Training with these videos has been very instructive. I make the models myself and then watch how they are designed here and always pick up a lot of tips every time I go through them. I've done this with almost every model in the model mania series.
Great videos, all of them from this source. Also very nicely narrated. I have to say though that my FOS always seems to be very slightly out. Displacement figures come up the same but the FOS just a tiny bit out. For instance on this part my FOS was 2.41165 instead of 2.43883. I'm not sure what difference this makes or why it does that.
they're determined using numerical methods so there is an inherent variance is the results. the percentage difference right there is inside 5% so its close enough.

I love these videos. Thanks for uploading here
I really likes these videos, it is not overwhelming (to much info at time). I use SolidWorks for years, but I always learn something useful.
Hi Jan Veit! We're please to hear that you enjoy our videos content! 😃
Weight ?
You all need to post mass solutions because we have no way of knowing if we are correct or not!

And my FOS came out to be 2.42799
Mine is another answer 2.41062
Not only precision but also accuracy is incorrect as far as I can see
this variance depends on your mesh settings and the way you tweaked it so as far as your answers is with in the 5% range you are good to go
Good Job ! Thanks for tutorial !
Having obtained FOS value of 2.43761 I could attain this year's model more accurately than the other year's models up to 2012
why cant i snap my sketch at the end of the part? for the cut extrude.
I did all the steps exactly like you and the safety factor is not the same. Why?? This happens in all videos

What is the mass of phase 1 part? Can anyone confirm? Mine was 272.66 gms
That simulation was cringy 😂
