Ahhh. I made a mistake by doing one cut in one plane, of 250mm radius, and another cut perpendicular to that at 75mm radius. Thanks for pointing out the fact that the distance from the 250mm radius arc was in fact 75mm. Silly mistake, but one I could not see.
Definitely an informative and useful video for CAD users. I tried to recreate this model myself and I should say I did it a little differently. I have some questions about the drafts and wish someone could explain them to me: - It is not mentioned which way the drafts actually start. I mean, which edge should be considered fixed and not to change. - The cylindrical part was drafted from the middle and in two directions. Why? Am I missing something? I would appreciate it if someone could explain that to me. Thanks.
You really do a great job with the videos. Thank you. I am going thru all of these one at a time to learn and get better. I need to get better with the keypad shortcuts. Thank you so much.

I like these tutorials, but it is frustrating that you model this with already knowing what the end result needs to be / changes needing to be made. You could say we do too but not if you treat it as the test it was originally.
Watching these tutorials in 2023! These lessons are still relevant and I learned a lot of new things from them! Thanks a lot!
From 2000 upto today the best option for preparation to CSWX certification exams.

i think there you forgot to draft the inner 3degrees to the inner curved surface of the shell. or the shell feature did that draft on its own??
It did.
Does the shell fail/create diffferent result for anyone else in Inventor?
Creates a different kind of shell where the bottom face is left out
For some reason I cant do the revolve cut, followed the exact same steps and it gives an error saying that the cut will result in zero thickness

3 Degree draft is missing on the faces of the pockets that are not the central boss!
I think since he has made the first boss extrude with a draft, adding the pocket as a shell will take care of that as well.
Thanks for the clear explanation.
Which CAD is best for me. I am confuse in choosing Catia or SolidWorks.. which one is best ?
SolidWorks!
which one you choose afterall?
Great video thank you!
Dont understand how the 75mm radius cut works out
On the phase 2 drawing, how did you create the isometric section view ?
Just worked it out, Use 3d view and rotate.
Love This Tutorial..
Amazing

Does it have an inventor ?
can it be converted into inventor ?
Simplest is the hardest one 🤓
cannot add the 1mm fillet.
Hi xujie! Please reach out to MySolidWorks forum: my.solidworks.com/forums.
Me too! I can't create the fillet at the point when he mentions using the inside faces. Do you happen to know how to fix it by now?
What about R250?
Там надо внимательно смотреть, не сразу понятно. Дуга радиусом 250 вращается вокруг оси, которая на расстоянии 75 от верхней точки дуги. См на 5:50
