I live in Australia, and I have been lucky to see John Farnham in Concert 5 times from the 80's to the 90's. Every concert was an absolute pleasure to attend he is not only one of Australia's best singer's his songs were always great. Anthems that to this very day have me singing and dancing. I'm 56 years old, and I can still remember every word to all his songs. He has a stage presence like I have never seen in other SIngers. Unlike the singer's these's day's none of his songs contained expletives. He never got on stage and swore like the singers today. He would come out and put on a show using humour stories and involved the audience to the point where you felt he was singing to you. Of course, we would always yell out to get him to sing Sadie the Cleaning Lady, and he would always tell us to Nick off, which was always so funny. He never dropped any F Bombs or made himself out to be better than his fans. He is humble, down to earth, and a dam proud Aussie. When I look back at all his concerts, he played at Rod Laver Area in Melbourne back in the 80's and 90's it only seems like yesterday he would come back on stage to play an encore an end up playing 3 or 4. He is one of Australia's True Aussie Icons and a Legend in so many years.
Not sure if you know but, due to you and other overseas reactors discovering John and the release of the documentary, 12 of the top 20 albums last month were John's. So Thank you for bringing Our John to the attention of the World
While I'm sure that Nick has some influence, the main reason for this is that the John Farnham documentary was aired on free to air TV, almost immediately Whispering Jack and a few other albums flew up the charts.
It was iTunes downloads so I'm not sure how big that really is. It was reported on incorrectly as aria charts. But he did make the real aria charts! It was nice to hear from Gaynor and his son Rob that John is enjoying the wave of success from the film despite apparently being a bit mystified by it.
People seriously overrate the impact of reactors. Just look at the comments, the overwhelming majority are from people who are already well aware of the artist. Very few people are actually introduced to artists new to them via reaction channels.
How much deserved and long overdue is his soaring success though!? Doesn't matter where you come from or your favourite style of music... John Farnham's voice is as good as, if not better than, the best voice anyone out there has ever heard ever. His vocal range is almost inhuman, it's that insanely good. 🎙HE'S THE VOICE, NO NEED TO UNDERSTAND IT. HE MAKES A NOISE & HE MAKES IT CLEAR🎙
I was lucky enough to be part of John’s security team on that particular night. Was one of the best jobs ever and wow what a great guy to work for. Just one of the nicest guys you could ever meet and what a voice!
Watching the John Farnham doco The Voice was so emotional & incredible. I’ve loved him my whole life❣️ If you can view the Ch 7 Special of old film from the vault was also fantastic💝
I paid for my DVD of Finding The Voice. I think it is released in 12 more days and there are a lot of Americans and Brits that want it. They would need an all areas player to watch it wouldn’t they? Thank you for playing John. I just wish I could see him.
I love how you're still discovering John's songs and there are also some funny little videos online of rehearsals, interviews and tv shows, where John makes an appearance and he will make you laugh, make you cry and impress you all at the same time. Keep going, there is still so much more out there. Love your reactions and the fact that you have been a big influence in regards to getting John Farnham introduced to the world, thankyou. 🇦🇺👍👍👍❤️
Great to see you acknowledging Lisa, Lindsay, Venetta, Brett, Wayne and the rest of Johns tight and loyal "family" more often. Nic has played a critical role on UA-cam in the views of Johns performances going from a couple of 100 thousand to over 4 million. Our Nic IS a bit of a John Farnham authority
@@kenalcorn I think Venetta Fields was working on a solo album at this time . Venetta appeared in The Have A Little Faith In Us music video and that was it . Venetta Fields didn’t appear on the album’s Romeo's Heart or Then Again… Venetta was there for Talk Of The Town tour in 1993/94
The whole "young John Farnham" thing at the start is just a classic example of Australian irony and sarcasm - it's a big part of how we communicate and our sense of humour.
It warms my heart to see someone love and appreciate John's immense talent, as much as us Aussies do. Thank you for your showcasing him as often as you do❤❤❤❤
John never just phoned it in... and that shows. Also, I love watching your reaction videos: the sheer joy you exhibit it also a wonderful thing. Stay singing because you've a beautiful voice, yourself.
I love your reaction to every one of johns songs I grew up listening to John Farnham in Australia 🇦🇺 brings back so maney happy memories of my childhood I love how he interacts with the audience he is such an amazing singer & lovely person so are you thank you for bringing all of johns music back you are my favourite you tuber by fair who gives him so much praise that he deserves thank you 🙌♥️🏆
Another great reaction, John can do anything! One performance that seems to be overlooked but is just as amazing is: LISTEN TO THE WIND, and I don't have to remind you to listen to it LIVE, do I. He is such a wonderful human being, and a born entertainer; just loves it when everyone is having a great time at his concerts.
FYI- there’s now a second documentary to check out too- 7news spotlight: John Farnham, the lost tapes…. Not as good as finding the voice but a lot of bits they don’t cover in finding the voice, mostly videos that were locked up in channel 7 archives for decades
Olivia and John are British born Australians, both born in 1948. Both began singing aged 18yrs in 1966 on Bandstand, a Sydney Saterday night program. They have been friend since 1966. I know nothing of their early years but John at 74 years old is still on his first marriage, he has takes his best friend and managers widow very definitely under his wing, he obviously is very caring where any woman is concerned.
Your reactions to John bring souch joy to me and many others Aussies. And even though you have reacted to many of his videos....toull be happy to know there are still so many more out there for you to diacover. We are so lucky that many of his concerts were recorded and that he was on TV so many times...either performing his latestest hits at the time, being interviewed, starring or guests appearing in TV shows. ❤❤ keep up the great work and i hope John will apway be your numero uno❤
Good one Nick. John really put his entertainer hat on for this one. There is another version from a tv show where it is done more acoustically with John even playing an acoustic guitar, well worth a watch. ua-cam.com/video/noi07oNdhHk/v-deo.html Cheers, take care brother.
THAT'S RIGHT . I remember his interview with a family friend & Entertainment journalist ( Australian ) Richard Wilkins on the bonus CD that came with the Romeo's Heart album that this song is apart of . 😪 : Can't remember the title of the interview ( branded on the bonus CD , wish I still had it with me - I lost it in a move of address ) . I remember he said he faxed the song writers of this song , permission to change the lyrics to " true love's when your heart's on fire " and they replied back with " that's fine , but we won't let you have any royalties from the song " which John Farnham laughed about as that's not what he was after . ♑️✍️🇳🇴🇦🇺
Unpopular opinion, at that stage of his singing career I feel that he turned to yelling and screaming rather than actually singing at his concerts, especially at The Last Time concert. I prefered the 80s-90s and more recent concerts, as his singing came more natural and less of the scream/squall.

