuce and special sauce.
He did it wrong, if you take the patties from the grill, you put the patties first on the bun with cheese, and not on the one with the pickles. Man i miss the Grill direct system,
The bun is made of high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, enriched flours(basically flour without nutrition) sugar, and a handful of other shit. The patties come from sick cows. Does mcds fry or grill or what? Their patties?
They are grilling the patties, however the grill is not a charcoal grill, but just electric
in the uk mcdonalds everything is precooked then reheated in multi-coloured trays.
I don't get what you mean by WHO (as in World Health Organisation?)
That's not correct. Some items are precooked (such as chicken nuggets, hamburger patties, filet o fish) and then kept in a warming cabinet for a short time (10-20 mins depending on item) until they get used.
