A plumber with a brain!! Superb thought process. I see few issues in this design, 1. Changing the filter materials need to break open the filter2. This can not be the ultimate filter, because it will never filter out fine sand and clay dissolved in water. 3. Possibility of organic material(ie, small leaf, bird dropping etc) degrading in this filter is high, which may produce odor in the stored water. To solve (1) Adding a threaded end cap in the top side of the filter, and replace/clean materials. (2) Add a 120 micron prefilter, mesh filter, Indian made, before this filter, then add a 5 micron cloth filter after this filter. Both available in amazon (Harit filter, plus 5 micron bag filter). (3) Solution to (2) will avoid this issue. Thanks a lot for sharing such good work!!

Sir, I got an issue in my filter. I constructed the filter as per ur video. For me 1) when I closed all the valves except inlet valve, water is leaking heavily from air valve.
2) when in normal flow if my kitchen pipes are closed then also water heavy leaking from air valve.
Filter is working good, except this water leaking from air valve issue.
Please guide me to correct this.

from where you got the air valve in my filter there is no air valve all time there is air blocking problem can it buy from all hard ware shop
