Half way through my build (about to start the roof). Spending 2 hours putting everything in alpha-numeric order has been a real time save, thanks for the tip. My only other tip is have it all laid out near to where you are building, my garage is a 100ft from build and I’ve walked a marathon !
@@garciac4211 We start tomm. Im a home builder so i frame. Me and helper 7 hrs. I looked at online directions i have scaffold and ladders. I let you know. Oh yes 1000.00 i didn't look at directions till after i bid it , just a picture. I know now i under bid but with my exp helper and i 7 hrs. I hope haha
I build these for a livin. It takes me about 14-15 hours. It's a pain though. Also here (Melbourne Aus.) the slide comes in pieces... I find it easier to build the crows nest on the ground. Harder to lift ,but maybe it is worth it.
I agree 100%. We just moved it to our new house and it wasn’t too terrible to put the crows nest back up and would have been much easier to have built on the ground.
Thanks. Will give it a shot once I can get a helper. It’s the only thing I have left! Also, the slide was quite the puzzle to put together but we used longer bolts to hold the rods in place while we flipped it and worked it into the groove.
I noticed you skipped the slide. This has giving me the most trouble. It comes with a bend to fit in packaging and is very difficult to get in grooves.
Myself and one other guy set up a stage in 20 minutes that is supposed to take three people two hours all the time. ua-cam.com/video/Kh1WnSacePU/v-deo.html I’m not sure if it was exactly 16 but it was very close. There is a video of a guy on here building it solo in what looks like less than 8 hours based off the sun. Looks like he had prebuilt the rock wall and crows nest. Wish I would have seen his video before doing this. Also wish I would have stained it first. That took forever.

My garage was about 75 feet away. You are 100% correct 😂
Probably the most helpful video on UA-cam for the sky fort. Doing mine this weekend.
Charming chap! What a great Dad and thanks for the tips...I'll be doing it this Xmas for Grandkids. :). Thanks for posting.
How's it holding up after 2yrs. Is the wood good and strong?
Thanks for doing this video. Very helpful as I prepare to put one together
Thank you! It is a lot of work but your family will love it.
Hi there! I have read lots a reviews about needing to stain/seal all the pieces prior to building. What are your thoughts?
Well...... I'm finally gonna start this project tomorrow..... Hope it goes smooth
Let me know how it go I'm starting mine tomorrow morning
I have to give price to put together im thinking 600

@@robertbiondo9381 I just started today by myself it took me a few hours to do full inventory of everything. Keep me posted on how it goes.
Ours just arrived today. We are staring at it laughing doubting ourselves
Ours just came and after watching this video we may just use it as firewood 😂 How did you make out?
With the help of two pretty handy buddies, in your estimate, how long will it take to assemble? Thanks for sharing and showing your mistakes as well.
Kyle Coughenour building this now also. How long did it take you?
@@Zachsophone took us about 12.5 hours with the three of us.
I really think if you guys are dedicated you can finish in a day without a problem.
Did you use chip and dust to level the play set?
Can you move the ladder to the other side where the monkey bars are? Beautiful job!
Thank you. You should be able to. You would just have to drill a few holes and possibly use different hardware.
Did you switch out the speedy slide that originally comes with this playset, with the wave slide?
Pro tip. Build the whole crows nest on the ground and lift it into place.
Good Job. We all believed in you.
It is much appreciated.
How much would you charge someone to build something like this
Where did you purchase this playhouse swing set?
I got mine from Sams Club

I can’t get the crows nest to seat properly. I got one bracket on by loosening everything and then the other is off by more than an inch. Any tips?

@@patricklillge3659 yes , I usually start with the slide. It's a mental breakdown if I leave for the end
Is the slide in one of those 4 boxes ???
It came separately out of a box.

Sorry the slide came in one piece on this one.
building this for one of my best clients, im charging $500. Is that fair? 5 hours in already halfway through.
Charge more man. That's fast af though, just finished one in around 18 total hours alone
Quoted me $892 to have them assemble it! Boardman, Ohio
What would have been the labor breakdown cost to hire someone to prep/build? TIA
Here in MI a guy wanted 1200 to build it. Said it'd take him 3 days lol I'm 3 days in and almost done. 11 hr days but hey saving 1200 bucks.
@@kikiluxx6062 wow I'm not charging enough
@@GeeBaggelius yeah but as you see I didn't use him.. if you're getting work I'd say you're doing good.
Thank you
my wife and i are building this right now. not liking how they packaged this playset
I will try to do it with Woodglut plans.