He was ahhh lively that night 🤣. I remember it well. There is a reason he didn't release it on dvd
A beautiful human with an amazing voice. Lucky to watch him live so many times. Get well John we love you. ❤️
Your joyful reactions to the vocal powerhouse that is 'our John' always put a smile on my face 😊
I have just found your UA-cam. I just love that you love John’s music ❤
This looked like the first song of a gig also! So this is him barely warmed up!
Watching the John Farnham doco The Voice was so emotional & incredible. I’ve loved him my whole life❣️

Wayne Nelson ?
Bassist Wayne Nelson was busy taking control of LRB by that time in the late 90’s
Joe Creighton was the bassist again with this tour
@@markjames3522 I meant, in general, not just this Concert. There is no Venetta either on this one

Honestly I almost enjoyed it more as it had more clips that aren't already on UA-cam. I will never get over the vasectomy story 😂
One of my favourites.
Great to hear Johns free of cancer, Great Aussie

Ah, Romeo's Heart... My first album of his, had to make do with the parents' LPs until then...
Associated tour was also my first concert
Here is a song of John’s that you should listen too.”Always The Same” is a song he recorded while on stage and the audience was a part of this song
❤❤❤ 🎶🎶🎶
from the same concert, a great duet by Lisa and John ua-cam.com/video/dh4WUYpdIYg/v-deo.html
Are you aware John is not well. We in Australia have not seen him anywhere for ages.
The original lyrics were 'true love is a house on fire', John Farnham didn't like it so changed the lyrics. ❤
