Only those who can face the void are able to reap and fully enjoy the benefits life has to offer. Some people are so blatant that they envy others not realizing everyone here on Earth has their own battle. We need to focus on becoming the most efficient warriors, not on other warriors.

The void is a state of mind. In Taoism, it cannot be taught. It can only be known.
“To reap the benefits” is that of having, and wanting attachments. Desire is a wall of fire that you would walk through to attain what is not there. To enter the void, one must avoid the fire.

    Being alone is an experience
The book of 5 rings is the best book I've ever read. The void is the path of walking alone. The best lesson ever.
And i get called toxic nowadays

You know that you call yourself a void by saying this right? Cause musashi's teachings is about you explore yourself, through discipline and training. "Be extra cautious about how you speak for yourself because the warrior within you listen to you and might get disshoned by your words"

These videos are pure and phenomenal content.
This reminds me how powerful the past can be if visited rightly, we keep searching for peace and self help books and podcasts here and there, little we realise that history has everything on the plate.
Keep up !! This is amazing.

I have made many attempts to enter the void itself. Not just channeling it, or accepting it, but being it. I have the knowledge of what needs to be done in order to enter into the void, but because of circumstances beyond my control, I am too distracted. I must have patience.

I never knew that the void was a concept to anybody but my weird brain. We all come from nothing and will go back to it. Nothing means anything just by itself, unless you give it meaning. The meaninglessness of life can feel crushing until you realize that because nothing has meaning, you are free to do whatever you feel like. There is infinite freedom in the void - a place to exhale and let go of all these troubling thoughts that come with modern life. Its not a concept of detachment, its a concept of willing attachment - a conscious choice more then being driven to.

Correction, miyamoto musashi has nothing to do with void, his book the path of walking alone is a guide to anyone that wants to explore the one place that every human being is really afraid to explore himself, from mind to soul.
Mind because you use to make a strategy and soul because the soul is the spirit of the warrior. Also Musashi's path of walking alone don't mean for someone to experience loneliness but solitude. Loneliness is an emotional detachment leads to isolation and regret, and for that fact is contrary to musashi's teachings. Solitude on the other hand is a mental state that give you the opportunity to become better than yesterday, have discipline and expand your mindset through study and make plans so you approach your everyday life as a calculated, dedicated, focused and purposefully soldier approach warfare. Musashi said "The approach in battle and everyday life should be the same"

So what musashi tries to explain is that by emptying your mind and clearing it you can achieve anything since your mind is free from standards, distractions etc? I’m a little confused

    • @jairoukagiri2488
      @jairoukagiri2488 10 місяців тому +2

He explains a lot, involving duality and unity in a multifaceted sense. It all involves mainly a self mastery grasp of your own mind, behavior and body but that involves wider comprehension.
Cleaning your mind like you do your body to a healthy perfection. One imbalance can create another.
Societal standards as it is steers people away from actual holistic thought and action in general. Not entirely but that's the topic of authentic and superficial living.
Someone who spends their time gazing into a river instead of being on some app, as an example.
Though obviously there is Zen and motorcycle rebuilding.
What is being spoken of is being so refined and stoic in the proper sense that you are a high self maintenance "Chad" machine of a genuine person. Or 'Sigma', the genuine achiever.
Not over achiever. Musashi bring extremely pragmatic. The Mind with No Mind mindset is a benchmark for martial arts generally in most good cases. Bring able to handle multiple attackers without bad reactions.
If you can keep your $#!T together in the middle of a warzone or board room, argument with relatives, etc is the end goal idea.
What is hard to explain impersonally is the facets of comprehension. Anxiety, doubt, actual flaws versus shallow ones.
Ultimately boil it down that way. In literal terms it's staying that frosty, but not being soulless. DEEP understanding, meditation wise it can't be explained in passing easily, or to someone rigid.? You can achieve mental states of Void, or stuff like Zanshin, outer or out of body awareness.
Void in eastern hermetics (loose term for this) also deals with resonance, thereby sound, the pulse in empty spaces. This is how it corresponds to life, the heart beats an empty and full rhythm.
Correspondence and Void= space principles, you can only see through clear water.. how do you perceive things in total darkness, matters of philosophy and sharp mind senses.
