For anyone wondering yes you can use your previous install of MO2 , I just created a new global instance and made sure to set my directories correct and then copy mods and profiles over.
Okay cool, Nice to know before I ger my hands dirty lol, because this really doesnt explain how to use this if you already have modded Anomaly... I guess I'll just download a fresh Anomay, because I tinkered with it a bit before I started eventually started using MO2 rather than manual installations. Then I can just make another instance, and keep one as Anomaly, and one as Anomaly EFT just until I decide which mod list I like more lol

I don’t see why not, the only issue I would see with it is that it’ll overwrite certain files so I’m not sure about the load order for it.
But I don’t think it’d be a problem.

Hi, I have a question. I did everything you explained in the video and everything came out correctly. Now I have a problem, do I have to activate the mods within the game or are they already active by default?
They should be active automatically if you have the correct profile selected

1. Open MO2
2. To the right of the profile drop down menu there will be 4 buttons.
3. Click the button with the screwdriver and wrench
4. Click “install mod” and locate your mod file

For example must it be unzipped and placed in the MODS file folder ?

@@TheJohnny50000 as far as I’m aware you select the zip file and it should do the rest for you, I’m fairly new to Mod Organizer so I’m also learning as I go. I'm really wanting to experience stalker for the first time but with updated graphics and mechanics as shown here. Are you able to play the vanilla campaign with this mod list or is the gameplay completely new and put together by mod creator? Thanks.
If you’re really looking to experience the STALKER EXPERIENCE, then I’d recommend starting with the base game trilogy, after that I’d jump into a modded experience as mods give the games a whole new life
as far as im aware you should be able to play the story mode like normal
@@Lvzeeey I guess it depends on what’s considered vanilla, to me by definition it means a game with no modifications or alterations. Anomaly is technically mod pack aswell.

Damn. Did everything correctly, got to making my character and choosing my starting loadout, clicked start and instant crash.....Killed my mood in even trying to play/fix it lol
I’m sorry to hear that, but crashes should be expected when playing a modpack with more than 220 mods in it. There will always be hiccups once a game has been modified.
If you do end up giving it a shot again I’m sure you’ll enjoy your experience! Or you can always try GAMMA which comes with an installer

Sorry for the super late reply! I have not experienced that issue no, the only real problem I’ve had was a few anomaly glitches where it’s textures wouldn’t load so the would be polygons instead.
As for mods, I have basically all EFP mods enabled, along with a few that I installed myself. My mod order has not been touched apart from an updated FDDA(Food, drinks, drugs animations).
I’d mention your issue in the discord if you haven’t already!
Hello comrade, thanks for the tutorial and everything, but I have a little paranoia with something.
One anti virus program that I have don't let some "powershell.exe" archive be donwloaded when I was doing the MO2 part. And that could be a possible virus. I have a little paranoia 'cause I had a trouble with a archive in February an since then every rare things come out, I freak out.
That archive comes with the Mod Organizer or was a false positive?
My antivirus hasn’t flagged anything, but I’ve seen some report that it’s flagging it as a virus. I’m certain it’s a false positive, as if it was a virus there’d be lots more reports of it. That being said, install it at your own risk, I didn’t get flagged so I didn’t mention it in the video.
Hope you end up figuring it out, and the devs are always available to help within the discord!
Do you have a recommended activated mod list for EFP ?
I am having trouble with mod conflicts.
Not all mods in the mod pack play nice with each other.
I can't enter certain parts of the map and I can only play the game with ALL mods activated.
When I pick and choose I get crashes and or have to start a new game.
I do not, no. I have all mods enabled and haven’t messed with them all too much as I’d want to play it will all mods enabled. If the game continues crashing I’d send the crash report to the developer within the discord for a better solution.

CANT LOAD PROFILE/PROFILE NOT SHOWING FIX
It seems at 4:30 when RIch clicks games folder it resets to the MO2 folder. So select the MO2 folder inmstead of EFP folder in the Create a New Instance section

I may just be bad at modding because I am very new to this scene but on the step at timestamp 4:27, my Mod Organizer always says that the folder does not seem to contain a game Mod Organizer can manage. I do not know if I have somehow missed a step, downloaded something wrong, or cannot run it on windows 11. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You’re selecting the folder in which Anomaly.exe is located within?

