This is geared towards the new players, starting their first foray into the hell (I mean, fun!) of EFP.
Hope this guide will help a bit, I explain a good chunk of the more important features, and give you some advice for helping you out.

6:20 backpacks (with some titan or aluminium crate) can be equiped by party followers. Also they can benefit from artifacts that increase the load capacity (make sure they wear proper armor with empty slot for it). For example - one of my companions can carry 100 kilos on his back!

I started with EFP, but switched to GAMMA after a few hours. Glad I did it, I enjoyed GAMMA more. I'm sure EFP is good too though if you get used to it. Great video.

Why did you switch to GAMMA and why do you find it better? I heard that GAMMA is a bit grindy because you need to eat and drink all the time? (Just started GAMMA)
@@bennemans92 I found the progression in GAMMA more interesting than EFP. I never bothered with crafting in Anomaly, but you're very dependant on this in GAMMA. Toolkits are the biggest treasure you can find. Fixing up your first gun feels so rewarding. With EFP you can just buy the guns, but they're so insanely expensive that you feel like it's just a money grind. Also, the magazines mod installed by default in EFP drove the crazy. I don't want to manage bullets into my mags. This level of micro-management is a step too far. Another point would be the visuals. GAMMA has better and more consistent graphics, UI included. A clearly defined style, and using original outfit design, but with enormous variety in appearances. The outfits in EFP stand out too much and have real performance issues.
@@Hrimstal Yeah honestly the economy in EFP is silly, Its not hard just super tedious. Though adjusting that and earned goodwill made the game way more fun for me atleast. GAMMA sounds cool but I love having to load magazines so idk :/

I run with hunters kit and got two full Surv12 kits from a zombie. That was a pretty nice find. Money saved is money earned after all.
There was a lot that frustrated me when I first started EFP but I've gotten more used to them. Main thing annoying me still is sleepiness, I might have to look into making sleep replenish more energy because last time my guy's sleep was fairly low (had just turned yellow) and I had to sleep for 14 in-game hours for the bar to fill up. That seems a bit excessive to me.

@@WaveysGamingAdventure It is consistent for me, I usually eat after waking up but I'm never extremely hungry or thirsty when I sleep so I don't get it.
Just a tip: if you game is draining fps, try removing the hd models mod in the MO2. If you have an older nvidia gpu, NIS works pretty well with this game.
Feels kinda weird playing anomaly rn w all this stuff going on, but efp is by far my favorite mod pack ever made! Love the content!

Just started EFP last night so this is super helpful. Also for anybody that wants more “Tarkovness” there’s a weapon sway mod that’ll work with EFP.
Edit. After more testing it looks like some of the weapon already have a sway animation so when you use this mod you’ll have two animation playing on top of each other for those weapons.
Is it buggy for you? I feel like whenever I use that mod it’ll just randomly break sometimes.
@@MissingCredentials well yes and no lol…after some more testing it looks like some weapons already have an idle sway animation when ADS so you’ll get two animation playing on top of each other with the sway mod. Never had any crashes tho
@@MissingCredentials Personally I disabled it after I noticed that. And apparently asking about getting that mod to be compatible with EFP in the Discord is frowned upon for some reason…the author of sway mod was allegedly banned for asking.

I started playing EFP again, but the payment is 4000-8000 roubles and medical items cost like 70% of your budget so I started killing bandits and not wasting my time on stashes, If I will have luck I can find a AK and repair it
so I tried to install and play this modded stalker anomaly. But every time I’ve tried to run a mod specific stalker anomaly; like Radiophobia, Expedition, Gamma, and EFP , they would run once and never run again… I don’t know what’s going on? The only one that’s working is the stalker anomaly file i modded myself.
still on? how to rebind the right mouse button zoom? i cant find it on the mod manager setting in game.

Thanks for video. I have one question. How to make graphics look like yours? I don't like graphic mods that comes with EFP, but i dont know how to turn them off. I want to play EFP with default anomaly graphics. Any suggestions?

