Picked up a MAMACOO's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from MAMACOO I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.
I'm glad you brought up the topic of weight distribution affecting wearability since it's generally overlooked. I'm also glad that you brought up the topic on a watch that I'm considering. :) I first learned of this with a Casio Duro. That watch only weighs 90g but almost all its weight is in the case since the resin straps hardly weigh anything. For this reason I almost never wear this watch anymore but at least it was an inexpensive lesson learned. I am glad to hear that you still don't regret your purchase of this PRX.
@@BraveBeaters Long Island Watches has a custom strap for the Duro in case you might be interested. It costs more than the watch. 😁 I've also considered just buying a Duro on bracelet.
I had the same problem with my PRX quartz, I've replaced the bracelet for an original leather strap, problem solved. The integrated bracelet looks great, but the butterfly clasp is pain in the *** if your wrist doesn't have the perfect size. I've got a Cartier with a butterfly clasp as well, well balanced but still a pain in the *** when air pressure is high and my wrist on a smaller day, butterfly clasp are generally not user-friendly.
Yes, I have bought from MAMACOO more than once. I even bought a new Omega Speedmaster which came with the fancy box and packaging. I am thrilled with all my purchases here. I would purchase from MAMACOO again for sure.
I like the Tissot Couturier, Quartz, same ETA F06.115 movement as in the Tissot PRX. But for everyday wear the Casio Duro on a Long Island Stainless Bracelet is perfect, and my “PRX” is the Casio Edifice EFB. 👌🏼
Lovely videography and from looks alone a stunning watch. I went through the exact same thing with a Ball racer chronograph a few years back, same wrist damage after multiple hours ... and after much frustration I had to give up and sell it on. The literal pains of being a watch enthusiast sometimes!
It's always good to hear different thoughts on watch models. I have the older panda PRX and yes the watch head is heavy compered to the bracelet but for my wrist it's OK. I have other mechanical chronograph watches on bracelets including Omega and Tudor that have a similar slight 'top heavy' feeling so maybe I'm just used to it or it might be just my wrist size. My most balanced chronograph is my now discontinued Speedmaster 1863 but many had issues with the bracelet on that model as well. Hopefully rubber and leather straps will be available soon as that green dial looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing. It just goes to show one size does not fit all.
Delugs did make a rubber strap for it, but not in green. I think your best bets would be the white strap. If you do buy it, I would love to see a review of it. I have been tempted by this watch a lot, but decided not to because I knew that ability would be crazy and should be on a sporty strap or tightly
I have a PRX and the bracelet looks great but it is uncomfortable to wear. The inside edge digs into the skin. I had to switch it to a leather. Love the watch.
If you guys consider to buy this watch, I would suggest to the alpina alpiner chronograph witch is better if we talk about quality. It is a prx contender, same goes with the Frederique constant chrono highlife
Great review of a watch I would never consider buying. Mechanical chronographs are bulky hard to read and expensive to service, and when a £30 Casio has 1/100th second stop watch with lap function......However, even I admit they do look cool 😁 . As you say, with a thinner movement, no date and on a matching rubber strap, that would look fantastic 👍
I have had the original white with gold hands version for a year now and I wear it loose it takes a little getting used to but it a bracelet after all and it is no different than a vintage Tudor big block in my experience. It’s a Valjoux after all
The ETA 2824 based Chronograph movement would be cheaper and thiner than the 7750. I am fortunate that mine fits nicely but I occasionally feel the imbalance too.
It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. MAMACOO watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?
I really used to want such watch I ended up getting the edifice from the prev review. I have a tissot sideral(god tier watch) I plan to add a prx 80 this holiday season
The dial looks great, but that date cutout with the white date wheel is horrendous. C'mon Tissot!! At least color-match the date wheel at this price-point. And I can totally see what you're saying about the imbalance of the watch. The watch is way too large and heavy for that bracelet. Same issue with the Q Timex chronograph, funnily enough.
That model is really big jump in price from de 3 hands version, for me it only cements how much of an amazing value something like a Bulova Lunar Pilot is, i guess mechanical chronographs will always be expensive.
Always thought the chrono was the best looking out of the series but to pay that price & have a bracelet that's not up to much with no other current options .... nah, & good luck on the wait .
Were you going to save 3mm of the thickness??? lol bro, c'mon :D That would make the watch thinner than a Patek lol the most they could remove from this case is like .5 mm, it be crazy if they got it under 14mm
Pagani design makes this chronograph watch using quartz , it's half the size of this one, and i promise you it gets so many comments from random people. I really want this watch in chronograph from Tissot but it's HUGE. I tried it at the boutique but it hurts my hand. Please Tissot consider making either a slimmer automatic or just do it as quartz as this watch is not wearable as it is now.
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MAMACOO 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
I was considering a Powermatic. Once I had it in hand I changed my mind and never looked back. Felt horribly cheap. It could only get better on a strap. Not for me.
I really like my three hand Powermatic 80. I got the dark green dial. I don't think I'd go for a chrono on that watch. The olive dial is eye-catching though. I don't care for rubber straps thougn. The only rubber strap watch I have is my Suunto Core which I use for shooting etc.
I tried the PRX watches at the store, but honestly, I was disappointed with the quality of the steel bracelet. It looked thin and simple-nice in photos but not fitting for that price range. On the other hand, the PRX quartz models have very basic dials, and recently, I saw a very small PRX for women, but it wasn't worth nearly 400 euros here in Spain. I prefer Seiko in that price range of watches under 2,000 euros.
At face value (pun intended) the Christopher Ward 12 looks similar but having considered the Tissot and then purchase the CW there’s really no comparison, not even close. Accepting that the model here is a chrono.
I offerd my blue waffle online and i get allot of bids. So a great watch all together. For me nah,not my watch. But in 70 years it will be sold for incredible prizes. My grandson will be happy
Funnily enough, MAMACOO's replicas are perfect for people who can actually afford a luxury watch. Because in those social circles, it wouldn't matter and everybody would just assume it's real.
