Ladies and gentlemen this is why he's Held the Title of "THE VOICE" for almost 40 Years ive said before and ill say it again Unlike singers these days John Uses No Auto tune or Any machine etc to Improve His Voice He even Doesn't use NO Falsetto despite What some of y'all people say Think of the Bee gees They sing in complete Falsetto now think of how John Sings its NOTHING absolutely Nothing Alike to the Bee gees in the way of using Falsetto ...John has a Naturally gifted singing voice Able to Hit notes Most singers think impossible or have difficulty reaching He is so gifted that his Voice Fits all Genres of Music Ive been a Farnham Fan since 2010 That was the first time i discovered him in Intermediate school (Middle school) ive Heard him sing Pop, Rock, Country, Jazz, Blues, Soul, Opera, Etc the list goes On The Best way i can Describe Johns voice is "ONE SIZE FITS ALL" no matter what style of music you give him i think you'll find his Voice is Compatible Will all types ....What an Absolutely Talented Gifted Singer/Songwriter what an Inspiration ❤️❤️❤️👌👌

You're right - John has one of the finest voices ever to grace the world stage. There's no question. But there's absolutely no reason to disrespect the Bee Gees. They're entirely different.

John definitely uses falsetto, albeit rarely - there’s an interview where he talked about his falsetto not being particularly strong up until about the Age of Reason album, and he worked on it to strengthen it.

Back in the day when John’s albums were riding high on the Aussie charts, his live concerts were truly an experience to savour & cherish, especially when he’d begin cracking jokes about his mother-in-law, a woman he’d often refer to as the Dragon 🤣🤣🤣

@@abbeyshell23 … I would always bust a gut laughing at his mother-in-law jokes as I could so relate to how he felt at the time but my mother-in-law now is a lovely lady who I get along great with now, especially since our daughter was born 17 months ago, making her a grandmother for the 4th time. She’s also a retired maternity nurse, so any medical help we need is “on call” 24/7. Farnham is just different from other male singers. Can sing any genre. I once made a musician friend listen to Farnham's studio stuff. My friend shook his head at a couple of parts. When I said "impressive lead vocals, right?", he told me he was listening to the high harmony. There in the background to already crazy singing was the man doing insane stuff. There have been a lot of truly great male vocalists, but how many of them will sing anything from from a country song to AC/DC at the same concert? You Aussies have been spoiled with this. :) Thankfully, there's UA-cam nowadways.

I cannot remember a time in my life when John wasn’t at the top of my list of singers - his was the first album I ever bought (Looking through a tear - 1970). With the G.O.A.T you get the best live performances vocally then we get the mic stand spinning while not missing a note. He leans down to shake the audiences hands while still singing, then with all that the man is a comedian as well. John Farnham is the best live performer ever. And my wife and I went to his concert in New Zealand 2019
and he never missed a note didn't matter high or low. Just an amazing fellow in general.

The bass player (Hulk Hogan aka Wayne Nelson was with Little River Band) The second guitarist you already know, is Phil Buckle and was with Irwin in Southern Sons.... all of the members , regardless of who stepped in for the originals if they were temporarily unavailable, were always the best of the best ...musically and vocally.... great band...having said that.. you need a great leader to make them want to return again and again....John is that person.... these guys dropped everything to either record, do live shows or tour whenever John felt the need (or came out of retirement again hahaha)... speaks volumes of the type of person Farnsey really is.

The beautiful thing about your content is you have no idea how much Australia has craved recognition in the American market.
Australians with any music industry experience all know how the industry here cannibalizes its own artists. And they never put enough effort into international promotion.
All of our artists who made it overseas had to move there and start again and make it for a second time.
And so many of them can't even afford to do that because they will lose the money they can make here(which is a decent but not instant millionaire status like a hit in america does)
In my mind the single biggest Nod to John Farnham that America has ever given was the movie HOTROD starring Andy Samberg and The Lonely Island guys.
Middle of the movie just stops and "You're The Voice" starts playing and everyone loses their mind and starts looting and destroying everything whilst the cast mime the song.
Literally such a silly movie but i always wondered why they did this scene and who the dude who chose the song was.
Never heard a John Farnham song anywhere besides this haha