In Mod organizer I don't know what to check / uncheck
because I don't know what e.g. FIAB or DNPCAV mods (and many others) do.
Not that I know of sorry. You can try looking up the mods on Moddb to find out more about them, but I'm not actually aware of any modlist for the modpack.

if i already have a stalker anomaly game file with MO2 and other mods do i have to make another folder for EFP and another MO2? or is there a way that i can combine so i can switch between my own anomaly and efp in the same MO2?
I’m not too positive on this one. Haven’t used MO2 all that much prior to this. I’m sure you could give it a go, but make a backup first.
How do you get rid of the little reshade update reminder on the top of the screen? Im in game and everything is working great, but that little reminder is still up there..

I only have on drive and that is C. I cannot partition out more - my system wont let me for some reason. I follow these steps and the profile doesn't show up - is there another work around?
Not that I know of no, You dragged all files into the appropriate areas? Portable instance created?
So I've installed EFP, runs perfectly. One main issue is that I'm not getting any audio and I'm not really sure whats causing the issue. I've also tried using the sound workaround but to no avail. I'll be reinstalling everything and hopefully I'll catch where I messed up previously.
Let me know if it worked out for you! If not, I’d recommend asking around within the discord, I myself have had weird texture errors for anomalies where they just appear as squares.

Hi, question: which files can you safely delete after installation? This is for extra disk space
all zip files I guess, I wouldn't recommend deleting game files.

Nice tutorial. Hey I changed the keybind for crouch to C but every time I crouch now my quick knife slash deploys. Is there a way to turn off the quick slash?

C is the default key for melee

I did everything as the video said and i watched it 8 times in a row to get evrything right but when i hit RUN in MO2 it just loadss up the base anomaly with the Reshade added only...
You set the profile to EFP 3.0? and watch the updated install guide instead, it's pinned in the comments. If you continue to encounter issues the dev's asked that all questions be referred to them in the discord.

@@Dunder-D I just looked into it, I can definitely make a video on it, maybe even this weekend some time, but if you don’t want to wait, EFP Desolation is essentially installed exactly the same way that regular EFP is installed. Figured I’d me mention it incase you don’t want yo wait for the video, but if you’d rather wait for the video, I’m gonna try for this weekend!
@@itzKEYOS I tried to install it but some files just dont get compressed, i dunno if there's something wrong on my end or i'm just doing something wrong. I did get it to start but some of the text are now super pixelated and i can barely make it out what they say.
Followed the video step by step exactly in every way, tried both Global and Portable instances and still no EFP 3.0 profile shows up...
I'd recommend sending this within the EFP discord as I don't know what would be causing it if you say you followed it step by step. The dev's will have a better response for you!
Make sure you install EFP and MO2 directly within one of your drives (C: drive, E: drive, F: drive, etc…) other wise the install will not work as it’s supposed to.
Many of you are ignoring this step which leads to the EFP 3.0 profile not showing up.
I did exactly as you showed everything but it still does not show the profile. I double checked and did every step correctly.
it's on the same drive (I only have one) but not showing up anyway.

@@somename6955 Thanks for the response. I actually found my issue. I don't remember exactly what it was but when I made sure that everything was in the correct folders, something along the lines of the MO2 still trying to refer to the old file path, was causing it not to work.

I installed it exactly like you said and it works flawlessly: One question though : it seems I don't have in-game (when I am playing, there is no background music running). Does this come from a mod or how? I miss the atmospheric music from the game :(. It's not an issue from the sounds in the menu, I double-checked.
It may be one of the mods, I’d check some of the sound mods, I’m not too familiar with everything EFP adds/removes, I’ll check with the developer! Honestly now that you mention it when I played I don’t remember much if any background music.

