My chinchilla doesn’t like to be held much, because she would rather be pet, but I’ll try these tops to see if she will warm up to being held! Thank you for the awesome video
@@Chinchillakingdom thanks for the advice, actually it has only been 4 months since she arrived home, thank you very much for your videos that made me discover this fantastic animal 🤗
yeah, the same happened with Pandora at the start. I think because they have never seen a wheel before, they don't know what to do with it. What I did was put some dust on the wheel so Pandora would go onto it. But it took a good couple of days for her to get running on it :)
I just got new chinchillas and I want to know how to let them like feel comfortable with me I know it might take awhile but do you how anything tips on that??
Could you explain to me about scared Chinchilla, because I have mine from like 5 months, he is 8 months old and I tried to pet him many times, but no positive results at all.
I just got mine yesterday he's almost 2. He is slowly getting used to me. I just keep my hand still and he uses my fingers as like a rubbing post. So I think he is showing me where he likes to pet. He also ate from my palm. And rested on my hand while he ate. But he wouldn't come in the palm of my hands. My cousin showed me how she did it. And it he hopped right in her hands. I think he just has to get used to me. This lil guy is so adorable to see him roll in his bath. One step at a time. Today at work was so long because I was worried about him. I know he is 2. But would it be a good idea to get another one? Should it be another male? Like a younger or same age one? I'm new to chinchillas I was helping out a cousin since she just had a baby and wanted him go to a good owner and she knows I love the lil guy
I just got a chinchilla because this girl had to rehome him and I need to get him out for play time so I just put the dust bath in the cage then carry him to the play area, then when it's time to go back I just put the dust bath back down. I've only had him for two days now so I dont want this to be the only way I let him out but it seemed the safest for now.
My SO’s best friend just got our daughter one for her birthday. He told us that you have to pinch the base of their tail when you hold them… is that not true.
Yes! You pinch the base of the tail while supporting their feet. This is especially a useful during an emergency situation. The reasons readers recommend picking them up this way is because the base of the tail one of the strongest bones in their body. When you are dealing with a wiggly chinchilla who is sick and doesn't want to go to the vet you risk breaking ribs so that's why breaders will often tell you to grab the base of the tail while supporting their feet.
My chinchilla is always on adderall status. He moves 100 miles an hour like an athlete.

My chinchilla just jumps on my shoulder and expects me to carry him
KEEP IT UP! Great work!

These are some good tips…thank you so much I just got mines.
Pandora Is soo cute😊
My chinchilla doesn't want to be touched, every time I try it moves my finger with its paw or squeaks
Aww, I would say go slowly, and get them familiar to your scent first 😜

Can you answer this weird question is So I got my chinchilla a wheel but he won’t run on it should I be worried? Or is that normal?

How is your chinchilla now?

One question how much did the chinchilla cost
Is it hard to take care of a cincilla
Pandora is really cute!
My chinnies are more comfortable with stand up holding and one hand one for some reason-
Yeah Pandora is sort of the same! I guess every chinchilla has different preference as how to be held haha! 😂

How to make it not to bite
First
aahaha yayyy!
I was holding my chinchilla and he jumped out of my arms and he fell on a bucket and had what I think is called a fur slip I'm not to sure :(
That means they were stressed
Aww I'm sorry to hear that. Did you see any loose hair/bald patch on your chinchilla after he jumped out of your arms?
@@thearchives122 I agree with that ;)
@@Chinchillakingdom yeah :( I put him in his cage after because he looked scared :
@@potatos4052 Oh no! Give him some time, I'm sure he'll warm up to you 🥰
