గుంటూరు జిల్లా మాచర్లకు చెందిన శ్రీనివాసరావు 100 ఎకరాల్లో బత్తాయి, మామిడి సాగు చేస్తున్నారు. నీటి ఎద్దడి ఉన్న ఈ ప్రాంతంలో 500 అడుగులు వేసినా బోర్లు పడే పరిస్థితి లేదు. ఈ సమస్యను అధిగమించేందుకు ఈ రైతు.. వ్యవసాయ క్షేత్రంలోనే రెండు పెద్ద చెరువులని తవ్వించారు. వీటి ద్వారా నిల్వ చేసుకున్న వర్షపు నీటినే పంటలకు పారిస్తున్నారు. ఈ పద్ధతితో భూగర్భ జలాలు పెరిగి.. పక్క రైతులకి కూాడా సమృద్ధిగా నీరు అందుతోంది. అవకాశం ఉన్న రైతులు, తమ పొలాల్లో కందకాలు, కుంటలు ఏర్పాటు చేసుకోవాలని రైతు శ్రీనివాసరావు సూచిస్తున్నారు.

మరీ పూర్తిగా నీళ్ళని ఆపవద్దు సర్ ఎందుకంటే salanity పెరుగుతే, అది తిరిగి ల్యాండ్ అండర్గ్రౌండ్ వాటర్ వైపు వస్తుంది. అందుకే ఒక నతురల్ బాలన్స్ ఉండాలి, కొంత ఫార్మ్ పాండ్ ద్వారా నిలువ చేసుకోవాలి - కొంత సముద్రంలోకి వెళ్ళాలి.

@@1234venkatt we cannot control evaporation as temperature is raising every year due to humans and other factors, permeability of rain water we can increase to some extent with planting trees, trenches, etc, At the moment, mor water is running off from the farm lands and taking good soil along with that, on its way, most of it getting evaporated and some reaching oceans.

This is a lazy reporting and journalism,journalist should have showed how the tranches and farm look like,what are the crops they are growing in rest of 95 acres he should have asked what was the measures Farmer took and how many days it has taken to complete the project,any environmental issues risen during the project he missed the opportunity to ask so many questions disappointed

ఆలోచన గొప్పదే కావచ్చు కాకపోతే పెద్ద రైతులకు మాత్రమే సాధ్యం.
ఇంకోటి ఒక సంవత్సరం లో 3 పంటలు సాధ్యం కాదు. ఒక వేల సాధ్యం అయినా అలా పండాలంటే విపరీతమైన రసాయన ఎరువులు వాడాలి భూమి నాశనం అవుతాది.
