It depends. Here is about trying to much and doing to many uneccesary things that affects our progress. I try to apply that quote "sometimess less is more"

1st let me say I think you did a good job with the video but in case people latch onto a few statements & misinterpret Musashi's teaching. Let me give my take (my background is I've been teaching guitar since 1987 & martial arts in my own school since 1995). The idea is not that you don't need to work hard, persevere, analyze your technique, Etc. He did all of this to a level that is more than just about anyone. But there is a time & place for that when doing anything at a high level performing music, fighting, sports Etc. you need to relax & clear your mind (what you called flow or what a lot of athletes call being in a zone) basically you're allowing your body & mind to react in the way you've practiced trying too hard or to force things is why a lot of athletes choke in big games (which is why coaches say just go have fun to get players to relax & not overthink) because your body will react a lot better if you allow the subconscious to control it in the moment because things happen to fast for the conscious mind to keep up (whether playing 12 notes a second on guitar or countering a sword strike). But here is the key being focused & relaxed will not help you perform at a high level, if you haven't already been through countless hours of practice making sure you're efficient in your actions, that you understand the best strategies for the situation, you have analyzed (or had a good instructor that did) & fixed your mistakes then practiced all of this with lots of repetitions so that all of this is ingrained into your subconscious so that when you clear your mind you can do the right actions (the ones you've practiced).

As I watch this as a distraction. lol. Mindfulness seems deceptively easy, but is very hard. Probably only truly achieved it 3-4 times

Or maybe you applied it more but you didn't realised it cuz you were actually engaged in that moment

@@AnonymousW11 I wish, but I know I was definitely thinking about something else while engaging in something physical