Need help with the discord the verification doesnt work and I've been trying to access for days. am i missing something?
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen the discord verification process. Are you requiring extra help or?
not sure why but for the built in reshade preset options they are only selectable in the main menu and not when i go into the actual game. im on DX11, i tried reinstalling reshade on all 3 of those DX11 exe's, they all show that reshade is already enabled on them saying "uninstall or update" so just not sure why those preset options disappear when the actual game. if anyone can help that would be great!! great tutorial otherwise, never used mod organizer before so thanks for the help.
Are you still able to open the reshape menu in game though? Or does that stop functioning aswell? I think I saw a report like this the other day in the discord, but I’m not sure if they ever came to a conclusion as to what caused it.
If I install the mod the progress I made before installing will be lost?
It shouldn’t overwrite your existing saves, but it may not spawn the new items etc… so I would recommend starting a new game either way.

when you say to our m02 folders do you mean the folder we created in the efp folder
You shouldn't have an MO2 folder within your EFP folder. two directories, one C:\GAMES\EFP and C:\GAMES\MO2 or whatever drive you used(C:,E:,F:)

it doesn't let me transfer the bin file into EFP folder, says i need permission to do it even though it has admin

Everything worked like a charm but I can't get rid of the bar on top by pressing the home button, any ideas?
Not entirely sure why the shaders menu isn’t opening for you, have you tried alt+tab, going back in the game, and then pressing home? Or reinstalling the shaders

Night Vision don't work, I keep tapping Letter N on my keyboard, nothing appears on my screen on like the actual night vision , what do I do?
I don’t remember how I solved this issue, but I too had it and I would recommend getting in touch with the developers to see what their fix is
To use NV don't "tap" N. Long press N

You followed it step by step? Including launching Anomaly once before continuing with the installation? And try both a portable instance and the other one.
JSGME Mod enabler work on this or just download MO2?
At the time of the how to video it was just mo2, I’m not sure if jsgme is compatible or not, but all the work is done for you if you use MO2

I believe there’s a hot fix patch for expedition to make it compatible, you’d have to google that yourself though
No, it is not compatible. Expedition is its own modpack
I’ve done this from start to finish twice and each time I make the instance none of the mods show up and I’m like 99% im following this guid on point
You made the folder within one of your drives? It can’t be created within a user folder.

I’m not sure, I personally don’t play EFP so you’d have to look into it. I’m assuming it’s got to do with item animations

Check in the discord, the developers will have a better answer for you, I just know how to install the EFP Files.
It may be within your mod manager menu ingame.

Yes a clean install for anomaly is required for this mod pack, separate from your Anomaly game itself

I hope this doesn't come off rude, but please read the title, and the pinned comment, there is an updated guide, using 7zip to extract, please try it following the new guide and then if you continue to run into problems please use the discord (developers ask me to send everyone their way)
when I am finished with everything and launch mod organizer, nothing shows up under mod name I've followed every step and nothings there help pls 💀💀💀
Where is it installed? What’s the directory for it? And you set a portable or global instance?

Everything worked until I tried to run the game launcher and it just keeps on crashing

I’d recommend checking with the Mod pack developers, I wouldn’t be able to give a proper answer as I honestly don’t know.

@@jackloker1733 Would you be willing to re-attempt the install by extracting via 7zip to see if that’s the cause of your problem? Winrar is known for messing with the EFP files while extracting so 7zip is recommended

Watch the updated install guide, and if you still have problems, refer to the discord as the dev team has asked that all questions go to them.

You launched the game once before proceeding with the rest of the install? And have you tried both a portable and a global instance? Some people were having better luck with portable, others were using global. I’d give that a shot, if not check in the discord, the devs are very active

Where did you install MO2 and Anomaly/EFP? You’re confident you followed step by step? Have you tried re-installing it.

You moved all MO2 files into the MO2 folder? And does it give you a crash report? If so send that to the crash report channel in the discord.

I found the fix yall. Do not install the EFP or everything at all on User Specific directories like Desktop or etc. Make sure it's just in the drive itself.

Yeah, it’s been mentioned in the comments a few times now.
