- High Speed and Power, Compact Design with Excellent Live-Bait Castability
These High Speed, Compact Leverdrags, with Powerful Gears and Drag Curves were designed for fly-lining live baits or chunks into the chum line on Long Range Stand-Up Tuna Boats, utilizing PowerPro with short top shots. Small Reel - Big Fish!
The TAC8II and TAC10II were designed for fishing 40-50lb PowerPro with a 30-40 Fluorocarbon leader (up to 13 lbs of drag at strike and 20 lbs at full), whereas the TAC12II and TAC16II were designed for fishing 65lb-80lb PowerPro with a 60lb-80lb Fluorocarbon top shots (up to 22lbs of drag at strike and 40 lbs. at full).
*Great reel, **enjoyable.fishing** recommend very smooth and I love that you can change from left hand to right hand so easily. Gave it a 4 on durability because I haven’t had it long enough to rate it. Doing good so far.*
Took my brand new Battle II 5000 for a spin yesterday for the very first time and I hooked a 20lb yellowtail using a Ugly Stik X2 (medium hard) rod ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . This combo was recommended on some website and it did not disappoint me. The reel is smooth, the drag click is pretty cool cause i think it adds to the excitement of fighting the fish, personally the drag is my favorite part. I use braid and 300 yards will fill the entire spool. This combo is my main setup from now on although I have to disclose I am new to fishing.
I need one to do some of the baja fishing.
Matt Watson from New Zealand just caught a swordfish over 300kg on the talica 50. 11 hours fight time. Pretty cool.
Patrick Parsons good catch. l caught a 800 lb swordfish off miami using a handline with 20 lb stren mono 20 minute fight
El dorado thats straight bs lol
@@kosyolekov1657 nah I was there !!! and it was old stren , only about 100 yards
Good tackle
im hooked

8&10 single speed are 420, 12&16 single are 440, 8&10 two speed are 480, 12&16 two speed are 500. not cheap, but well worth it.
Left handed talica would be a winner for your business the market is there a lot of people would buy them no matter how many time you say talica if it do not come left hand retrieve you loose a lot of market share
American made Accurate and Avet reels offer full line of lefty reels. Better value, better customer service and more sensitive to fisherman needs.
@@MarkSmith.CharkBait this man's statements are absolutely correct.
When is the 20 and 25 coming out?
Idtelos they have been out for 5 years but have been discontinued your loss tight lines
Why you would want to use such a nice reel for surf fishing is beyond me. All my surf gear is cheap stuff THAT WORKS, but I just don't like taking good gear around the sand.
Bo Taylor bo you cheap sake,
would the 16 size work good on the terez waxwing 8'0 heavy action would be fishing 60lb braid also could it handle it's max drag
Mark Waddell I would go with a shimano Tigra 80 wide 80 lb braid with 400lb florocarbon
Al Stoecker fucken troll hahaha
can you use it for heavy surf fishing
and still get 150yrds on a 13'
fishing to the max l dont think so tie your line tona kite fly it out about a quarter of a mile this should keep you away from the rocks and avoid cut offs tight lined
cane that I can use with the 25 and 50 talica
samuel gonzalez try a 10 foot bambo pole, should work good for you tight lines
Visit my channel and check the great Talica catching a 50lb-rooster fish in Panama in late January.
Great equipment, light yet incredibly strong.
Can you
catch grouper
Therrian Sandlin l can you maybe not
With these reels brass gears, maybe a grouper or 2 before something gives out..
seems like a version of an accurate with a lighter spool
@Pivo000 only backlash control u really need is your thumb
Kevin Kim no your incorrect dont post when you dont know what your talking about stick that thump where the sun dont shine tight lines
I want one. Please send me one. :)
༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽ bruh
can i use this as jigging reels?
Paul Khaw Waei Chuen l wouldn't try a 3 foot bambo or pool stick tight lines
I have the 16 two speed It cast like shit, if you plan on casting longer than 15 feet do not buy Talica 16. under or over it cast like crap. other than the casting it is smooth and get the job done.
Trinidad is better
Schuyler Cossaboom dont agree try Aruba
Underperforming and overpriced, thanks to price fixing by shitmano.
I have 2 talica 16 2 speed and a 12 2 speed and they are awesome reels. You know nothing about the Shimano talica reels.
@@andrewvillanueva3722 You overpaid for what you got. Sorry.
@@CharkBaitUSA I know you don't like Shimano reels. But I have used them for years and had no problems. Just maintenance every year. I have also seen numerous guys on the charter boats using too. You have your opinion and I have mine.
@@andrewvillanueva3722 Yep, and that's fair and as it should be. I have my problems on the marketing side of things for sure. On the product side, the gear ratio for the low gear is a deal breaker for big fish, it's too high to be useful by comparison to other manufacturers who don't count upon price fixing to push their gear at the retail level.
