  • Today I'm taking a look at LDXP event from CommandFest Tacoma, an in-person cEDH tournament that took place this past weekend. This event easily has the most unique meta breakdown of any I've ever covered, with no Tymna/Kraum, no Sisay, but plenty of the controversial new bird Nadu. I go over the meta of the event, then break down each of the deck lists that made top 16, and try to make sense of the format post MH3. The decks featured are Korvold, Nadu, Jenson Carthalion, Thras/Vial, Stella Lee, Magda, Kinnan, Erinis/Street Urchin, Najeela, Krark/Sakashima, Kenrith, and Atraxa.
    Let me know which of these decks was your favorite in the comments below!

    Is Nadu Summer real? What do you think of a top 16 without Tnk, Rog/Si, and Sisay? Let me know down below!

    • @yvesmathis5651

      Sorry but i cannot take any event seriously who is not proxy friendly - the data is always scewed.
      I mean how many list er fully optimised? Like 10% or what? You kinda cant say that it is representable of the meta.
      That beeing said - nadu summer isnt real - like urza summer wasnt real.
      In switzerland nadu tended to be shut down damn hard. One counter, one removal and it is gone, its not like kinnan who can bounce back into game. I think its about to stay as godo also stays but it wont be nearly as powerful as other things.
      But we will see if with the next swiss tournament changes my view next sunday but i doubt.

      Hi I’m the krark player xd. Ty Amelia. And yes a turn 3 win in the finals. Turn 4 in top 16. A turn 2 win in the Swiss. Was a successful tourney and when I have more time I’ll be after the top deck points myself.

    Hey I was the jenson/lurrus player! I think you end up casting jenson a lot more than people would expect. the filter is fairly relevant and it synergizes really well with j-will and bring to light. I probably wouldn't play j-will if jenson couldn't filter the red mana.
    I don't think i will be switching to ezio, while ezio is easier to cast jenson's filter ability is actually fairly relevant for supporting certain cards and I don't think he is that much more difficult to cast. ezio's abilities just feel entirely irrelevant

    Love the breakdowns of each deck and your content as a whole. I’m getting into the cedh space now after playing modern and legacy since 2013, have a few tournaments next month nearby I want to gear up to take on what deck would you recommend I do like the look of rogsi and blue farm from the content I’ve consumed and have a good understanding of a lot of the cards/combos just unsure of pace of the game and windows and those nuances plan to jam a lot of mtgo once I select a deck in prep.

    • @LemorasCards
      @LemorasCards  21 день тому +1

      Thank you! I think if you feel comfortable with the combos and just want to pickup a deck that's powerful those are both great options. I think Rog/Si is my favorite list post mh3 though blue farm will be a little more forgiving on some of those windows. If you want to jam fast Rog is your best bet, Blue Farm will give you a bit more time through the game to develop and reward good small decision making over the course of a game.

    i saw this coming, Nadu is going to dominate commander until it's banned. Nothing can compete with what it does. If someone sits down to play Nadu and the three other opponents aren't immediately looking to "arch enemy" that player they win. i'd hate to see a table where there's more than one Nadu.
    if i don't play Nadu, it will only be because my LGS punishes players for playing "Storm" or similar time consuming decks.
