The Channel could probably do better answer for you...but yes, when its almost all men like this (spotted one female) in "uniform" loaded down, they are smuggling some sort of contraband. The people just wanting to move in can go to a checkpoint or officer and be well taken care of. Have you not seen the way they are given pre-paid debit cards, cash, free transport across the US, free lodging in NYC hotels and catered food? These DO NOT want to stay.

I have sleeping bag, about 2lb of weight and size like handball ball when compressed, declared comfort until +10 Celcium degrees but I'm from very cold climate originally so for me it's OK until 0 C. I'm hiker with big experience, had military exp includes covert ops in mountains, for me this blankets looks soooooo big and heavy. I was sure what guys who delivering big amounts of drugs have money to buy some hi-end backpack...

Look at the temps at 3:40 in the afternoon 46 degrees. it'll drop at least 30 degrees by nightfall. Those are wool blankets to get them from freezing.