I would use some advice of witch modpack should i choose?
Had some time with little to none modded Anomaly, i don't like to fiddle with crafting and repairing much. I'm just making containers out of scraps and some medical items, i'm selling gun and outfit parts to the mechanics, old ammo to Eko's, meat and corpse parts to Butcher.
I really like HD models with Morth's mods of some factions beeing added, because of sharper contrast between realistic, tactical npcs and fantastic abominations of the Zone.
On the other hand, GAMMA have some more side tasks witch i think are very much needed in plain Anomaly, where they are very simple and boringly repetitive.
Should i go with EFP or GAMMA with HD models added??
Both are similar, but take a little different approach to STALKER
EFP is more focused on action, while GAMMA is more focused on survival/scavenging
GAMMA does rely heavily on crafting/repair. But it’s easier & more intuitive than regular Anomaly.
If you have the chance to try both, that’s my recommendation. Otherwise try which one you think you’d enjoy more, and give it a go!
I now could play both and they have their pros and cons in comparison. But I think with some balancing Gamma goes further cuz of more quests.
In efp I feel like "got hit? last save pls" cuz no cms or other overpriced meds to make a difficult. (in efp their is no scav run) ^^ but fairly speeken. Enemy's like u die also very quick, boars need one well shotgun hit to die which is good. I personally hate bullet Sponge's enemy's. Hits should show effects like dogs can't run anymore.
Gamma is for me like "just go to the marked places and die" no stash loot at all, enemy's eat bullets to breakfast. But prices and rewards are better balanced then efp.
Visually both are great. Gamma is a bit darker in the atmosphere I would say and a bit sharper. But I like the npc models in efp more.
Overall both are great and amazing. But for me personally they need to be more balanc for accessability.
Because this balancing is possible I would recommend you to give both some time and then fine tune it to your taste.

@@NikitaGal31 nope, it actually looks like efp but I see there are some changes that are not suitable for my playstyle
@@NikitaGal31GAMMA is too reliant on repairing things, so much so that there is little gameplay variety due to only having 1 or 2 weapons for 90% of the time you play
Hi, is there a list or a description of which mod does what?
In Mod organizer I don't know what to check / uncheck
because I don't know what e.g. FIAB or DNPCAV mods (and many others) do.
Not that I know of. The discord has the ‘guide to features’ which is close but there’s no comprehensive printout

i was looking to just delete all the mods i have right now and get efp but im wondering how much space does it take up when its all unzipped. i know its like 5gb download but thats beforehand so i would like to know. also does it only work on high end pcs or could i manage it?
My entire EFP folder is 45 GB, and this does include the Anomaly install
I wouldn’t say it’s ONLY for high-end PCs, but it is going to run a bit sluggish on the lower end stuff
You may want to read up on optimizations in the Discord, there’s sure to be helpful info laying around there
So does efp use a fork of desolation? I'm mostly asking because you can't upgrade guns in desolation afaik
Nope, EFP is built on top of Anomaly. And Anomaly is a custom 64-bit engine of Call of Chernobyl
I also ran all over the Darkscape "in the "southern region", is that one glitched or did someone find it?
The RF receiver has a two tone finder, vicinity and proximity. One will 'fade' beep for the general area and another that speeds up when getting closer to the loot. A lamp artifact which can be found in electro anomaly's early in game is useful as it makes RF and other notable loot locations glow.
*Leg has half health* Sleep heals limbs, but only slightly. *Wakes up with leg full health* 'Slightly'

Indeed, if you are on the discord there is a post in the #manual section about removing body health
If there isn’t I’d just ask in one of the chat sections, I’m sure someone can help you out

Tbh the only reason I started EFP is because BaS stand-alone didn’t have enough weapons and vanilla guns still looked ugly, I didn’t like gamma, found it boring. And provak just crashed to much.

it is actually possible to kill a chimera with just a melee weapon without ever getting hit. i'll let you figure that one out by yourself. :)

I love how people are saying EFP is more complicated and grindy then gamma even tho in my opinion GAMMA is ten times more grindy with upgrades and repairs
