- Music video by John King of his version of Robert Burn's famous folk song "The Braes o Killiecrankie".
This video was filmed in and around Pitlochrie and Killiecrankie, Scotland - where the events of the Battle Of Killiecrankie took place in 1689.
50 years prior in 1966, the Scottish folk group "The Corries" created a black and white music video of the same song at the exact same locations. As a nod to the original, some of the shots from the prior version were recreated in colour. - Розваги

I discovered this song after seeing Big Country sing it years ago and has remained a favouriteif mine. I have always loved Scottish and traditional music. I only wish I could understand the lyrics.
Very nice rendition. Interesting to see the locations from the Corries video in the present age - the cars (and the markings on the road) have changed. I didn't realize Robert Burns wrote the song. When I was in college, our local piper (she must've been about 13 or 14 at the time) played this tune as part of a medley.

My ancestor, John Graham of Claverhouse (I'm of Graham Montrose blood) was killed in this battle. He was pierced beneath the breastplate by the enemy's musket ball and fell dying from his horse
Edit: He's a distant relative of a Montrose. I want to research more about the Graham Montrose clan as I don't know much about them. Technically it's the Graham clan but my ancestors are Montrose

First I have heard John King and love it. Hope he would play Glencoe on February 16. It was Wullie the Turd that ordered the massacre, intending to do the same with the rest of the Jacobite clans, but was stopped by public outrage and protest.
