  • In this video we use Dubler 2 with Spitfire Audio plug-ins to compose a dynamic orchestral piece! Using new features like chord presets and precise control over MIDI mapping makes it really easy to lay down ideas quickly and we look at various ways to use these kinds of techniques throughout the video.
You can skip to 22:11 to hear the full composition!

Another massive selling point to me is the continuous demoes as the product evolves. The people behind this amazing product fully believe in it.

I recently bought Spitfire's Abbey Road One Foundations and BBCSO Core and also Dubler 2 expressly for using them together. This tutorial comes with excellent timing.

A real marvel. Hoping the plug-ins mentioned are for most DAWs including Logic Pro. So much fun to be had commanding a powerful orchestra.

For reference to anyone later, Spitfire Audio's plug-ins usually come as Kontakt libraries or
standalone plug-ins. Both the Originals series and BBCSO use a standalone plug-in compatible with AU, VST, and AAX.

Buy the sotware, but not the Microphone, the Mic. is a garbage, it's an USB-MIDI one and it doesn't work even properly and you have a lot of delay, even with an Audio Interface.
For a Mic i suggest you, to buy the RØDE NT1 5th Gen :)

The fun bit is that he is singing in totally different keys, if hitting any at all and the end result is still more or less coherent.

Doubler is great and all but Ngl it's annoying at least get a singer who can sing proper! Made the entire process not very enjoyable plus an actual singer would control the dynamics a lot better

For whatever it may be worth to other users, you could probably get a lot better end result by mapping that control to MIDI CC1 rather than 11. CC11 is just an over all volume control. CC1 is actually the dynamics of the instruments. I would map to that 1st rather than CC11. Although a far better result would be to just get a MIDI fader box and use that along with Dubler to control the multiple CCs you need to automate to make these libraries truly work.

Great tutorial and demo. I bought Dubler2 few weeks ago and still fight with this recurrent difficulty: when I sing into the micro, the melody/pitch on Ableton (or Dubler if Ableton off) won't be the same as the sound of my voice. Granted, I am a aweful singer but I can't find a fix to it, even when changing sensitivity in the "Assign" or "Play" section of Dubler. Anyone can give a hint or tip here? Thank you.

Hi Carl! If you want the pitch to follow your voice exactly without correcting to a scale, you can enable Pitch Bend in the Play Tab and set the Pitch Bend range to +-12. Then set the pitch bend range in whichever synth you're using to 12 as well so they match. You can switch between pitch bend mode's in the Assign Tab. TruBend will have Dubler 2 follow your voice exactly but Intellibend will make the note transitions smoother and more within the musical scale you're working in. If that still doesn't help be sure to contact our support team at help@vochlea.co.uk and they'll get right back to you!

@@VochleaMusic Thank you for your swift answer - appreciated! Got it, and I will make sure to try Pitch bend synchronized on both Dubler and DAW. Keep up with your informative vids on youtube, that's how we learn!

Do I need to pay extra to be able to use the Dubler 2 software? I looked on Spitfire and the orchestra packs on there ranged between £399 -£899 from what I saw. I couldn’t afford that at all. Is there any free to use plugins etc.. that I could use?

    • @VochleaMusic
      @VochleaMusic  8 місяців тому +1

Hi! The Dubler Studio Kit 2 comes with the DAW Ableton Live Lite, which includes hundreds of sounds and instrument presets you can use. You can find out more about what's included here: vochlea.com/products
In terms of Spitfire sounds specifically, in this video we mainly use the cheaper Originals libraries, which cost around 29 US Dollars: www.spitfireaudio.com/originals/

Hello! A final orchestral piece made solely with virtual instruments would definitely require many more hours of processing, automation and editing. This video's purpose is mainly to demonstrate how Dubler 2 and Voice-to-MIDI can get you going with ideas to begin your composition 🎤
