I can't put my finger on what exactly makes this so incredibly hilarious, but it makes me laugh more than it should.
My only regret is not being able to see them perform in video, since there seem to be a lot of little visual jokes in there as well.

A 'plectrum' is a pick (guitar pick) , which are/were actually made from tortoise shells, mostly made of plastic or nylon now. Hope that helps!
