We spend over $700 billion on the defense budget. Still have some troops fighting/serving in Afghanistan, a country most Americans can't spell correctly. And the Cartels run their operations along the southern border like business as usual. Drug runners, the migrant kids and adults who pay $$$ to the Cartels to gain access to the border region. The reality is insane. The governmental rules and laws need to change/adapt to the circumstances of the border region. Change the rules and a lot of the problems would disappear. You can't detain people (that have broken laws) and then let them go in less than 24 hours. Crazy policies.
