John definitely uses falsetto, albeit rarely - there’s an interview where he talked about his falsetto not being particularly strong up until about the Age of Reason album, and he worked on it to strengthen it.
Back in the day when John’s albums were riding high on the Aussie charts, his live concerts were truly an experience to savour & cherish, especially when he’d begin cracking jokes about his mother-in-law, a woman he’d often refer to as the Dragon 🤣🤣🤣

I think we took this band and even John for granted back then. Watching this now, every musician on the stage is wonderful! I was there too for this concert after finishing high school :)
Classic. I love how you recognise John Farnhams talent and voice. You can tell you really enjoy it. Well music in general, obviously. I might start a channel, 'Melbourne Baker Reacts to That Singer Reacting to John Farnham Songs.' Instant hit!!
Farnham is just different from other male singers. Can sing any genre. I once made a musician friend listen to Farnham's studio stuff. My friend shook his head at a couple of parts. When I said "impressive lead vocals, right?", he told me he was listening to the high harmony. There in the background to already crazy singing was the man doing insane stuff. There have been a lot of truly great male vocalists, but how many of them will sing anything from from a country song to AC/DC at the same concert? You Aussies have been spoiled with this. :) Thankfully, there's UA-cam nowadways.
A wonderful reaction yet again Nick,... to our all time favourite singer and phenomenal performer, John Farnham, with his awesome band of 'the best' musicians ever!!!
Thanks for doing this one too bro! Awesome Reaction! You also need to realise that this was the last song of a 2-plus hour concert of John absolute belting out 20-odd songs. And his voice is immaculate. He’s a freak of nature. Absolute legend.
I Just love watching your reactions, appreciation and enjoyment Nick, of my very favourite singer/performer John Farnham and his band! I’ve been a lifelong fan, since I was a little girl in the 1970’s and so lucky to have attended a dozen or so of John’s live concerts throughout the years in Australia, including a special one at the 70th Toowoomba Flower/Music Festival in 2019, (John was also 70!), ..I attended with my 16 yr old daughter and 84 year old Mum!💕🎶🌈
No need for me to preach to the converted here. We all know John is the Master. Any genre, any key, any where...only thing better than watching John Farnham, live is watching you react to him
I so enjoy watching you get into John just as we did when we were in the audience. I cannot remember a time in my life when John wasn’t at the top of my list of singers - his was the first album I ever bought (Looking through a tear - 1970). Sure I had crushes on others, seeing he broke my heart and married, but no one has ever topped his voice, stage presence and sheer genuine personality. I wish you could have experienced him live like we have Nick.
The other guy on guitar is Phil Buckle from Southern Sons to. A brilliant song writer who wrote most of their songs and a few for John like "Burn for you" One of the nicest guys around. He lived on Canterbury Rd in Melbourne and we had a awesome conversation about song writing.
The bloke with the bald spot is Wayne Nelson, he is an American who still performs with the Little River Band "cover band" that tours the US. I call them a cover band as they aren't a patch on the original.
Oh I wish we could time travel Nick....How would you like to be at this concert front row and centre? lol Great reaction as always...and yes less is more with pausing lol just saying....I've said it before but I sit here and grin away at your enjoyment of this master of vocals....every time..
With the G.O.A.T you get the best live performances vocally then we get the mic stand spinning while not missing a note. He leans down to shake the audiences hands while still singing, then with all that the man is a comedian as well. John Farnham is the best live performer ever. And my wife and I went to his concert in New Zealand 2019 and he never missed a note didn't matter high or low. Just an amazing fellow in general.
